Hubby and I had a wonderful experience at The Side Rail yesterday. From the time we walked in from the sidewalk, you could smell the delicious aroma of grilled burgers and other good food and we were not disappointed when we got our burgers and sides. Service was very friendly and prompt. The Grueben Burger was delicious! The burger with everything, equally delicious. The calico beans and the sidewinder fries, everything just came together. The atmosphere was festive with good music, and even though we live a couple hundred miles away in Michigan, we would definitely return and recommend a visit here! read more

Second time here but not as good as the first. Service was excellent; however, I asked for the fried egg on the PBJ Burger to have the yolk busted and cooked throughout. I did this as I have a slight egg allergy and cannot eat an egg Sunny side up. I was then informed that the cook would not make it that way. So, in other words "who cares what the customer wants" is the impression we received. I can ask for a specific doneness of the burger, but not the egg??!! WTH!!! I ended up just ordering a salad instead. Maybe I am being pretty, but I was raised that the customer is always right and that you do what the customer wants. I wasn't asking the cook to do anything that couldn't be done, since they did it before. I don't like saying this, but it will be a long time before we return, if at all. read more

Certain staff are very rude, we waited for almost 20 min for a table which we were ok with, but we weren't ok with them setting a group of their friends ahead of everyone , we thought maybe they reserved a table until the server apologized after we got sat down and told us they do that quite often when their friends come in, other than that for was good, a little over priced for Wapak read more

Wow! I can say enough good things about this place! The atmosphere, service, and food were astounding!!

DESPICABLE SERVICE! Absolutely disgusting. Made a reservation for a funeral party at 7, and arrived and was told it would be another HOUR - hour and a half wait. When we talked to the Owner, Lindsey, she told us our reservation "meant nothing" and then walked away in the MIDDLE of our discussion. She then told her staff to cancel our reservation on account of us "being rude", but did not tell us she canceled it. Brianna, head waitress, spoke extremely condescending and did nothing but laugh in our face and call us names. Speaking as both a head cook and kitchen manager, this is the most unprofessionally run restaurant I have EVER step foot in. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Do not support this business. Unprofessional and despicable. read more

Every business has the freedom to close for vacation, but please update your hours. I made a special trip to try The Side Rail for the first time and a sign on the door said you were closed. Very unprofessional. read more

Small place but pretty quick service. Good is decent. Nice bar atmosphere but also ok for family. Several good/unique beers on tap.

Incredible restaurant! Super kind staff with a very minimal wait time on drinks and food. And don't even get me started on how incredible the food is! The pretzel sticks with beer cheese and the spinach feta burger is ALWAYS my go to. This place has quickly become a favorite of mine. This place rocks, our party of four had an exceptional experience at Side Rail. Service was outstanding, our server Ben was just super. The food was terrific, all four meals were spot on, made exceptionally perfect. The mac and cheese was amazing, tasty and full of cheese. Baked just right with a nice crust on top. Visited today with a party of 6. Seated promptly but asked to be outside with a response "not enough staff" as I am in the business myself understand but.... graciously sat at a table. Our waitress was very rude. We tried asking questions on beer selections and was very rudley told to just look at the table tent. She was very not into working for her tip because she knew that in party of 6 she recieved a 20 percent gratitude regardless. Very bad experience. Won't be coming back. read more

I'm became a regular here at the side rail and to be honest there's nothing like this place in wapak or anywhere around Ohio. The service is always amazing and the food matches it. The burger is always done perfectly with the best bacon burger I've ever had. There wings also don't not disappoint. If you live in wapak or are passing by and haven't tried The side rail you are simply missing out. read more
