I've had very good experience in this place previously and when they advertised their Seafood thali, I was excited. The listed items and the photo posted was so enticing. Food - far from it. The thali didn't have anchovy, no crab soup, no roasted shrimp as listed. There was 'fish peera' which was 90% fish bones. The oil that was used was stale for the curry and it tasted so bad. The fried pompano was two smaaall tail pieces!! The price was $25.00. The whole presentation was possibly worth $5 or less. Disappointed? That's not the word.. much worse than that. I'll post one photo which explains what I am saying. The small container with the fish fry tells it all

Went back, ordered same dish, it was exact same, tasted amazing. The young ladies that work there are top notch. They keep your drink full before half gone. They clear plates when needed, it's like being in a 3 Michellen star restaurant. The place is clean enough to let your baby play on the floor or walls. Lol I'm going back every chance i get as long as they keep up the greatness

Silk Road is a exciting new restaurant serving Indian cuisine, specializing in the soulful curries and traditional dishes from Kerala, India. While the metroplex offers plenty of North Indian fare and solid representation from Andhra and Tamil Nadu, truly authentic Kerala cooking remains a rarity and Silk Road fills that finger licking gap. The service is good and very attentive, the ambiance relaxed and casual. Kerala, often called the Venice of India for its lush backwaters, is celebrated for coconut-based curries and a bold yet balanced use of locally grown spices like black pepper and cardamom. The items on the menu cover the wide variety of meats, seafood, and spice, offering For anyone who loves Indian cuisine and wants to explore its lesser known, richly layered traditional Kerala food scene, Silk road will be a good experience.

It was my first time trying Silk Road and I ordered takeout after a busy week. I wanted to try the chicken curry after seeing so many positive comments about it and it indeed was tasty. Also ordered the saag paneer and the flavor was good but what stood out were the large chunks of paneer. I also tried the parotta which I had never had. It was buttery and rich. I will probably stick with naan next time but it was good to try. Finally the samosas. They were tasty but were a bit greasy and I felt that the chutneys were both a little watered down. Not bad by any means though. A solid Indian option for Coppell.

This was my second time at Silk Road. The first time I came for dinner, and the second time for lunch. Both times were good. The lunch special is solid if you enjoy biryani, since they won't do any substitutions. You get a side of vegetables or soup, pakora (which could use some chaat masala on it), an entrée, biryani, butter or plain naan, raita, and a sweet dish. I'm not a rice person, and they give a large amount. The paneer makhani was flavorful both times. Service was good and ambience is nice

Silk Road is a such a unique find. It specializes in Kerala style food which originated from southern most state of India. The food is simply delicious. The prices are little steep but the quantity and quality makes it worth it. I love their Kottayam curry which goes well with Kappa or rice The parotta is freshly made and so flakey. The food is fresh and made to order. The service is excellent, our server was attentive and friendly. The ambiance is great for a quote dinner on Friday night.

I have come back for the second weekend in a row because of how much I like the food and ambience. The Silk Road of history was a thing of legends and this restaurant does a good job of reminding us of how globalization changed and keeps changing the food we eat. They need better signage over their entrance since it looks like an entrance for the HotWorx next door. The chicken biryani is the best biryani I have had in Dallas since i moved here from LA last year. I highly recommend Silk Road as a worthwhile restaurant to enjoy with your loved ones.

The Food was wonderful. The beat Indian food I have had. The paintings on the wall are gorgeous to look at as well

This is what you get with the *Lamb Seekh Kebab (GF), over cooked and not many pieces. Enjoyed the Manchurian chicken, but very disappointed with the kebab.

Love the food. I do travel a lot and love good food. By far the best Kerala sit down restaurant in the US. Great ambience, location, very well maintained. They do have a great spread between North and South Indian Cusine. Caters to most pallet.. Love it...

They do let you know that there is an automatic 20% tip added to your tab up front, which you can add too if checking out using the link they text you. The special thing is they have a wall where you pick your own beer, cider and wine(?) that you activate with your wristband and are charged per ounce. I love the drink concept because it allows for folks to try a little bit of various options ... which they do have a number of local options on their wall. This is what I would return for, and bring friends to tet before we end up at another activity. Food wise: got a smash burger which came with fries, which if I order it again I'd probably change cheeses and ask for some pepper to season the fries a bit more ... all personal preferences... but was ok for something to eat to off set the two drinks I had while there. I also got some tacos to go for my husband. Again personal preference, he would have liked more seasoning/spice on the actual meat of the taco vs being as reliant on the salsa. So, on our next visit we might just stick with shareables/apps with our drinks.

I also tried the margarita and Paloma. Very good. The burgers were really good and the truffle fries delicious. I really wanted to try the steak so will be back on Tuesday , that's when they put it on the menu. They have activities like trivia and a nice patio with games, plenty of parking and the place was very clean. Staff super attentive! I would give them 9/10 the only reason I am not giving a 10 is , you're obligated to pay 20% tip and it's automatically included. Is basically a self service place, tip should be at your own discretion.

The restaurant is large with a nice bar area and the service was very friendly and efficient! Apps: Chili Momos (Veg) and Gobi Manchurian - the momos were super crispy and the sauce was very spicy in a good way! The Manchurian was so saucy and packed with flavor. Recommend both! Mains: Himalayan Thukpa, Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta - the Thukpa was the highlight! The broth was perfectly salty with a great umami taste. The Malai Kofta was rich and I enjoyed the cheesy koftas. The Palak Paneer was tasty, but I enjoyed the malai and thukpa more! Dessert: Pistachio Cheesecake - delicious! More like a pistachio ice cream cake, but it was so good and not too sweet! Overall, we really enjoyed our meal! Will absolutely be back!
