One tortoise was being extremely aggressive toward another, repeatedly ramming it, biting at its legs and shell openings, and flipping it over. At one point, the other tortoise was stuck against the wall and had been turned onto its back. I understand that it's mating season and some aggressive behavior can be natural, but repeatedly overturning another tortoise can still be dangerous if it isn't able to right itself. I alerted staff because I was genuinely concerned, but I didn't feel like the situation was taken very seriously. I also know the zoo lost its tiger last year. I understand the tiger was 17 years old and that older animals do pass away, so I'm not suggesting that was necessarily anyone's fault. But combined with what I saw during this visit, it left me feeling uneasy about the overall level of attention being given to the animals. I really wanted to enjoy this zoo, especially as a family outing, but unfortunately I left feeling more concerned about the animals than impressed by the experience.

Lots of benches and areas to relax and enjoy the views. There are also lots of sculpture and art installations. Informative signage give informatin about the plantings. Gardening tips help point out which plants might fit your garden's needs. A small but well stocked nursery offers an selection of plants you can buy and take with you.

You can imagine my surprise when I found her again when I moved to SLO so many years later. I boarded my horses at their place and knew it would be clean and the horses well feed. Also close to trails leading down to Montano de Oro I think the greatest thrill was taking my grandniece for a lesson with Barbi. She didn't disappoint. Her ability to communicate and influence your horses gait attitude and suppleness was fine tuned. My grandniece and I were blessed. Thank you Barbi for being a true professional and notexcepting anything but there best from any rider. Her accomplishments in the Dressage World are legendary.

What an amazing surprise to find such elaborate and well-designed escape rooms. We did all four…read moreover the course of a week during a two-week drive around central California. Everyone at Margarita was super nice, and you could tell that everyone involved with the escape room were hardcore enthusiasts. Rita's is their stand-alone, which was a lot of fun and was challenging but not frustratingly so. Definitely can do it with two people with minimal to no hints. Renegade is where they really bring it in terms of design and puzzles. We escaped Retrofit but needed help, and Episodes 2 and 3 were very challenging (we did not escape). Having a third or fourth person would have helped. I can't say much without spoiling anything, but they definitely put their love into this one. It is the same set for all three chapters, but certain elements are only active depending on which episode you're playing. But if you hate lock heavy rooms then this one is for you. I think just about every puzzle you solve leads to the next one without ever having to spin numbers or letters on a lock. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping off here. Plenty of parking and there's Ancient Peaks wine tasting room with a menu across the street. Or The Range or The Porch not too far up the road.
