Wow what a beautiful experience! We did the horse tour. Chelsea was great! She taught us so much about horses. She made us feel comfortable being around these big beautiful creatures. My boyfriend and I were both nervous because we'd never been around horses but Chelsea taught us exactly what to do. We felt very comfortable around them. We got to visit with the mini horses and some burritos. They were so cute! It was so much fun! She also gave us some great business advice as we are planning on opening our own farm in the future. We did the Hands on Horses tour while in town and Chelsea and her animal family are delightful! We were able to meet, interact with, and learn about large horses, mini horses, mini donkeys, and a goat! The horses are very friendly and it was fun to brush them and see their various personalities. The mini donkey is my favorite because he's quite snuggly, he leans into you. This was a relaxing experience, perfect way to spend an hour or so in the morning or afternoon while in the area. They also have a goat experience and other activities. You can tell that Chelsea takes excellent care of her animals, she takes pride in sharing them with others. read more

We had the best time at the farm today. We were with the horses and donkeys and it was amazing. The owner was very informative about the animals and very good with helping us breath and love on the animals. However, they recommend the experience. I had a wonderful experience hosting my daughter's birthday party at Shady Oaks Farm. From beginning to end, Chelsea was friendly and very responsive. She was able to book us last minute for a Paint a Pony birthday party. The day of was seamless. Chelsea was extremely helpful and even assisted with the decorating. The barn is spacious and clean, you have a small bathroom in there as well. She set me up with two tables for guests, a food table, and a gift table. The party itself was a blast, Chelsea was great with the kids. The birthday girl and her friends brushed, painted, and bathed Princess Priscilla. The Shady Oaks Farm was a really great experience for myself and my kids (7 and 3). Chelsea did an awesome job of tailoring the tour to what my kids were comfortable with, and by the end even my shy 3 year old was having a great time petting and talking to the miniature horses.
