I received a 3-month pass to Hand and Stone Massage as a Valentine's Day gift, and my experience…read morehas been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. It's been a series of issues from the start, and I can confidently say I will never return. First, when I tried to schedule my first massage, the soonest appointment I could get was nearly a month out. I finally secured one for March 11th, only to have it cancelled last minute because the employee assigned to me had to leave early that day. After waiting almost a month for this, I still didn't get the service. The next available appointment was days later, but unfortunately, I was working and couldn't take it. This wasn't the first time I've encountered issues either--back in October, I received a birthday gift card, scheduled and confirmed my appointment via email and text, and when I arrived, they had no record of it. I had to show the front desk my confirmation just to prove it. As a registered nurse who spends most of her day on her feet, bending, lifting, and walking, I look forward to these moments to take care of my body. But Hand and Stone has made it impossible to do so. I've called multiple times requesting a refund, as I no longer want the pass or any services. I contacted the manager a week ago, but when she returned my call, I was working. I tried to call her back, left a message, and even sent an email--and have received no response. Today, I thought maybe I could finally schedule something and get this over with, but the first available appointment was April 24th. The employee even suggested I drive 45 minutes to their Lancaster location, which is utterly ridiculous. When I asked to speak to the manager again, I was told she was in a meeting and it would be 1-2 days before I heard back. This company has been incredibly inconvenient and unprofessional. I've been to other massage spas in the area, like Elements, Riah Spa, and Inertia, and none of them require booking a month in advance, nor have I ever experienced such poor customer service. At this point, I just want a refund and will never waste my time with Hand and Stone again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I was talked into getting the plasma pen done to make my lip area look smoother and fuller. Carmen knew that my wedding was in eight days, but assured me that everything would be perfect. Three days after the procedure, I noticed what I thought to be a cold sore. I texted Carmen right away, but she never responded. She finally responded once I called her unprofessional, which in turn she called me a jerk!!! (See screenshots and photos). Fast forward to the Thursday before my wedding when she finally texted and asked about my face. It turns out I had a staph infection on my face. I don't want to say that my wedding was completely ruined, but my face was all I thought about. My makeup artist did as well as possible. I asked for my money back but was denied. It was very disappointing and depressing, especially since Carmen referred to me as a friend. But guess what? Friends don't treat each other this way. It took me a couple of months to actually write this review, but it's time for the truth to be told.

Carmen is amazing! Beautiful inside and out. You will feel so refreshed and wonderful after leaving.read more

When we arrived were greeted by a gentleman (unfortunately his name escapes me) who during our entire visit (4 of us with strong personalities) treated us with kid gloves. He immediately took our coats and asked what type of beverage we would like (tea, coffee or wine). Yesss...I'm liking him already. We had to complete some paperwork and was then was escorted to the Zen room. We each sat, drank and chatted away until it was time for our appointments. We all were taken about the same time for our treatments which was good. I went with the deep tissue massage. My masseuse Christine was awesome. She ask me if I had any questions or any areas that she wanted her to work on. I explain my aliments which were my calf's and the heels of my feet from my workout in the gym. Christine worked on those areas and gave me suggestions on things I could do at home to alleviate some of the pain. She spoke only if I had questions which is what I like and was professional and caring. She made it a wonderful experience. Thanks Polish Spa for making me and my girls spa day a start to a relaxing day.

This was my first visit to this salon, and I came because I researched reviews and was excited to get a few services, which I never do for myself. All services were booked through Polished Salon on Phorest. I specifically asked for callus removal before and during my pedicure on my first visit, the young girl who did my pedicure replied " oh yeah! definitely! we've got an hour an a half!" but it was not provided. Instead, I was told to come back the following week, and they ended up doing an entire keratin treatment to remove my calluses. When I asked the front desk staff why the callus removal treatment was not performed during my first visit, the front desk staff replied, "I don't know." I booked a brow lamination service expecting professional results and clear communication, but the service did not turn out as expected. After my appointment, I noticed issues with the lamination and returned to the salon several times in an effort to have it corrected. Throughout the follow-up process, communication was very frustrating. The technician was difficult to reach, and when I contacted the salon with my questions and concerns, I was told she operates as her own separate business and that they could not help with concerns related to her work or clients. Since I booked through the salon, it was disappointing to feel that no one was willing to take responsibility for helping resolve the issue. The experience quickly became overwhelming as this was my FIFTH time back within one week, I was given answers such as "I don't know," and I felt the front desk had essentially told me I was on my own. I specifically asked the front desk staff to help me and provide answers; I never demanded a refund. I also apologized to everyone in the waiting area as I began to have a panic attack. I was sobbing so hard I could barely catch my breath. Another customer at the salon kindly stayed with me outside for about 30 minutes until I calmed down. I also reached out to the salon owner to share my concerns, but instead of feeling heard, I was described as causing a "commotion" and "aggressive," which was hurtful given how respectfully I had tried to address the situation. The technician did eventually refund the cost of the eyebrow service, but only after offering to redo my lamination for the 3rd time in one week (not healthy or safe) multiple return visits and a significant amount of time and effort on my part. During my last visit, she said she had "done a lot of work" on me and explained that my brow lamination was more of a "straightening" of my brow hair. My brows are naturally straight, so this would not have been necessary. I wish that had been discussed before the service or at my first follow-up, not after five visits. If my brows were not a good candidate or the results were expected to be limited, I should have been told upfront. While I appreciate the refund, it did not make up for the repeated trips, poor communication, and emotional distress. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business, and I hope my review helps others make an informed decision before booking.

They were my go to from beginning to end especially when my emotions were a severe wreck as they stated from the beginning after surgery. However, they gave me instructions and I followed them to the T, and I was a success and a happy camper afterwards. Along with my friends that I have referred.. They just need to let me be their poster child. tee,hee The facility, the staff were creme de la creme- they have their own surgery center which was really nice to not have to go else where and wait for your alloted time to be worked on, I know them all from the financial person to the receptionist who is my go to gal as well. All my friends that I have referred ,have felt the same way! I take referring people seriously and I know they are in good hands with these two doctors. Bedside manners are superb. They made me feel at ease on go to day even though I was a nervous wreck as most people are and they helped me out with that regard. I was a happy little camper going in. Will be doing a review more in detailed on real self. PS. when it comes to doctors one must be super selective.

He's truly an artist and the best at what he does. I'm have so much confidence in him that I have referred him to several friends and family. He also has great bedside manner, and his nurse Ashley was amazing as well. Everyone is very upbeat and very personable. I highly recommend Dr. Stratis and his staff. They are all a class act!
