Unfortunately, I am one of those people who likes coffee but is sensitive to caffeine. So if you are a "normal" person who drinks regular coffee you can add 3-stars to my rating. They DON'T HAVE DECAFFEINATED COFFEE. Many of the new fancy coffee shops do not have decaffeinated coffee. At least at places like Arwa Yemeni Coffee in Irving, they tell you. I stopped here after wanting to try this coffee shop for sometime after driving past it all the time. I went through their drive-through and the seasonal items are out of date as well as it's very hard to read. I ordered a mocha and it took about 10 minutes for me to get it which was odd because I was the only person in line and it did not look like there was a lot of people. Since I was last here, they changed where you order in the drive thru which is now at the window. I was greeted by Anna who was friendly and quick with my order. I ordered from their fall seasonal drink menu. The apple chai (medium sized) and their sausage and cheese kolache. Two things to keep in mind are some of the prices on the drive thru menu may be wrong so you should confirm at the window. Also if you pay with card it's a couple of dollars more than if you pay with cash. The apple chai was delicious and overly sweet. Though the drink was good, all you can taste is the apple no chai. I'm sure this place is the right setting for a certain crowd and clearly that crowd is happily reviewing this place well. I would warn anyone under 40 that wishes to come here, you will be the youngest in the room. If you expect accuracy of order or quality coffee you will be disappointed. Expect to pay a surprisingly high price for exceptionally underwhelming coffee (I believe part of the proceeds do go to charity so kudos to the business on that.) The place from the outside isn't really inviting...the color and font of the coffee house isn't inviting either..honestly it looks like a power point font and for that reason I avoided it. Until today and needing to kill some time I visited. The parking lot has a lot of spaces available, staff is very friendly and the interior actually has a lot of open seating. A solid menu, social consciousness, and plenty of space offset an atmosphere that suffers from some lack of investment ladning me at a soft four stars for Axiom. Axiom is the closest coffee shop to our home and somehow it's taken us nearly a year to try it out! My other half studies at Summer Moon sometimes, which is always busy. Her first reaction to Axiom was how much space there is and on a Saturday plenty of it was available. The dining space is split into to two rooms, the front having mostly tables, the rear having a darker wood decor with an executive office feel and a meeting space surrounded by a wood divider. We enjoyed our coffee drinks. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were quite good. The decor feels recycled or donated maybe. Every chair in the both rooms had rivets. And the bookcases were heavily scratched on the sides, like they'd been donated. Perhaps they were. The story of the owners included a focus on giving back, which we liked. If you need a well-developed concept with lots of marketing swag, Axiom might disappoint. If you want to avoid Covid-unfriendly busyness and support a local business, I'd recommend Axiom. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon this cafe and I'm glad we did. The place offers a variety of drinks, food, and a nice atmosphere to enjoy what you order. The staff is nice and very welcoming and helpful when it comes to ordering. I ordered a hot chai latte but asked if I can add a few pumps of matcha and they delivered! The drink was absolutely tasty and asked for another drink for the road. We also ordered the Turkey sand which was filling, a kolache to warm us up, and a lemon square to wrap up the experience. As soon as I walked into this cute little place, they had Christian lo-fi playing & it made me feel so comfortable there! It was fun knowing all of the songs lol. The prices are *really* reasonable, but they don't list how many oz are in a small, medium, or large. Most "smalls" are typically 12oz, but I think this one's definitely only 8. It was a lavender cold brew & it wasn't bad, but I wish the lavender mixed in a little better with the cold brew taste. I've been coming to Axiom for about 3 years now. I've tried other coffee shops, and purchase the occasional Starbucks, but always find myself back at Axiom. The coffee is good, and the service is always fast and friendly, but I really enjoy the atmosphere, whether doing work, or a personal project. In fact, I'm writing this review as I sit at Axiom right now! There's plenty of room, so it never feels cramped, or tough to get a table, and there are plenty of outlets to keep my devices charged. The front room can get a little loud when a couple groups are talking at once, but the back room is very comfortable and much quieter. I will say though, there has been the occasion when a group meets at the large conference table in the back room that it too gets a bit loud. If I had one criticism, it would be to dampen the sound some, as it does bounce around if multiple groups are talking. Hot or cold, I enjoy their coffee products, and make use of their drive-through when I don't have time to stay. Their food items are also good. I've had a pastry or kolache a time or two, and liked each item I've had. The also offer water, juice and chips, if you don't want a coffee, or need a salty snack to re-energize. This is a good place for large groups to meet. I had a mocha and it was waaaay sweet. It's always my drink anywhere I go but I actually couldn't drink almost the entire bottom half of the drink because of the sweetness. The actual coffee was good though so next time I can just get less chocolate and it'll be perfect. The price was awesome! I feel like most places are raising them, this place has made a conscious effort to keep it reasonable. Friendly staff. Oh and I love how early they open! Huge plus.
