This was my first time visiting this hookah lounge. It's located to the right of the Planet Fitness, so if you can't find the actual hookah lounge sign, look for the Planet Fitness sign, you cant miss it. There's plenty of parking available, which i might add is free of charge. I will agree with others that this lounge has plenty of space, however, it lacks staff. The layout of the seating is well thought out, but service was be horribly slow and when I visited there was maybe 30 customers. It seemed that there was maybe 2 servers, and no hands in the back to prepare hookahs so the servers would have to take the time to do both take orders and prep hookahs. Also, it seemed as if there were either close friends or employees who were off the clock that would walk to the back and prep themselves hookahs which then caused for more traffic for the 2 only servers to work around. It took almost 20minutes to have our server take our order, then another 20minutes to actually receive our order and finally 20minutes to get our check paid for with card. The hookah itself was only "okay," I'm certain that the packing of the shisha could be significantly better because i've been smoking and prepping my own hookahs for over a decade now. I will say that the selection of shisha is pretty basic, but if you just want a place to sit and chill and aren't too picky about flavor, this lounge should suffice. If management could either add some helping hands for prep and service, I feel like it definitely change the experience. The wait times were way too long for something that would not take a more crammed lounge to work with similar occupancy. The ambiance is chill and fun depending on the day. It is no longer overly crowded with young kids. The decorations and look is a work in progress, but understandable since it's under new management. This place is horrible. We walked in, and there was no one in there, except for two people at 10:30 PM. And then we had someone greet us at the door and asked if we had cash, and when we told him no and then he asked if we had cash app. We asked him why and he said it was a long story and we're not taking credit cards right now. This place has been under different management three times in the past 2 years. I originally avoided it because of the poor atmosphere, with the second set of management it started off good and declined quickly. Finally with the current management things are looking up and I come here very frequently, at least 4 times a week if not more. The shisha selection is good for the most part, I do wish flavors like Cherry or brands like Haze, Ugly Tobacco, and Trifecta were more in stock but that's not a huge problem. If you don't know what you want, the servers will make you what you want based on their experience. The staff here is very friendly. I usually come to The Shisha Lounge very frequently. One of the employees, Adil, plays chess with me when he is off work and makes sure I have everything I need or want when he is working. All of the employees there seem passionate about providing a high quality of service. The shisha lounge is always clean when you come in on any day now as well. As for the place, they don't sell food but you're allowed to bring your own in and eat it there. No alcohol sold or able to be brought in. $14 hookah during happy hour from Sunday-Thursday. They recently made a time change of when the place opens which I'm a little sad about but I believe happy hour is in between 4 and 7PM and all you have to do is order before 7. If you bring your own shisha it's also $14 as if it were happy hour. Regular hookah is $20 and I believe fruit bowls are $25. Repacks are $8 which is super cheap so you could keep smoking forever. They have plenty of board games or cards for you to play with your friends such as Monopoly, Jenga, Sorry, and Scrabble. Parking is free and there are plenty of food places around the area. I believe the place is still going through progressive changes so I'm sure they'll be even more positive things to write about in the future. read more

We're moving to the neighborhood on Saturday. After a final walk-through of our house, we decided to take a quick ride through the neighborhood before heading home. We pulled into a non-descript shopping center and to our surprise, tucked in a little corner next to the gym, was a simple neon sign that read, "Shisha". A hookah bar right up the street from us!? I love my new neighborhood already. We stepped into the quiet and cozy café and were greeted by a cheerful and charming hostess that invited us to make ourselves comfortable wherever we liked. She offered us drinks and told us that we were welcome to grab food from any of the nearby restaurants since they don't sell any. All the other hookah bars I've been to either don't sell (and don't allow) food, or you have to order from the limited menu they offer. Since hookah bars are often small and staffed by a few people, I've always had reservations about eating at a place that barely has enough room in the back for the shisha, much less for sanitary food prep. I like being able to eat what I want, smoke what I want, and not have to worry about a run-in with e-coli in the process. Big points for that! Our hostess answered all of our questions and offered some really great recommendations. We took her advice on the grapefruit and mint blend with grenadine (pomegranate). It was smooth, refreshing and delightful. Different than anything I've had before. She told us she was "obsessed" with that flavor. I could totally see why. The night of our visit was also the umpteenth anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.'s death. The café was live streaming a broadcast of Hot 97's Biggie tribute mix. They played ALL his old hits and it took me back to junior high/high school! Loved it! They played some newer rap songs later in the evening... a little too hood for me, but the college kids in there seemed to be feelin it. *shrug* The café itself is dim, clean, comfy and spacious. Everyone was doing their own thing, but the vibe still remained mellow. It's definitely the kind of place you could hang at for hours by yourself or with friends. I saw about a dozen or so board games in there, and a group of guys beside us were playing cards. There are also 6 flat screen TVs in there: The channel that is on in front of you is also the channel playing on the TV above your head. This allows you to watch whatever you're watching with an unimpeded view and without straining to hear. I also saw a projector, some turntables and a set of congas, so I can only imagine how it goes down in here on the weekends! The staff was hanging out among the patrons, so at first it was kinda hard to tell who was who, but they made their rounds often, brought fresh coals without being asked and checked on everyone regularly to make sure we didn't need anything. Great atmosphere and great service...No doubt this is the best hookah bar I've ever been to. Any place that has me hanging out until midnight on a Monday like I don't have to take my ass to work in the morning is alright with me! read more

My friend and I were bored at home and wanted to go out on a Sunday at 12:30am instead of sleeping like normal people do. Yelp suggested this Shisha lounge and said it was open late, (3am). I was disappointed that they didn't sell alcohol because then I would not have taken an uber, instead I would have driven there. I tried calling ahead but nobody answered probably because they couldn't hear over the DJ spinning. The DJ played really good music and the atmosphere was good and chill. I came here last weekend, and it was a pretty chill spot. (I'm not from this side of Maryland) The place was very spacious, the couches were comfy, the hookah was on point, the music they were playing was great! Literally everything was great about this place! The place also has bowls (for hookah) and flavor that they i believe sell here. The service is excellent! Our server was really nice and made sure we were doing okay as we were just hanging out and having a good time. We got the mango & mint hookah. It did take some time for them to bring out the hookah, however it was perfect when they brought it out. The flavor had a nice even balance of mango and mint. The smoke was smooth and milky. Perfect! I'm a regular hookah smoker, so I'm usually pretty picky on how some places make their hookah and whatnot. But this place is one of the few places I really like, cause they know what they're doing, and they're doing it very well! Love this place! We came here for 4th of July and had a really nice time. It was a very chill environment. When we got there, it was pretty much empty. I'm sure everyone was out enjoying fireworks or something. We got a table fairly quickly. The server was uber helpful. He didn't even fuss when we decided not to go with the specialty hose and asked him to change it back. Best part about this place... it's affordable AND it's so close to my house. Went here with my friend after a wedding (yea it was needed!) Every other hookah place I've visited had food and at least alcohol but this was completely different. They have TVs, comfy seats and hookah. That's it! No food, but possibly canned sodas, bottles of water and candy/chips. Looks to be run by a group of young guys who were pleasant but smoked hookah with friends the entire time. One guy mentioned I could bring outside food, but everything in shopping center was closed. Had to find someone in group of friends mentioned earlier to fix hookah because it did not seem to be pulling. Not too much to review because there's so little in the establishment. I would recommend if you do not care for food or alcohol while doing hookah. Good idea for pre or post dessert after dinner. read more

After an awesome July 4th with the girls we decided to end our night here. Being shisha lovers we wanted to try something new so we had the host mix us up something special. It was really good. He added this special hose that had an ice cube dispenser in it. It was really good but not worth the extra money so we had them return it. The ambiance was good and the music was mello. The place is very nice inside but I think the age limit should be raised to at least 21 in over after a certain time. Also I believe they should get better security who search people thoroughly before entering. Went there on may 2, 2015 and the owner was very rude to me and my friends who I told to come because I had been there the week before and thought the place was nice. I also believe if the owner is going to charge patrons to enter he should make sure he collects the money at the door don't let them sit down first. Their should also be some type of pricing list available so you could be clear about what exactly your paying for.
