    Happy hour hummus
    Greg W.

Popped in before meeting some friends for a quick beer and appetizer. The atmosphere is great and the staff was fantastic! It's a pretty cozy spot and fills up quick so finding a spot can be tricky in busier times. They're an offshoot of Town Hall brewing so the beer was solid as always. The happy hour hummus app was fantastic! They gave a ton of it and refilled our pita when it was clear the ratio of bread/dip is way off. That's my only gripe, really. I'd definitely come back any time for a drink and snacks with friends after work. Really, any time a full sit-down experience next door isn't your jam at the moment.

The perfect date night, happy hour, or night out (for a small group). This place is small, but cozy. Their drinks are delicious, my favorite is the Bee's Knees. The food menu is limited, but everything is tasty! Highly recommend the French fries and the Tennessee chicken slider. Could probably pass on the Caesar salad next time (nothing special). The service is average, the staff seem busy but it's not terrible. They don't have a patio, but their sister restaurant Town Hall Tap, right next door, does. They also have a larger food menu. Sidecar is the place to go when you want drinks, apps, and good vibes :)

Nice bar in the area open for happy hour and for drinks. Was visiting and met up with a friend for dinner. We went here during happy hour before our dinner reservations and got a round of drinks and fries. They have a wide variety drinks and options, a honey menu and all of the classics. I enjoyed their Espressotini, Positive effect, and their hot toddy. Nice little bar and I really enjoyed the music they played. The bathroom lights are pretty bright. There's some street parking and some lots nearby.

PSA: @thesidecarmpls is the hidden gem MPLS has been sleeping on! this cozy neighborhood speakeasy is serving up craft cocktails that don't miss, Minnesota-nice service, FILLING shareable bites & EASY street parking (!!!) PLUS, you won't need to break the bank to enjoy it. Reasonable prices = more to order for LESS. the charcuterie board is a must-order, same with the espresso martini.

Drink menu had a lot of crafted cocktails. I can't wait to try more! Went on a Tuesday night and there was plenty of spots to sit at the bar. Service was quick. Ordered the classic bees knees which was great. On the seasonal menu, ordered Venus as a boy which was tasty. The blueberry beret was also good but a bit on the strong side.

This was such a fun spot to stop into. Pictures to show little bits on the ambiance. Perfect spot for a little happy hour. I didn't see a food menu but it looked like there were some options based on people eating around us.

Stopped by here for a late night drink and apps. It was a beautiful night and open air dining room felt good. The server was very courteous and let us know that their kitchen was closing soon. He sat us and requested that we sit inside as they were closing the outside. We ordered some drinks and the fried pickle and cheese curds. The drinks were good and they have a eclectic selection of beers too. The fried pickles were very good and even though these were no state fair cheese curds, they were still tasty. A good place to get some drinks and hang out in a relaxing and casual environment. This second time here won't be my last. Especially when you have the parkway theater right next door.

Cute but small place. A group of us came out for happy hour and sat in the back and narrow area of the bar. Drinks were yummy, but by the time the 6th person came (a few more on the way), they asked us to move to the restaurant next door (Townhall Tap). I took away one star because they were not as friendly when they asked us to move.

Beautiful dimly lit setting with background music; speakeasy feel. Classy speakeasy drinks on the menu plus a plenty of unique ones. Rotating sours and barrel aged beer: service was decent. No complaints. They do have a small menu which I posted a picture of.

We had a great time at trivia last night! This is our second time attending trivia here and the host is phenomenal! The menu consists of upscale style cocktails that have a lot of great diversity in flavors and spirits. The drink list is very reavive and has many things I haven't tried before which is exciting as someone who frequents cocktail bars. I tried their version of a hot daddy which included a jalapeño element as well which was fun. I'm a huge spice fan so I liked the drink but if you are spice sensitive this one is definitely not for you. My partner tried their martini as well and enjoyed. The ambiance is cute and bougie with a slight romantic feel. There is booths, tables, and bar seating available. We additionally tried their chicken sliders with fries this time. We've had their Brie cheese curds in the past and loved them as well. The sliders were good but the fries were an up charge of $4 for super underwhelming/average fries. For that much of an up charge you would expect them to be better or get a lot of them, and the fry portion was slightly under average if anything. Additionally, service was near painfully slow and inattentive despite the place being more than half empty. There were only a total for 4 trivia teams and a maybe two tables and the two bartenders didn't often circle, check in with people, and seem to be very interested with engaging with the clientele. We had to wave to get someone's attention to order food, we would've ordered dessert but no one ever checked in or offered. Additionally, no one asked how our drinks or the food was. Maybe I'm just sensitive as a server but I was super underwhelmed. Additionally, when we arrived they invited us to choose a table we wanted - we chose, and then they clarified that the table was fine for tonight but usually they didn't allow couples at their booths. Once again, totally fine, but don't ask me to choose and then dislike my choice. It's much simpler to just guide clients to where you'd like them to sit or address the issue of how many are required in a party to sit at a certain table only on nights when it requires it otherwise it just read as slightly awkward (once again - majority empty venue). We'll probably return for the trivia because the host was so great but the service was just meh. Drinks are fun though!!

Such a fun spot for a date or drinks with friends! It's a small, chill cocktail bar with cozy booths and high top seating. Only came here for drinks tonight, however they also have a small menu of food to order from as well. Both drinks we tried were strong yet delicious! The music here was louder than most restaurants/bars but I appreciated not being able to hear the conversations at the tables next to you and enjoyed the variety of music they played. If you come here be prepared to parallel park because there's only street parking - it's free parking though.

They described it as an upscale dive bar which I laughed at for sure, but when I went I would say that exactly how I would describe it. It's dark and moody, but very funky and hip with the neon walls and lights. It's very small, behind the new Public Domain space. Seems like the hostesses direct people waiting on a spot there to Neon Tiger while they wait. We were able to snag one of the last tables after we ordered (there are about 5 tables for 2, and 3 standing bar tables from what I remember). The menu isn't large - it has a couple of beers, some basic cocktails and lists spirits and mixers. The only new and exciting thing on the menu is their slushy cocktails. Good news is that this place isn't very pricey, but the portions aren't huge. My small espresso martini was $12, my boyfriend's beer didn't quite look like a full pint but was only $4. We did laugh that it was called Tiger piss. The espresso martini is good, but beware there's no actual cream liquor in the drink - they seem to squirt some foamy concoction from an unmarked squeeze bottle in a fridge on top, which was interesting. Overall, would come back here if I was bar hopping for cocktails - but wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. Great idea to send people here while waiting for Public Domain!

The service was appropriately lowkey and prompt. Their food might seem a bit expensive, but their portions are generous. This makes the burger really chewy and you really can't taste the beef anymore like you used to when it was thicker. I would take this as it's not as good as it used to be. It is not as good as the original hype from the beginning. In conclusion, I do not think it's worth the $19. I rather get a cheesesteak for $16 at Tono's which comes with fresh not burnt fries rather than come back here and get a burger here. It's highly unlikely I will be back here. I honestly feel like the burgers have gone way WAY downhill. The fries here have gotten terrible so I stopped getting the fries a long time ago. They are not soft crisp like they used to be. They are too golden brown color, almost like burnt hard fries. I never like to eat down here. I normally would order the Parlour burger upstairs. The basement part which is Parlour has a weird smell like a locker room smell so that's why I don't like to eat down here.

Located inside the Foshay Tower, there's street and valet parking available! We entered through the W hotel lobby and took the elevator up to the 27th floor! We were met by a fun, retro-inspired lounge with many couches and tables available in a 360-degree set up. It has Prohibition-themed decor, but I wouldn't quite call it a speakeasy, as there wasn't any guise to entering or accessing the space. My only critique is that the space is quite dated, but not in a cool way. It could really use an update to the paint and interior to maintain itself as a "destination" versus just another hotel bar with a view. The bartenders were quite friendly and helpful during our visit. We had an Old Fashioned and a Paper Plane during our visit! Both cocktails were absolutely delicious and perfectly made.
