This place is cute I love the vibe! Food was pretty good but service was kind of weird? It was two sweet girls who were working and they were nice but when I told them I was here a year ago I asked what the nice sandwich was on the outside of the shack. They both looked at each other confused and I told them I've had a turkey sandwich here- and tried to show them it was on the picture outside of the shack and they didn't say anything so I just ordered another item and it was still good just disappointing because they had the super yummy sandwich on there picture!!! They only have warm sandwiches or at least that's what the girls said but it was still yummy. On a hot summer day everyone's gonna want a cold sandwich so I would recommend a mix but whatever! :) read more

Extremely awful customer service. The staff could use some serious training on how to treat people. I understand that rules are in place, but the way they were enforced was completely unacceptable. No, I didn't notice the signs right away because my attention was on my children and getting our meals. Instead of politely explaining the policy, the staff came at us aggressively, raised their voices, and made a scene in front of everyone. They say respect is earned, and treating customers with basic kindness and respect goes a long way. A calm, courteous conversation would have solved the situation immediately. Instead, the experience was embarrassing and left us feeling completely disrespected. Reading through the responses to other reviews, it's disappointing to see that nearly every bit of criticism is met with defensiveness instead of being taken as an opportunity to improve. At some point, if so many customers are saying the same thing about the tone and customer service, it may be worth considering that the issue isn't always the customer. People are spending their hard-earned money to support your business. Showing a little grace over something simple and responding with kindness instead of hostility would go a long way. read more

Most everything is homemade and made with love, you can just tell by the way it smells and looks. Service is great. This random little shack in the middle of the main street of town serves up some delicious food! We passed by here while we were leaving Lava Hot Springs and decided to come back the next day for breakfast. It's a cute little shack with breakfast food, sandwiches, and specialty sodas. They also had some cookies and pastries. Some of the photos said they were take-out only, but they must've recently added their little seating area. They had a "warming shack" seating area with space heaters and plastic tarps blocking out the weather. We kept our coats and hats on, but we were able to eat comfortably in this little area! It looks like they have some additional patio furniture seating for the warmer weather as well. There were only 4 or 5 tables inside. We were there around 12pm on a Sunday and we had the whole space to ourselves. I got the veggie breakfast burrito, which wasn't on the menu! I had originally ordered their regular breakfast burrito without meat, and they let me know they have a veggie option with eggs, cheese, hash browns, onions, and peppers. You can upgrade your order and get two hash browns and a drink, which we did. GET THE HASH BROWNS HERE!!! If you get one thing, make sure it's the hash browns. I don't even think I got a pic of them cause we ate them so quickly. They were perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy and delicious. We almost ordered another order of them, but we were too full. read more

I don't know why people are giving this place 5 stars?! Maybe they're comparing it to the other restaurants in Lava because any other town this place would be a 1 star kinda joint. Burger was super dry and had no flavor. Tasted like a frozen patty from Costco. Also had the pita and hummus, not good. Two store bought pitas with a tiny container of Walmart hummus. Maybe the breakfast options are better? So much missed potential, but that sadly seems to be Lava Hot Springs theme. read more

Our new favorite for coffee and breakfast! We will be checking out the hotdogs next time we are in town. Hearty breakfast burritos for a very reasonable price, good coffee and quick service. They say "all to go menu" but there are some benches and tables in a patio area if you want to sit and people/dog watch. We ate there 3 times in one weekend. Clean place, quick easy food to grab between Lava adventures. * Rotating menu of specials and they said they were growing their menu all the time. read more

3 friends and I decided to indulge in a couple burgers after having a relaxing afternoon in the hot springs. After my first two friends ordered their food, my other friend and I did not have our orders taken until the first two already received their food. We then put our orders in and ended up having to wait around 40 minutes for two burgers. My order then ended getting messed up and when they offered to remake it they said it would be another 25 minutes. What was supposed to be a quick meal ended up being almost an hour long ordeal. read more

The food is well priced and you get large portions. It's not amazing but it is well worth it for a quick lunch. We stopped by during Octoberfest and they had karaoke and a pumpkin decorating contest. It was a fun relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed it until just before we left. My daughter wanted some of the trinkets they had for sale and since they were priced at $1 I told her she could pick some. When they charged us, they charged $2 each, I pointed out the mistake and even showed them where the price was marked at a dollar. Their friendliness instantly halted and I was told "that's weird my boss told me they're $2." I asked if the boss was there and was told no, I again said they should have only been $1 and was told "sorry, I was told they were $2," with a shoulder shrug. It was only a few dollars difference but it was the change in time and unwillingness to do the right thing that truly bothered me. read more
