I used to love coming to Sally's to find bargains whether it was clothes or household goods. But I…read moream disappointed to see that they keep changing their policies to make it more restrictive. They used to have a reward card that gave you a discount after 10 punches, they took that away about a year ago. They have not reopened their dressing rooms since they reopened after the covid scarce. I get why they were closed initially, but there's no reason to have them closed now. I was there today and their newest policy is they have no exchanges or returns at all. So you can't try clothes on, but you also can't return it if it doesn't fit. That's just a no go for me. I feel like this has to hurt their business. As an organization whose goal is to provide funding for others and to also sell things at a discounted rate it feels like they're making huge mistakes in their policies.

My mother will buy nice evening dresses from here for some special occasions, especially if she needs something that has a specific dress requirement. My mother likes that some of the fashion is more current and not so outdated. We even managed to find a dress for my niece when she came in town for a weekend. She didn't have anything to wear for an afternoon tea party and we were able to find some thing for her at a reasonable price. My mom prefers to go to this resale shop as opposed to other shops, since they have nicer and more fashionable items than most resale shops. It seems that they're more selective about the clothing that goes to this location as opposed to others. Given that my mother has several items of clothing from her wardrobe from here, I can appreciate that they do take more care about what they put on the floor here. Sensible styling seems to be the focus. My mother is a happy customer.

Last summer, my now-fiance and I were looking around to purchase an engagement ring for myself. We…read morewent to Brilliant Earth, in Birmingham, which had a lot of nice rings; however, when I emailed them follow-up questions, they didn't respond for over a week (apparently my email ended up in the sales lady's spam inbox ...). During that time, I found Metals in Time online, and stopped by the showroom. I worked with Emma to choose a ring for myself and also a middle stone. Sergio, the owner, was very helpful as well, and had me try on multiple rings. The one I liked was shaped differently then I preferred, so he customized the ring for me. For a 1-kt. (lab diamond) ring plus the matching wedding band, he offered us a very reasonable price. We liked Metals in Time so much that we had my fiance's custom wedding ring designed there too. He thought he wanted white gold, until he tried on a platinum ring and preferred the heaviness of that one more. He wanted a ring with lab diamonds and lab emeralds, and he brought Sergio a picture of a similar one online he liked. Sergio was able to design it to his specifications, and gave me a pretty good price on it, as well; I know platinum rings can sometimes be expensive. The best part is that Metals in Time is always reachable via text - we go in every six months to get our rings cleaned, as part of their warranty (the smaller stones are under warranty, as long as you stop by every six months), and I always text beforehand to ensure that the store will be open. Highly recommend this store if you are looking to purchase engagement or wedding jewelry. They also have a nice selection of watches and other jewelry, I've noticed.

Botched Watch Repair & Terrible Customer Service: TL/DR find…read morea different store if you are looking to have your watch repaired. In April I dropped my watch off here for repairs; the watch was running slow and the crown needed replacing. I was told that it would be ready in 3-4 weeks, which would allow me to retrieve my watch before I move out-of-state in June. However, the repair took longer than expected due to parts sourcing. While this was an understandable delay, I was not informed of any delays or repair updates; I had to continuously text and call the store asking for an ETA for the watch to be repaired. When I finally received the watch in July (two months after I had been told it would be ready), the watch was in a worse state than when I had dropped it off: the chronometer is offset by 2-3 seconds, the lower hand has fallen off of the face, and the self-winding mechanism is making scratching noises inside that watch that were not previously present. As I now live in Tennessee I contacted the store to ask for a refund: they refused without seeing the product (which I am unable to hand deliver and do not feel comfortable mailing them due to their poor customer service and botched previous repair) and told me "you have a warranty for this". For context, I've had this watch repaired multiple times over the years due to damage received while deployed or on exercise with the Marines; this is hands down the worst experience I've had with a repair shop.

The owner seemed very professional at the time and we talked for several minutes about fashion. She loved my items and took an inventory but told me her computers were down so that she would provide me with my receipt at a later time. I never received it. Back in March I tried calling her to see if any of my items had sold. No answer. I repeated the calls several times and the phone would ring and then immediately disconnect. I tried contacting her on social media which failed. I tried emailing her and did receive a response that her store was closed recently due to power outages. I told her that was fine and that I just wanted to see if any items sold. She wrote back and told me due to power outages and her internet being down, she would not be able to tell me if anything sold. I wrote back a few weeks later (figured that would have given DTE and Comcast plenty of time to get her power and internet up) She wrote back and told me some items sold and that she would look it up saturday. I have never heard back from this woman. Time and time again, i have to constantly be the one to initiate contact, meanwhile she has over $7000 worth of my clothing. I have not been paid, my items are still with her and she has ceased contact with me. Its all very confusing. I will now have to make an attempt to drive there and see if I can meet with her in person. I would hesitate consigning clothes with this business. It has been extremely frustrating and worrisome having my designer clothing in someone elses hands and not being able to do anything about it and not being paid for items that may have sold.
