I chose them because he answered promptly and gave me a quote for the project before asking me my address. He also did not spam me with calls and texts like some of the others did. When he came by my place, Jacob was kind and professional. He identified the problem quickly and made a plan to replace the disposal. I also had him look at the seal on another sink which was not what I called him out for. He did so willingly and was able to complete the repair. He charged an extremely reasonable price for both jobs and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. It has been a few weeks and the sink and disposal are better than ever. Upon inspection of the job the employee said it would be 1200.00. After my husband told him we couldn't afford that, he reduced the price to 1000.00. Even though our water had been shut off for 2 days due to the leak, we decided to get another opinion with a local plumber with a good reputation only about 3 miles from us. The second plumber came. He worked on an hourly rate. He was here 1.5 hours and charged us 275.00. We saved 725.00. I do believe Apex price gouged for this particular job. If it was just a difference of 100.00 or 200.00 I could maybe understand. I am so glad we got a second opinion. We will never do business with Apex. Sometimes a bigger, well known plumber isn't always better. Please beware of this company and always get a second opinion if you feel the price is too high for the job.
