My wife and I started a project with the Westbury location and omg, we are blown away by the professionalism, communication and top down stellar customer service from our project team from the Westbury store. We have nothing but good things to say, starting with out initial encounter with Lisa Cook, our project salesperson/designer. From the beginning, she was absolutely so patient and never rushed us during the entire process. Even with the multiple emails back and forth and the constant need for clarity, Lisa got it done! Shade store, be glad you have this person in your organization because she is absolutely a stellar performer. Each and every interaction was meaningful and Lisa is a very, very patient person. We truly loved this about her. Cannot, cannot say enough good things about her. What a warm soul. For our next team member, Mr. Winston our installer!!! Wow! His measurements are spot on and he did an absolutely amazing job. If you can get him for your measurement consultation, please request for him. What an absolute professional and he explains everything to the smallest detail. Shows up on time and communicates every step of the way. We were so fortunate to have him in our home. Although there was a small hiccup with four of the valances [no fault of Winston] he immediately saw the issue and after the install, called the warehouse and informed them we would need remakes to be done. Talk about integrity. If Winston would never have told me that, i would have been none the wiser. Wow! Amazing that in this day an age, there are individuals that care about good honest work and regardless of this small imperfection, he made mention of it. Thank you Winston. I have already started showing the results of the install to all my family and friends and am happy to do it! I've worked with Shade store in both CA and Long Island New York for two different homes. Im very impressed with the quality of the shade store window treatments and have incorporated many of the options in both homes. The fabrics are consistently high quality, the trims are beautiful and the workmanship is equivalent to any high quality custom treatment. That said, the most impressive factor in my recommendation lies in the consultant I worked with in my second home in Southampton NY. This far and away exceeded the experience I had years before with the consultant in Mill Valley, CA. Blythe is a master collaborator, designer and is incredibly detail oriented. She excels at both the ideas and design - in terms of fabric, fabrication and treatment recommendation and is not afraid to jump right in there with her ideas and opinions. She made every decision better. She's also patient, hardworking and reliable - always delivering by the deadlines we set. Her attention to detail is remarkable -.from every aspect - functionality, measurement, installation and communication. She was on top of it all throughout the process. I could not be happier with my purchase of remote-controlled shades from The Shade Store. From beginning to end the entire experience surpassed my expectations. We had a wonderful experience dealing with Blythe Tract at The Shade Store in Garden City. We started out replacing our bedroom shade with a wonderful textured shade to match our newly painted walls and decided to go with the convenience of remote since the shade is behind our headboard and difficult to reach. We have been thrilled with our choice. It is quiet and fully blocks out the light when lowered completely. We matched the fabric with another that allows light to come through but preserves total privacy for our bedroom bathroom. This was also a great choice. It is a sturdy design and an easy upgrade to our little bathroom. Blythe was extremely helpful in offering and patiently explaining various possibilities when we came to the showroom. Nothing but wonderful things to say about Blythe! From our first interaction, she was warm, trustworthy and productive...all during a global pandemic! I still can't get over how someone can help design a room without stepping foot in it. It's was as if Blythe was there within each room with us. I used The Shade Store in Garden City, NY with the excellent service of their design consultant, Liz Irwin for updating 2 rooms. I was actually able to shop online with Liz's help. First I emailed her pictures of the two rooms that needed updating. Liz explained the differences between the products that I was looking at online. I selected a roller shade for the kitchen window and a Roman shade for the family room. Liz sent me numerous samples for these rooms. All of the samples are free. She is a very experienced an a most patient consultant. I actually enjoyed the process of selecting shades. I was never rushed. The Shade Store has a huge selection of products. Online, I filled out information concerning the two windows, my measurements, the type of cord, the selection of the type of shade bottoms, whether or not I wanted valances. Liz's help with this information was invaluable. Winston came to measure the windows and give his suggestions. Winston is also very experienced Shortly later, I received an email from Liz to verify all the information and then accept the quote. The price is well worth the services of The Shade Store. Our "family room" windows face southwest, so a great deal of sun comes in during the afternoon making it almost impossible to enjoy the room during the brightest and hottest times of year. For awhile we've thought about hanging curtains or shades, but we also have a nice view and didn't want to diminish it. Thank goodness we finally went to the Shade Store (Garden City location) after visiting several other shade/curtain retailers. First, the Shade Store is set up beautifully so that you can really see the many window covering options available. (this is not the case for many other retailers). Our sales representative, Rachel Bonner, listened carefully to our concerns and helped us pick just the right transparency and color for light filtering roller shades. When you encounter a retailer that provides exceptional products and services, it is worth noting. We spec'd out installation of drapes and shades from a few sources before choosing the Shade Store. It turned to be a wise choice. We worked with Brandon in their Walnut Creek store (remotely from the our project on the East Coast) and it was a flawless experience.
