After I was kicked out, they refused to refund my membership fee and locker fee, but continued to charge me monthly rent and locker fees until I updated my credit card. And they refused to accept all of my emails, even though they were very important to me.

The accelerator had a wonderful sense of camaraderie and was a supportive environment in which to learn business essentials, and to learn from each other. Outside the accelerator program, the Dojo is a really friendly, grass-roots environment in which people can hang out, do work, and share ideas, and the people in charge of it are very passionate about it. (As an example of it being a friendly place, one of the regulars there impromptu-shared delicious bacon sandwiches that he had just barbequed.) I've grown very fond of it.

This review is for a summer camp, for younger kids. I was really disappointed given the high price…read morepoint for the camp (it was more expensive than any other camp we did this whole summer). It was supposed to start at 9:30am, but they sometimes took the kids back a whole 30 minutes late. Given again how much we're paying, this makes no sense. Also was super disappointed that they would play multiple movies each day in the background while the kids were working. It's not necessary at all, and some of the movies my son described weren't appropriate. We wouldn't do this camp again.

Didn't realize such a cool place existed!…read more Tucked away on the 2nd floor of a building on mission street, this place is hard to notice even if you walk by--it took me a while to find it even though I already looked up the address online. Inside, the place is filled with crazy gadgets and electronics. Mitch, the instructor for the soldering class, is crazy helpful, and the soldering class was actually really fun--I almost forgot how therapeutic soldering can be. Kind of like meditation. There was also another web design/programming class going on on the other side of the building. The class was full, and folks there seem to be enjoying themselves also. Overall, a pretty cool place to chill out and visit.

Maybe you have other purchases in mind rather than photoshop suite, a space to shoot objects, a table saw, a compressor, drills, or a welding rod. Creative tools can be expensive... why not share instead of investing in something you will use only a few times? Well, you can thank your lucky stars you stumbled across this place, and thank the Mother/Son team who built the organization along with other contributors and volunteers. Lots of love has poured into Chimera. A dream come true for anyone who wants to take on new project or learn a new skill. Walking around I couldn't help but notice creativity fills every inch of the space, a 100 year old Truck converted to battery powered by solar, a fun frisbee game welded out of bicycle tires, chains and a stand... a two seater recumbent bike (maybe a burning man creation?) awesome sculptures hanging inside. I feel fortunate to have come here with friends to work on another friend's project. We spent the day in the space working quietly and met a handful of people. Including an inventor who was volunteering at the front desk, and a web designer who helps fellow makers create an online presence and market their work. Helpful, cheerful, and excited about what this space is for the community each and every person lit up with a smile when they talked about how great Chimera is. With entry level memberships at around $10 per visit, it's affordable for even a dabbler or someone from out of town who wants to rent an airbnb and have a long weekend of tinkering. Conveniently located near downtown, the community market (also a NPO, run by VERY nice volunteers) is across the street offering locally made food, and an organic food bar. There is a CVS several doors down, and downtown has a variety of restaurants and a whole foods market too. If you're still reading, you're clearly curious... Come learn how to 3D Print, or use a laser cutting machine, weld, sew, make jewlery, and then photograph your Etsy worthy pieces and have a great time! Need photoshop or video editing? They have computer stations you can use too. Such a great spot! Come on by and say hello. I promise they're friendly. I received a glass flameworking class as a surprise for Christmas, paid for, with the option for me to move it to a number of dates. I chose the March 8th date. It's been THREE MONTHS of multiple calls, voicemails, and emails per week to The Crucible. We have gotten ONE single response the entire time: something to the effect of "so sorry we dropped the ball - we'll get back to you," then.... nothing. None of our calls or emails or voicemails have been returned. The March class date has now passed, and not a single offer of a refund or a reschedule. We're doing a chargeback, which we really hate to do since it's so detrimental to the business, but... if it weren't for all these other reviews I'd wonder if this place even exists? Three full months of effort on our end and not a single useful human answer?Hoping this review plus the chargeback gets us some sort of resolution.
