Look no further THIS is your Shutter or Blinds company! From the very first meeting with Dave we knew we picked the right company to install new blinds for our home. The process took about 3 weeks since the blinds were custom and they turned out amazing. Wade scheduled our install and when Carlo and Edgar showed up they were on time and were such a pleasure to work with. Wade initially told me it would take an hour and half to two hours and Carlo and Edgar were efficient and it only took them about 1 hour! They even offered to remove some old railings we had and they cleaned up after they were done. Their customer service went above and beyond when I had other workers doing things on my roof and I couldn't get their attention. We love the shutters they installed for us! We added new shutters on our front bay window. The first visit, they measured the windows and discussed the kind of shutters we wanted. Their estimate was provided quickly after their initial visit. Our shutters took about 6 weeks to make and ship; once they arrived, The Shutter Guys came and installed them the next day. The shutters are absolutely beautiful; the installation was perfect, and our vinyl bay windows look like they were built with the shutters on them. It was a breeze working with The Shutter Guys from beginning to end! Dave came out to meet us a couple of times to show us the samples, measure the windows and doors, make recommendations and answer our questions. He even came back to double check his measurements on all of the windows and doors to have shutters installed. We selected hybrid wood shutters and had to leave a 50% deposit so they could custom order the shutters. When they were ready, we received a call from Wade to arrange the installation appointment, and then on the day of installation, we received a 30minute advance notice call that the crew is on its way. The crew was very courteous, professional and thoughtful. They wore booties throughout the house. We are so pleased with the look and function of all of the hybrid wood shutters on all of our windows and French doors. We love that the louvers can be split so we don't have to open all of the shutters at the same time, thus maintaining privacy while allowing light to enter. Here's the executive summary: we are 100% satisfied with our entire experience with The Shutter Guys. Our initial interface with Dave, the owner, his meticulous measuring, his low-key sales approach, the price, his second round of measuring to make sure that everything would be perfect, the shutters we received, and the installation from Dave's two installers - all excellent. We learned there's a reason why this company consistently receives five stars while others have less: they deserve it. Absolutely no question about it. Details: we have a very large window (9'H x 8'W, with a 4 1/2" inset, and an arch on the top) that needed shutters. Another company did their best to do the job, but their final product was simply unacceptable, and was removed. We searched for another company, and found The Shutter Guys. To put it mildly, we were blown away by the finished product. A perfect custom fit (see the photos). The shutters in each shutter assembly (nine total) move as if they're made with ball bearings. Each door (three, with three shutter assemblies on each door) opens and closes perfectly, with no scraping against the sides - none. The shutters are perfectly aligned over a 9' x 8' area. And what I expected would take maybe six hours or more to install? One hour. And the installers weren't even rushed. Dave's two young installers, Carlo and Edgar, were consummate professionals. Clean, friendly, professional, and exceptional in their installation methods. They don't make mistakes, and seem to follow the "measure twice, cut once" rule. One caveat: as a few others have stated, once Dave (or son-in-law Wade) measures and takes your order, it takes six weeks to get the shutters. They come from China. So if you've got to have shutters tomorrow, you'll have to go with someone else. If you want simply excellent shutters, go with The Shutter Guys. I'd wager to say that they will prove to be one of the best contractors you've ever worked with, and I've worked with dozens. Good chance they'll be the best - don't be surprised. HIGHLY recommended! I had been putting off buying new shutters for a while because I expected the whole experience to be a hassle and end up overpaying. Luckily, Wade spared me the headache and made buying new shutters really easy. He is very knowledgeable and a true professional, and it shows in their work! I had a dog destroy the shutters in one bedroom, and finding replacements that looked similar without breaking the bank seemed hopeless. Wade came out and worked his magic and the new shutters look the exact same color like they'd never been replaced. I had several estimates taken for my shutters with other competitors on Yelp. The price points were ballpark but I went with the Shutter Guys not because they were the cheapest, but because from start to finish they have earned my business. I liked our estimator, Chris, from the start. He was on time, friendly and we communicated well via email to come up with a game plan that suit my vision and my budget. I ended up not just getting shutters all-around but day/night shades too. Something I would have never thought would work. His suggestion to honor the space of the rooms and keep the views balanced; not too heavy for a small areas, and not too light in the bedroom, for example, was exactly what I needed to hear. Estimate to install took 12 weeks which all other competitor's estimates indicated, however, can I tell you, no one but the Shutter Guys offered temporary shades that they will hang for you, FOR FREE, just so your windows aren't naked in your new build! I was so grateful that I didn't have to DIY that part myself and Chris, well, he even came back after our estimate appointment to hang these himself, so I could keep to schedule with my move-in which was a month later. On installation day, today, Wade and Carlos arrived on-time; they explained what, how and how long things would take; asked and never assumed the flow of installation so as to be the least disruptive; and they were very neat about everything. They even wore [new] shoe booties and [new] masks which a lot of vendors nowadays don't. More professionalism, thank you. And, not only did Shutter Guys NOT install one of the shutters which I was hesitant about -- the one over the kitchen sink -- but Wade and his team are going out of their way to make sure my project is done perfect by offering me a shade to cover this area instead,. for a minimal cost. Great service and good quality Hunter Douglas shutters. The delivery was 2 weeks. When they arrived it only took the guys 15 minutes to install the shutters. The sales guy and the installers were friendly and professional. I docked them a star because I was thinking about buying more shutters but their quote was much higher than the shutters they already installed.
