The Secret Garden was the site of my most perfect dream wedding reception.. I stumbled upon this place by driving down Dean Martin Way - and it truly is a secret garden.. hidden gem. Beautiful, quaint grounds. There is amazing Las Vegas history there - you get the charm of a Vegas wedding, without the feeling of a quintessential "Vegas wedding." Shannon and Cheryl met with us 6 months, 3 months, and 1 month prior to our wedding for planning and prep, and answered any and all questions via email and text in between. As someone who works in the entertainment/events industry, and is extremely picky and particular about every detail, I felt so happy and impressed with the outcome. They allowed me to direct my own vision and their team made it all come to life. Having them there to help coordinate allowed me to relax and enjoy my night, without a worry of having to handle things on my own. Trust me, do the Twilight Reception.. it's so worth it.. the garden comes alive at night - the chandeliers and lights in the trees were a dream for me - and to dance the night away under the stars... ugh.... Amazing! You get the best photos on the grounds. I didn't feel like I needed to add an abundance of décor, flowers, etc. because the grounds were so beautiful on their own.. especially in the spring. We went here for a wedding tour. No one greeted us. We were touring grounds ourselves. We told someone we were here for a wedding tour. They checked into and said she was on another tour right now and she will be with us. She later approached us and said "I heard you were looking for me?". She was all scattered and seemed disorganized. My Fiance and I just looked at each other. She was not prepared and no paperwork ready to give to us. Not a good first impression. We just attended a beautiful wedding at this venue. It is family owned and operated and I was blown away by their attention to detail, mindfulness of the weather and consideration of the bridal party and all guests needs. They had multiple areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception both indoors and outdoors. The food satisfied both the palates of the children and adults and their staff were all excellent. I had such a great chat with the bartender, Tad, who was very accommodating and funny. For the first time ever at a reception my water wasn't taken away from my table while I was on the dance floor, which is my biggest pet peeve. The ladies room was such a cute floral lounge with couches, magazines, and it even had showers and lockers as well as any little item you could need from your own purse like shout wipes, deodorant and mini tooth brushes to freshen up. I'm reviewing our vendors for our wedding and I was reminded of the only unpleasant experience we had during the process. Last year we made an appointment to view this venue. We arrived 15 mins early and there was no one on property. We knocked, called and left voicemails. We waited 30 mins after the appointment time until we gave up and went to the next place. The craziest part of this experience was they never even called us back! Our wedding turned out amazing -shout out Westin Lake Las Vegas- so maybe it was a blessing. Cheryl is the best! She was very communicative up until and after our wedding. She made us feel that we are really important to her not as customers but as friends. Anything that I could dream up or wanted she did. Nothing mattered to her more than us having a spectacular day. With any event not everything can go perfectly and our only gripe with the venue is that the pool wasn't cleaned. Other than that her and her staff were attentive, personable, caring, and fun! I recently went to a wedding at this venue and I must say that the banquet hall was disgusting. It looks like the carpet hasnt been cleaned in years nor the drapes on the ceiling. There is water stains and dirty leaves stuck in the drapes that hang from the ceiling. Outside is not that much better, most of the grass is dead, leaves and dirt in the pool and nothing has been deep cleaned even though we are in the middle of a pandemic!!! When my husband and I were first looking for a wedding venue, we knew Secret Garden was going to be the perfect location for our special day. We met with the coordinator, Erin, and it was clear that she was going to make the entire process easy and stress-free while still helping us customize every aspect of the wedding. We walked out of our first meeting and didn't even make it to the parking lot before turning around to put down a deposit. This location really is PERFECT. 1) Secret Garden is exactly 4 minutes away from the Silverton Hotel & Casino. We were told who to contact to make room blocks for our guests, and there is a shuttle that will go to and from the wedding venue. We had our wedding rehearsal the afternoon before the wedding, and we just went straight to the Silverton for our rehearsal lunch at the Seasons Buffet. The convenience of Secret Garden being so close to a hotel really made things easy. On the day of the wedding, we were able to get food at Cracker Barrel and get ready in one of the hotel suites, and it was relaxing knowing that the venue was literally right around the corner from us. 2) Erin and Lexie (our coordinators at the venue) made the process easy from start to finish. Erin is super high energy, positive, and fun to be around. Lexie is incredibly organized and accommodating, and they were both able to answer every single one of our questions. They had suggestions for us that really helped make our wedding day unique. For example, I wanted the four important men in my life to all walk me down the aisle without it looking messy. Erin and Lexie were able to sketch out a plan to have my grandfathers walk me half way, then my twin and father would stand up and come escort me the rest of the way. Our families thought that this was a beautiful moment during the ceremony. We appreciated that Lexie took time to meet with us multiple times to make sure every aspect of our wedding day was 3) The Secret Garden packages include EVERYTHING. This is a one stop shop for all of your wedding needs. You don't need to worry about bringing your own decorations (unless you want to - they will set up any custom items you bring), food, dessert, floral, minister, DJ, videography, etc. etc. For the price, there isn't a better venue in Vegas. Regarding decorations, they literally have a storage room FILLED with every possible combination of colors, themes, styles. We told Lexie that we wanted a rustic wedding. She showed us wood slices, lace, burlap, rustic wine bottles, lanterns, frames, books, wood slice table numbers, mason jars, paper flowers, etc. She set up multiple combinations for centerpieces, and we were able to have every table look unique. 4) The officiant, Mike, that Secret Garden works with made our ceremony unique and heartwarming. He personalized it to reflect our story, and all of our family and friends commented on how beautiful it was. 5) The Twilight package is 100% worth it if you want an outdoor reception. Our friends and family loved dancing and celebrating under the twinkle lights in all of the trees. The setup and decorations looked even more beautiful outside. 6) The food, cake, and beverages were delicious! Our package included a buffet, cake (4 layers - each layer was a different flavor), and open wine/beer bar. We also paid a bit extra for a pie bar and signature drink. Our signature drink was a rum/banana liqueur drink served at one of their open houses or food tasting events. Our guests LOVED it! Kelly used our Pinterest ideas to create a beautiful wedding cake with flowers all over. If you are able to, attend one of the Secret Garden's food tasting events. You will be able to try many of the menu items available for your reception. We went with chicken bruschetta and swai with mango salsa, and our guests really enjoyed it. Our package also included delicious appetizers and side dishes. 7) We loved the Secret Garden's DJ, Anthony Dollar! He played all of the requested songs for the ceremony from our DJ packet, and he made the reception super fun for our guests. He constructed an awesome playlist from some of our suggestions, and our guests had a lot of fun making their own dance requests during the reception. 8) The included floral + the extra floral we purchased were stunning! My bouquet was absolutely perfect with tulips, peonies, roses, baby's breath, etc. They were so fresh, colorful, and I noticed that some petals even had some sparkles/glitter! We paid for extra floral on our altar and on the centerpieces of all of the tables, and we were so happy with the results. We also had flower petals sprinkled down the aisle. Our rehearsal and wedding day ran smoothly and everything exceeded our expectations. It was extremely stress-free, and we have had nothing but positive feedback from our guests. I can say with certainty that it was the best day of our lives because of the kindness and professionalism the staff showed us not only that night but throughout the entire wedding process. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous with its outdoor and indoor settings. We were married outdoors in an adorable grove surrounded by lush trees and a beautiful fountain. We originally planned to have our reception outdoors as well, but the wind was too strong, so we opted to move it indoors. While we were forced into the decision by the weather, the team at the Secret Garden turned the indoor area into the perfect place to have our reception on incredibly short notice. We cannot speak highly enough of the two wedding coordinators, Cheryl and Kari. We worked closely with Kari throughout the whole planning process, and she took what little information we gave her - colors, general theme, and floral preferences - and created a perfect wedding for us. Both Kari and Cheryl were incredibly accessible throughout the whole process and would answer our questions quickly. Plus, both Kari and Cheryl were very attentive to my husband and I the entire night of - anything we needed, any concern we had, was immediately addressed personally by one of them. A lot of people say that wedding planning is one of the most stressful things you can do, but with Kari and Cheryl the entire process was stress-free. Their in house chef, Shy, made one of if not the best wedding meal we and our guests have ever had. We chose the chimichurri pork and bruschetta chicken for our entrees, and both were big hits. Kelli, their in house baker, made a delectable 4-tier wedding cake. We chose carrot cake with cream cheese frosting as our bottom tier, raspberry vanilla as our third tier, peanut butter cup as our 3rd tier, and smores as our 4th tier. All four tiers were fantastic, especially the carrot cake - both my husband and I firmly believe it's the best carrot cake we've had. All of the services and features that were included - the food and cake, the open bar, decor, DJ, photographer - were amazing, but were brought to a new level with the staff at the Secret Garden. At this point, Secret Garden was in contact with us for three years. We had built a lovely relationship and had shared many a great convo. They wanted this wedding to happen so badly and were just as upset as we were. They worked with us and offered to throw an elopement. Ironically in a turn of events, we ended up having some of my immediate family turn out and were able to have a tiny wedding after all- only 9 of us in total. They pulled this off in only a weeks time. We were still hammering out details days before from my hotel room in vegas. They worked with us financially and offered great support in every way. Wedding Date: 10/28/2017 Love this place. Being born and raised in Las Vegas I specifically did not want to get married in a hotel or on a golf course which is very standard for here. Recently attended a wedding here and I have never been more disgusted. The "grass" was more like mud and dirt especially around where the tables were at. The stone grounds are so old that they completely pop out of place and my friend tripped. The cloth napkins were 50 shades of white with stained red lipstick stains, makeup, food, and everything else in-between. The table numbers were filthy. The table covers were covered in more stains. You would think a big venue that over charged through the roof would have the decency to change out their cloth napkins and get new table number cards which are literal pennies. Very very greedy owners. On top of all of that ERIN their "coordinator" pretends to be sweet until papers are signed and then turns into the rudest person the day of the wedding. I never met anyone so disgusting. What a SHAME. My fiancé and I were considering this place for our wedding next May but ABSOLUTELY NOT. Future Brides STAY AWAY. Our Wedding: 9/3/17 Secret Garden was the perfect venue for our wedding and yours. Erin and her staff really did a wonderful job from start to finish on the big day. The food was exquisite, I think the cake was good. I didn't get to eat it but I think that's normal right (haha) #tooBusy. I think the photos are hugely important in any wedding because you want to memorialize the event. We were very thankful that she was so bossy. (Bossy in a good way that is!) She knew exactly what she was doing and kept everyone moving along quickly to get all the right shots. Not only was she a great photographer, she was very creative with her tools, and did I mention she was bossy ;).. she really controlled the situation for maximum efficiency and great photography throughout the evening. The food was great, often times you go to a wedding at least in my experience and the food is just ok, average or not good at all. Secret Garden's chefs and pastry chefs are fantastic. So many options, and food tastings prior to your wedding day to pick your menu. Excellent! Well done! The DJ was great, great job of playing to the crowd. My bride did a great job of giving him some music to mix in with his own and from that he was able to keep the party always moving in the right direction. I absolutely loved the collection of old cars we were able to rent for photos. I can't wait to see the photos, I know they're going to be great because of the beautiful venue, the old cars and the great photographer! PICTURE PERFECT WEDDING!!! Amazing Venue and Excellent Staff!!! My wife and I got married here in October 2016. We were looking for an outdoor venue and after visiting several other locations all over Las Vegas this is hands down the best! From the moment we stepped on the grounds we were welcomed like family from Erin and her amazing crew. I should mention that we live in Phoenix so we were expecting some challenges with planning an out of state wedding. This couldn't have been farther from the truth! They are the most experienced and professional staff we encountered. They assisted us with every little detail while we were planning our special day. The food, Pastor Mike and the DJ all exceeded our expectations. Unlike some other venues that have multiple weddings going on at the same time. The Secret Garden and the Staff will be dedicated to you and only you on your special day. The venue can accommodate indoor or outdoor weddings. If you are looking for a picture perfect outdoor setting to tie the knot this is the place. They twilight package is a must and is absolutely beautiful amongst the mature landscaping. The venue is located a short 10 minutes from the strip. With Erin's referral we were able to have a party limo bus shuttle the entire wedding back to the strip after the festivities ended. The main issue is that they are too laid back. The staff waits until the last minute. If your wedding isn't two weeks away they will only converse via email. And it could take a month for them to respond to you. I sent an email to the wedding coordinator a month and a half before my wedding date wanting to know why I haven't been able to meet with the photographer, florist, pastor, etc. I received no response. Less than two weeks before the wedding date I had to call the wedding coordinator. I was told my email must have went to their spam folder. We had been emailing for months without a problem. Even if that were true the coordinator should be the one calling me. HOW DO YOU NOT LOOK AT YOUR CALENDAR FOR UPCOMING WEDDINGS?!!!! So, this led to me having to meet with the pastor, DJ, florist, photographer and coordinator all at he same time. Which I'm sure is convenient for them, but was extremely stressful for me. The florist messed up on the bridesmaid bouquets. I wanted my maid of honor to have pink and yellow roses. And then bridesmaid 1 to have all yellow, bridesmaid 2 all pink and bridesmaid 3 all yellow. What I got was two bouquets with mostly yellow roses and a few pink. Then, two bouquets with mostly pink roses and a few yellow. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is. It was meant to show how special the maid of honor is. (And the fact that the maid of honor was my sister.) I saw the florist scribble this down on her paper. So, either she ran out of flowers or was just too lazy to look back at her notes. The good things about this venue are the price. You can bring in your own liquor. Which is amazing! I've never heard of any venue allowing that. I like the off the beaten path location and how it is actually a home. It can hold a lot of people. If the weather doesn't hold up they have an inside venue. The food was fantastic. It's a more unique option without the pretentious feel of all the other wedding venues I had seen. They include the pastor, DJ, food, photography & florist. So, to sum up you get what you pay for. The wedding did turn out to be beautiful and all the guests loved it. But, the ladies bathroom does need to be a complete room and air conditioned. There is a back wall but it doesn't connect to the roof. You can hear people talking outside. With my wedding dress on, my mom, bridesmaids and flower girls in the room I felt like I was going to faint from the heat. read more

After changing our initial plans to get married in Southern California, my husband and I were looking for a place that did not look like Las Vegas. After attending a bridal expo, I found The Secret Garden. After living in Las Vegas for over 10 years, I loved that it is not located on the strip, but in a quiet area in the South West of Las Vegas, which was also convenient to my father's home, where we were holding a BBQ the day after. Meeting our coordinator, Erin, put my bride stress to ease. She simply told me to bring her pictures of what I wanted and she would make it happen. All of my phone calls and e-mails were answered in a timely manner with reassurance and professionalism. The most important thing to me was the photography. I am a photography teacher and I prefer certain things. The photographs I received were exactly what I wanted. We have so many amazing photographs that it was difficult to decide which ones we wanted to hang in our home! Several friends and family express their jealousy of how amazing they look. I still speak with Erin and her crew at Secret Garden when attending events at McKee Ranch. They treat me as if I am family. To future brides: I highly recommend arriving in the horse and carriage. It is worth the money and memories! Use Pinterest or magazines to keep track of your ideas! Trust The Secret Garden to make your day magical. My husband and I found this gem when looking for outdoor venues in Las Vegas. I absolutely loved the garden setting, historic location, and beautiful interior. It was just what I was looking for. When we spoke with Erin and the staff, we fell in love with all the details of this venue. I was very excited for the antique car entrances for myself and my husband and thrilled that we wouldn't have to search for vendors ourselves! They also have a warehouse full of wedding decorations that are available for use! Erin and her staff are also Pinterest gurus and use your Pinterest site for help understanding your vision and working with you to design your dream wedding (which was very useful as we did most of our planning from out of state). Leading up to our June 13, 2015 wedding day, it was very easy to plan the details of our ceremony and reception with Erin and the vendors. We chose to upgrade some options and were satisfied with the package on others. We attended the tasting in February and were very excited about the tasty food options and the DJ! Our wedding day was perfection! Her staff treated my husband and I like royalty and made sure we were comfortable and relaxed. They handled some issues that came up quickly and professionally-most of them we weren't even aware of until after talking to our friends and family after the event. our friends and family LOVED our ceremony and raves about the food and the cake!!! (They saved the top tier for us, but had they not done this, I'm fairly certain that the cake would have been totally devoured!) Our guests also loved the DJ who kept the music fun and upbeat and took requests. He even turned down a request for a song from my "do not play" list, informing the guest that they needed to get my permission first before he would play the song. Overall, we loved our experience and are very satisfied with the Secret Garden staff!! I feel the need to address the complaint by the family who experienced theft during their wedding. While I am sad to hear that this happened, I have to say that lockers with locks and keys were available in the ladies bathroom. They could have locked their items securely, preventing the theft. One suggestion- if you find you are having difficulty getting in touch with the staff, I have found that sending emails on Mondays or Tuesdays guarantees a response before they get busy on the weekend (Fri-Sun). read more

My husband and I got married back in September 27th at Secret Garden underneath the beautiful bistro light. Erin, Lexie , chef Kelli, chef Shi and all the staff there are very nice, helpful and awesome. Food is delicious, my family and friends were amazed by it. I am so glad that I found this perfect spot to host my wedding. All the vendors from Secret Garden are very professional also. They communicate very well so I did not have to worry about anything. I have to say I have the easiest wedding ever. Everything is done in house and coordinated very well. Literately I just showed up and be beautiful. My husband and I got married here and it was wonderful! The staff was very pleasant to work with, especially Erin our wedding coordinator. She made everything stress free. Even different ideas you want to include in your wedding, they are happy to help make your dream wedding come true.
