Thankful for Dr. Bellew and NP Karisa Son. I went in for my first body scan ever and Karisa was very thorough with the scan and explained all the spots/moles on my body. One mole in particular was suspicious and Karisa performed a punch biopsy the same day of my exam and removed it. Came back for a follow up visit with Dr. Bellew and he provided me with so much helpful information/knowledge about my mole that was removed and next steps. Staff was nice and the first doctor was nice I REALLY LIKED HER. She explained everything to me and gave suggestions. She was answering all my questions and concerns UNTIL she had an emergency and she was so nice and polite She told me she would be back in 5 minutes and another guy showed up and honestly he looked out of it. I would have loved to wait for the female doctor that helped me. Once again, back to the Skin Doc. My Husband had a melanoma on the top of his head. They were able to get him in within a few day's. It was a pretty serious procedure- but Dr Bellew came through with flying color's. And the biopsy showed he had gotten ALL of the melanoma. All they do is give steroids for eczema. It stopped working for our sons and they gave us stronger steroids. Now my boys are suffering from topical steroid withdrawals. TSW. I wish I knew of this condition prior to giving them steroids. They said these were safe and unfortunately now their "eczema" has spread and is effecting their whole bodies. My PCP referred me to see Dr.Bellew last year because i gotta horrible firing rash on my leg from a jacuzzi my hubby & I rented in Big Bear it was horrible! The first initial visit was with both him & his wife Dr.Son which went great! Then about 6 months later I ended up getting another rash this one was worse!! This one was on my face horrible burning!! This time they called me back to put me in a room & I sat there in the chair & as Dr.Bellew walked in he right away had this demeanor about him. He saw me & started yelling @ me & asking my what I had? Just was hounding me & pointing the finger at me like it was my fault that my face was like that. He made me feel uncomfortable & had horrible bedside manners. I told him I'm not gonna put up with the way he was treating me as I'm crying. He was arguing with me ... he said that he told me to come back in a week & I said no you didn't I haven't been here in a while. I'm assuming he got me mixed up with another patient! He then said you know what I'm not doing this.. says give me a minute & shuts the door. A few minutes later his wife Dr.Son came in & apologized for his actions & gave me some treatment for the rash!! It's been a yr or so & I still can't get over how this Doctor treated me in his office! I will never ever go back! This Dr.Bellew should not have a license if that's how he treats his patients. I'm Thankful to his wife as she has told my husband that he wasn't having a good day. Who knows who else he has done this too. I do not recommend this Dr.Bellew at all! read more

Aside from my initial interaction with Carlos (see below), the skin docs have been nothing but fantastic. Both Dr. Bellew and Dr. Son were so knowledgeable, patient, thorough and kind. The office answers the phone promptly and has great availability to address urgent issues. Thank you guys very much! ------------------------------ Carlos, the office manager, is so condescending and Unempathetic over the phone. Every question I asked, he somehow managed to find a way to say "no." Doesn't matter what your situation was, he did not ask questions to probe, it was just a blanket statement "no." And guess what, he was wrong every time. Called back later and got a different lady. Everything squared away under a minute. Last but not least, he also made a comment that's a little sexist. He said, "oh the ladies from the office will do that." If the ladies from the office can do it, shouldn't he have the same access to do the same thing since he's the office manager?
