Sarah is a true stylist. She has a designers point of view. Her cuts are not run-of-the-mill. This place is in a great location and all three barber/stylists are very nice and friendly. They have music videos playing on the TV while you're getting your hair cut, and they offer an array of drinks. My haircut turned out good, nothing to complain about, but I'm still looking for someone who will give me a haircut I love. (Side note: I don't know exactly what I want when I sit down so most stylists don't feel comfortable doing much more than a trim, which is understandable) As I mentioned, they are very fun and friendly. They're a young group of female friends who seem to casually converse about the most taboo of topics. For me, this was a bit off putting (although it maybe wouldn't have been five years ago... I'm getting old) but I can see how from another perspective, this could be a flirty, light hearted environment. As many guys on google said, "it's a lot of fun", I'm just not the ideal demographic for a place like this. Thank you Alyssa Hanson! My new barber for life! I love this barber shop - they have a stocked ice cold fridge with 3-4 different lagunitas beers as well as others, wine, sparky water, sodas and they have snacks too (peanuts, pretzels gummy bears! my favorite). They have online booking on their website which makes it super easy (for me at least) and their pricing is low. I had been cutting my own hair for awile and finally decided enough is enough, time to get a professional fade/proper trim. I scheduled an appointment with Alyssa and I have never had a better experience....ever! She listened to what I wanted and then gave me several options. She did exactly what I had in mind and wanted, it was done to perfection - semetrical side to side, perfect fade, perfect neck line trim and squared off just like I wanted on the sides. She even takes notes after each cut to review on my next visit. I am so glad I found "the shoppe" and Alyssa and can honestly say I will never go anywhere else. read more

This place is the BEST! I have been seeing Alyssa for a couple of years now. From a technical standpoint, I have never had such perfect haircuts and beard line ups until I met her. I'm a little obsessive and go in weekly, but it's totally worth it to always be rocking a fresh fade and beard trim. I have been thinking about writing this review for awhile. About 4 months ago I came in 20 minutes late. My fault for sure as I got the appointment wrong. My issue is how indifferent they were to me. I have been going there for years and this absolutely made no difference. Not to mention how many times over the years I arrived on time and they were ALWAYS running late. Only solution was come back later or book an appointment. I get the solution but again it was the indifference on how they approached me. Perphaps I am being sensitive but I just felt years of being a customer would matter. Guess I was wrong. Never going back. read more

A few weeks ago, I booked an appointment on a Saturday for the following Monday morning at 10 AM, as I had somewhere to be at 11. The only available stylist was Sarah and, as I had never been here before and had no preference, I took it. As I had tried to book an appointment (with a bit more notice, too) months previously and no one was available when I was able to come into town, I was excited to get in so quickly. I was coming from out of town and there was construction along the way, so even though I left early, I was running a few minutes late. I got to the parking lot and my GPS was telling me it was somewhere it clearly wasn't, so I called and Sarah answered. I was very confused, but she went outside and waved me down and we got inside. Someone else is as already getting their hair cut and I walked in to some really interesting conversation. Sarah asked me what I'd like to drink as I sat down and then got right to it. We started talking about all sorts of things and everybody in the room was having a great time. I was getting a hair cut and a beard trim and eventually I brought up that I had somewhere to be at 11. She asked why I didn't tell her and kicked it into overdrive. She got my hair and beard shaped nicely so fast (all while still talking to me), it was insane. She put some product in my hair, gave me directions to where I need to go and how to get there fastest, and I was on my way. I loved this experience and I will be continuing to go here so long we driving to Santa Rosa is an option. I would recommend this shop and Sarah specifically to anyone looking for a fresh cut and a good time. read more

Every stylist here is an A+ choice! Alyssa has been cutting my hair most recently and always listens to whatever I may ask for and offers great tips and advice to keep my look lasting longer and looking better. I never question the work they do and I also really appreciate that Alyssa makes sure I am certain with her next step before doing it. Very laid back and relaxing environment inside. Beverages are offered for clients and having a nice shampoo as part of the haircut is a huge plus that I always enjoy and appreciate.
