I tried to research a lot of reviews on companies to install shutters throughout our entire home and this company has been a win for us! Wade is the nicest guy, it's a family owned business and they gave excellent customer service from the entire time of quote to ordering and install. He even offered and came back over to put up temporary paper shades throughout the house for us since we had just moved in and many of our windows were bare. What I appreciated most is that Wade wants your business but isn't a pushy salesperson unlike another quote that I had from another company, also their prices are reasonable and the finished product looks great. Got 3 large windows done by these guys. Great price and great value. We picked ones with internal mechanicals because we didn't want that louver adjustment bar in the middle or on the side. Love 'em. I don't write many reviews but this one was worth the couple minutes to do so. The entire experience from booking the first appointment to the installation was above and beyond what I expected. Dave was on time, had all of his samples and really knew his stuff. You could tell he takes great pride in his business and was a true professional. He was honest about his competition and never bad mouthed anyone but instead focused on what makes them great and successful. Pricing was very competitive for the high quality they provide. I was told my order would take 3 weeks, it only took two. Wade called to let me know they were able to get my window coverings early and so we booked the install two days later. He couldn't have been nicer. Carlos called me before his arrival, was on time and was quiet as a church mouse. He blew me away with his almost OCD-like insistence the blinds be perfect. There were a couple blemishes on a few of the blinds that he noticed and approached me to tell me they would replace them simply and at no charge. All in all, I could not be happier! We spoke to 3 different vendors looking for shutters for our place, and the Shutter Guys stood out from the other two. The price was on par with the others but I liked their product better (primarily trying to match colors with cabinets). If you are doing shutters, know that since each one is manufactured to your window measurements, there is some waiting involved after you place your order! This is true for all of the vendors we spoke to. It was about a 1 month wait from the time we sent in our deposit after meeting with Dave for measurements. We had to do all of our windows and 1 door. The installation went super smooth. Edgar and Kevin came on time, set up a table outside and were very efficient. One guy started assembling the new shutters, while the other guy took down the old blinds. Then both started installing. They finished in about 3 hours before lunch. After a week of usage, I noticed one hinge was slightly loose, and called Dave and Wade. He arranged for Carlos to come out the very next morning. Again, on time and it was quick adjustment before he went on to his next job in the area. Overall, this was probably the best transaction and upgrade we have done to our home. Very professional, courteous, simple and no gimmicks. No pressure, no delays, and everything as promised. read more

We had the Shutter Guys install shutters throughout out home a few years ago. They were honest, recommended the right shutters for our need and we've been very happy with the quality. We recently needed to have some windows repaired and the Shutter Company came out to remove and reinstall the shutters so the window repairs could be done. I'm sure it was more trouble than it was worth for them, but they were gracious enough to do such a small job, were on time and did a great job reinstalling the shutters. The Shutter Guys are as legit as they come. I had 7 or 8 companies come to my house for a consultation/quote and these guys stood out without another company coming close! Dave made a couple of trips to my house (Eastlake) and fielded numerous calls because I had so many questions. Yesterday Wade and his partner installed the shutters in my house within 2 hours! My place is looking sexy! Their customer service is outstanding! I ended up going with The Shutter Guys because I didn't feel BS'd when talking with them. They didn't beat around the bush. They didn't "humm" and uhhmm" me when I had questions. They knew their stuff. They also gave me the option of having the shutters made overseas for cheaper or made in Long Beach for a little more. I went with Long Beach, and it took half the time to get the shutters than if I had ordered them from overseas. No "Made in China" hanging in my house!! On a side note, I highly suggest not going with Ron Allen window coverings. Besides not being able to follow simple instrustions as to where he should park when he got to my house, he also quoted me an estimate WITHOUT taking a single measurement. He simply looked at my windows and wrote down what he thought the measurements were. Because of this he obviously was not going to get my business. read more

To summarize my story: Bought my house in 09. Found someone off Craigslist to do the entire house for cheaper. Waiting for 2-3 months, then medical issues prevented him from going further, got my refund. I found The Shutter Guys. I emailed them asking for a quote, based on the previous guy's measurements, and got a quick response. They were close to the same price range. The owner came on a convenient Sunday morning. Measured the whole house and gave me options. He said the measurements I gave him were wrong and didn't understand how it was previously measured. Showed me options, gave me pricing, option to pay in cash/check or credit card. Gave me a discount if I paid in cash/check...which I did. It was some odd amount and he just rounded down to the nearest $10 (showed me he didn't nickel and dime). 3 weeks later, came and installed a day during the week and my home looked amazing!! He is pretty friendly, did a great job and was efficient in giving me updates. My mother in law was there during the install time and she pointed out something that they had missed (I'm thinking maybe the little things they put on to cover where the screws are). I don't know if they didn't get to it yet or she was just hovering and watching so, I don't really know about that for sure. Anyway, I would recommend them. Their pricing is pretty. I know they're not the cheapest nor are they the most expensive but, based on the quality and customer service, they're very well worth it. I didn't get anything else so I can't judge on that. Even though the job is not completely finished, I am able to write a review on the shutter guys. They are simply fantastic. They are great at communicating with the customers throughout the process. Dave did very accurate measurement. The price is competitive. Seth came to install the temporary shades, which fitted very well and are very nice looking too (felt bad to take them down). Wade and Seth did the installation in one day, more than 40 windows. Super efficient and super careful not to leave any damage to the floor and everything. One shutter frame was damaged during transport and they will make one at Long Beach within 2-3 weeks. We are very happy that we went with the Shutter Guys. Will update again when the job is completely finished. Update: Over 1 year later, everything is still good and happy that we went with the Shutter Guys.
