Update - 5/4/2019 This place has become my group of friends go to chill spot on the weekends. We started coming here a few months ago and it has grown on us. It's become our second home for us to mingle, catch-up, and just chat about our week :) Unlike other hookah bars that are loud, and a bit ratchet, Shisha Barn is the spot where it's very relaxed, clean, and the owner/workers are actually super nice. They also know how to prep the hookahs right. Every time we go, we are always welcomed by their super friendly owner. We tell him which flavor we want and he immediately starts packing. It usually comes out within 5-10 minutes which is super fast. He brings out a hygienic hookah with a brand new hose and 4 coals. The 4 coals is key. Nowhere else does this. They usually give 1 and you have to ask for more. I love how Shisha Barn gives us so many coals and gives us total freedom for how we want to light and arrange the coals on the bowl. Music plays in the background which adds to the great social environment. Bathrooms are kept very clean. Props to them! Would 100% recommend this place. Super friendly workers and the price is very good. I'm very happy with everything here and will definitely keep coming back. It has a special place in my heart

NOT CLOSED Not sure why it says it is closed. Been here a few times in the past couple of weeks. Place is super chill and clean. They have soft drinks, fruit Juices and some deserts. Music is not too loud and you can go with fiends or just take your laptop to do some work using their free wifi :) Just wanted to update my review and say that I've been coming here for years now and I still love it. Nice, clean, chill place to smoke :) They Recently started HAPPY HOUR on Sundays...Which is awesome so..... come enjoy :)

I used to avoid this place because it wasn't up to my standards, until recently. My friend and her friend would come to this place rather often, that one day I decided to join. My opinion about this place did a complete 180! The service is quick, unlike Vibes in Rockville which takes forever. He also gives 3-4 coals in the tray already so no need to constantly bug him unlike at Elite where I have to yell "coals!" Regardless of all that, the ambience is a pleasant place to study, chat with friends, play cards/games (which is usually what I come here for), or watch tv. The music is also not blasting. The location is pretty ideal as well. With an Indian restaurant right next door, a 7-11 around the corner and a 24-hour Subway nearby, all in walking distance, the fact that there's no food isn't a problem. There's a little bit of daylight seeping through the massive windows and the lights are always on, unlike both Vibes and Elite. I'm a sucker for natural daylight especially when I'm doing work. However, I do wish they opened a little bit earlier than 5. That's why I enjoyed going to Sir because I would pass the evening after-work rush. The lemonade is actually pretty good, and he even asks about sweetness level which was something that shocked me. Overall, this is a nice quaint place to go for a chill weeknight or weekend.

This place is very relaxing. The owner (Hani) is very friendly and attentive. He makes sure you're having a great time. I came here after a tiring day at shopping and got very relaxed, it was like a mental therapy. Now I come here regularly driving for more than an hour. I would highly recommend this place if you wanna hang out with friends or even alone! They have an open space too which is great for summer. Also, they've free WiFi for customers so you can even work. Prices are pretty reasonable too.

*Renovated* Welcoming ambiance, experienced hookah master Hany :) I've been coming here for almost 2 years and can say the hookah is phenomenal. Went on a break to detox and came back- if anything, everything got even better. My go to: Pineapple head hookah Safari melondew + mint mix shisha Turkish coffee Many thanks to Hany for always presenting excellent service and a genuine kind persona to make every experience the best. Five stars!

The owner is very friendly and took time to sit and chat with me a little bit. This is unlike any hookah lounge I've been too, in a great way. It's not the party late night nasty place. They have a great selection of hookah flavors that they pack perfectly. They keep up with bringing fresh coals so you are never waiting to enjoy your hookah. The decor is like someone's living room with either table and chairs or comfortable living room style chairs. The music is at a perfect volume to be able to sit relax and still talk. Tvs on both sides of the wall so you can see you can watch the games from any place in the room. The sections are spaced out so you don't feel like you are on top of the people next to you. They do not serve food but I was able to order Uber eats with no problem from the owner. He told me he has been here for 6 years so that tells you he is doing it right. I travel a lot and wish I was in this area to call this my home lounge. Will be back whenever in this area.

First off, this place is NOT CLOSED!! It is very much open and operating full speed. Wow... this place is by FAR the best hookah bar I have been to in a while. First off, the atmosphere is great, laid back, and relaxing. They have an outdoor seating area with tables, chairs, and benches under a tent that is lit with string lights. Inside is comfy seating with nice rustic decor. Next, their hookahs! Amazing! I love how clean everything is and that they use disposable hoses. The flavors are great and whenever you ask them to mix flavors, it is always PERFECT. My go-to there is Irish Peach and Mint. Lastly on the menu are their drink and food selections. I personally haven't tried any of the food but there is a nice selection of soft drinks, coffee, teas, and smoothies/milkshakes (which are FANTASTIC). Overall, it's such a friendly environment and the owner is the sweetest and most accommodating person. I have met so many great people coming here too because everyone socializes together. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

Great revamp of the previous spot. Same management, better quality hookah and service. Nice selection of drinks and snackz including soda, smoothies, fingerfood and more! Seating is spacious and the decor is pleasing. Great environment for hanging with friends or studying. -------------------------------- EDIT: updating my review to take away 2 stars for the fact that's this location is not a vape friendly shisha spot.

    Inside!

In my opinion, this is the best hookah spot in MD. The atmosphere is always fantastic and relaxing. The music is never blaring and the owner, Hani, always keeps it spotless. I've been to a lot of different hookah bars and I can confidently say that The Shisha Barn's hookah is QUALITY. Highly recommend!

The actual hookah was mid at best for D.C I was expecting a lot better. Then when it came to the bill we were charged $4 for each bottle (of which we were not even told there was a charge at all for water, and no we did not specifically ask for a sealed bottle all we asked for was water the sever never said tap or bottled, she just automatically brought us sealed) when on the menu they were priced at $3.50 sure it's .50 but when there was five that .50 extra could have almost bought another bottle. Also when she brought the bill she did not even show the itemized bill at first all she showed was the tip screen which upon doing the math from what we ordered vs paid we realized the amount was way higher than what we got and so we asked for the copy of the receipt only to find out there was ALREADY a service charge on there of which was NOT a credit card charge because we paid in cash and when asked what the cash total was she told us $60.31 yet the copy showed the cash price was $57.91 also they charge for charcoal, what am i suppose to do bring my own charcoal? i've never had to pay extra for charcoal they just include it with hookah price, absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the vibes in this place is like an absolute funeral, all the pictures made this place look so fun and great, but no it was worse than funeral. I felt even more so like i was at a funeral after I realized how badly my wallet was robbed. I will never come back here.

The lounge is on the smaller side, which actually worked well for the event and gave it an intimate vibe. The owner was also very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The menu is extremely limited, and you pretty much have to piece together a meal from a few items. I ordered the jollof rice and six-piece chicken wings. The wings were overpriced, overcooked, and had no flavor at all. The only options were sauces on the side (honey, ranch, or blue cheese), and when I specifically asked for honey drizzled on top with blue cheese on the side, that request wasn't followed. Even more frustrating, our server never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay. The jollof rice was honestly the worst part. Instead of that rich, smoky flavor you'd expect, it tasted burnt with a harsh charcoal aftertaste. I've had jollof rice many times before, and this was nowhere close. I ended up sending it back. Because I was hungry, I forced myself to eat the wings, even though they were dry and lacked flavor. Overall, Myste Lounge has a nice look and potential, but the food and service really need improvement. A revamped menu and better attention to guests would make a huge difference.

Hookah was smooth and the atmosphere was laid back. They do sell food, but we didn't try it this time. While there are some good things about the place, which I will list first, there are some not-so-good things. The good --- When we arrived, the place wasn't busy at all. There were a few people sitting outside. The dining room was empty. Throughout our meal, we had the place to ourselves. Our server greeted us and seated us. Masha was very friendly, polite, and efficient. The dining room was decorated with artificial hanging plants. Also, there was a large mural of Eve holding the apple with the serpent coaxing her to eat it. Now for the not-so-good things --- getting to the entrance wasn't easy, especially for my husband, who is waiting to get his knee replaced. To reach the entrance, you had to walk down a paved path with descending steps after parking the car. Upon entry, we had to climb a somewhat long staircase. On the way out, Masha stated that there was a ramp and pointed to a door leading to the kitchen and said we could go out that way. We chose to exit the way we entered. Also, they don't have any printed menus -- just a QR code to scan for the menu. We found that to be off-putting. Fortunately, we had already decided what to order before coming here. We chose to start with "Zaytoun", which consists of "Mixed Pitted Olives Tossed In Extra Virgin Oil. GF". This was a tasty starter. There were a few different types of pitted olives. However, we didn't think that there was any olive oil in the small bowl; rather, it appeared to be brine. For our main course, we both chose "Beef Kofta" which consists of: "Beef rolls served with Lebanese Couscous, Refreshing Tomatoes, Cucumber, & Labneh". The beef kofta was very dry. Growing up, I sometimes had Kofta, and it often turned out quite dry. The kofta did have some kick, and the small amount of very tasty labneh helped mute the spiciness. The Lebanese couscous portion was huge. That, too, helped give moisture to the kofta. This was a filling meal, and we ended up taking some home. Weighing the pros and cons, the cons, alas, outweighed the pros for us.
