First time here, came with kids and was excited. About 45 minutes before closing mind you. Was not greeted and left to wait for 5 minutes. Finally someone came out and did not greet us either. Decided to try a new place for lunch. I ordered a regular hot dog with onions, cheese, mustard, and ketchup, along with crinkle fries, a soda, and a peanut butter ripple milkshake. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean, and the food came out fast. There's 50's-70's music playing and it has a very soda shop vibe. Tuesday is dollar hotdog day, but be prepared to wait. It's worth the extra $1.14 to come another day and not have the crowd. The food was pretty much what you'd expect. Hot, tasty and fresh. The milkshake wasn't as thick as I like but the flavor was good. The table next to me was raving about their banana split, so I'll have to try that next time. Atmosphere 3/5 - looks like a froyo place and not my thing, the bright chairs should be brown or black, the wall should be black, brown or beige, maybe red but definitely not pink. The walls could use some more decoration Food 4/5 - good for lunch, their potato soup is good, they top it with nice crispy bacon and cheese. and the beef hotdog was very good, top notch in terms of hotdogs but I felt the bun was too big, the fries were good. I have only tried the Hot Dogs. I asked for a chili dog. What I got was chili that was terrible. After the first bite the chili was running down my hand aka brown water and did not taste good. If you are going to be a Hot dog first business and charge a premium price make your own chili. The dog seemed fine. The shop is quaint and they have wide selection of hot dog toppings and ice cream. The service was efficient and the employees were polite. The food was average. I think they have a ventilation problem, though. It was so smoky inside that everyone's eyes were watering the entire time. We will come again. It's a good place to bring kids. read more

Who could resist something called a Space Dog. I had two. They were great. Nothing fancy going on here. Folks are friendly. The place is clean. They make a solid dog. The chili has never been to Texas. The weenie never met a rabbi. It's wholesome food. Good quality frank, but cheap. Same with the bun but it came steamed and went down easy. The chili is somebody's mommas recipe with twice the hamburger. Not too spicy but was still chili. Chili rode the bun well as did the tomato and onion. It was the kind of chili dog you could eat with one hand in three big bites while riding a bicycle. read more

My partner and I have came here a few times and thought we had found our new spot until the last visit, my partner ordered for us and asked, politely and twice just to make sure that none of the hot dogs have mustard. The girl repeated it back both times and we got our food, left and after we reached the park, my partner checked and every single one of them were COVERED in mustard, underneath and over them. We had to throw them all away and truthfully it felt a little spiteful. We are always very kind to anyone in customer service or food service and the girl who took our order seemed that way too but there is just no way they mistakenly put that much on there and on every single one. It left us both feeling disappointed and we ended up just getting food from another place in town, hopefully whoever made it leaves or at least learns not to do such things like that as it lost our business going forward. read more
