5/5 Thomas Dermatology is hands down one of the best medical practices we have ever visited. Our children have been coming here for years for acne and other skin concerns, and every experience has been outstanding. Dr. Keren Weltman is exceptional. She is brilliant, knowledgeable, caring, and an absolute joy to work with. Her patient care is second to none. PA Terry Davis is equally impressive for annual skin cancer screenings and minor blemish removals. He is thorough, professional, and always takes the time to explain everything. The office is spotless, modern, and incredibly well run. Appointments are always on time, quick, and thorough. The front office staff is friendly, organized, and genuinely happy to help. Heidi at checkout is always a pleasure to work with, as is the entire team. I wish every doctor's office operated like Thomas Dermatology. They truly set the standard for outstanding patient care. A very unpleasant experience when trying to get an appointment. Jessa called me impatient because I told her to move on when she was making all sort of excuses as to why she didn't find my referral. She then got pissy and push appointment date to 10/2-5. When I looked at the website, they have appointments as early as 8/21 open. When I asked to speak with the supervisor/office manager, she had me on hold for 7 mins. , come back on the line to tell me the person is busy with another call. 40 mins after, I called again and asked for a supervisor/office manager. I was put back on hold for another 2 minutes. When they came back, i was told the supervisor/office manager is in a meeting and to expect a wall within 24 to 48 hours. Update: so finally got a call from a Jade, a manager. Long story short, justified, excused and was ruder the rep. read more

Had my first visit today with Dr Weltman. She is the 3rd dermatologist I've seen for an ongoing issue and the 1st to actually look at and touch my skin. Terrible experience. My daughter has been a patient here for quite some time and only needed a referral to refill her prescription. When she checked in, her driver's permit had recently expired, but she had a photo of her passport, her college ID, and several other forms of identification to verify who she was. Unfortunately, the office manager, Jade, was extremely rude from the start. She repeatedly spoke over us, refused to listen to what we were trying to explain, and showed no willingness to help or offer any alternatives. Her attitude was unprofessional and lacked even basic customer service. We understand that offices have policies regarding identification, but there is a respectful and professional way to communicate those policies. This experience left us feeling dismissed and disrespected. Based on how we were treated, I would not recommend this office and will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

The 1 star review is purely based on their front office and billing department staff. The doctors are actually quite good - although most of the time you see an assistant which I don't really like. I had mohs surgery and I had to pay upfront as I have a high deductive - no big deal or surprise there. But then when I received my EOB I noticed that I had overpaid by over $600 since they are in network and I should get that discount. I have called and called to try and get my money refunded. The last AI response from them was that it would be in 1-3 business days - that was 2 weeks ago. I keep leaving messages and/or asking for call back and have had zero response. Now involving my insurance company to try and advocate so far they have had the same experience. At this point it seems somewhat fraudulent on their behalf. I do not plan on returning to their offices and will ensure that no one in my family does either. Hopefully they will eventually do the right thing and return the money they owe me. read more

Last resort was to write a Yelp review because at this particular location and pretty much all their locations NO ONE answers the phone or returns voice messages. I believe 6 working days was long enough. Poor patient service especially when the Dr wrote out a script for my foster daughter and somehow the pharmacy has no documentation for it and I need to get ahold of someone because the Dr needs to clarify another script she did actually send over. Might have to cross all Thomas Dermatology offices off my list for my family and any future foster children who come into my home and need services. Time to find a new dermatologist! read more

I was charged a $50 cancellation/no-show fee a to my son's appointment today. We arrived on time and did not cancel. The visit could not proceed only because we were informed at check-in that a new referral was required due to a new insurance card. I received a phone call 1hour prior to appointment alerting me to bring in a new insurance card. This was not a cancellation or no-show, and charging a fee under these circumstances was inappropriate. Additionally, customer service during this visit was extremely poor. I asked if a school note could be provided simply stating that we were present at the office, and this was refused, which was disappointing and unnecessary. read more

I was seen at their southwest Vegas office. The one with the waiting room that looked like it was from 1983 communist Russia. They seem to care more about reviews than providing acceptable customer service. If they did the latter they would not need to work hard on the reviews. Office staff rude and uncaring. Provider who saw me - an actual doctor or PA, who knows - was uncaring, unprofessional, and passively rude. The only part of the experience with their business that was pleasant was with the third party company who booked my appointment. I will not be back. Not recommended. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER. My complaint is simple; they don't return phone calls and follow up with the patient. The staff is nice and they seem to do a good job but their communication is horrendous. Without going into all the details i had a hard time getting the results of my biopsy; they never called me when the results came back and did not return multiple phone calls to them. I finally got my results, which were cancerous, by making an appointment on another matter and getting the results in person. The same thing happened again when I tried to get the Mohs surgery scheduled. This is no way to run a Drs office. read more

First, I'll start by stating that I've received excellent care by Dr. Weltman. The big problem I have with this office is their billing practices. Office staff demanded full payment on an invoice I'd only received a couple weeks prior. I confirmed that I would pay in full within a week. I then received a text message and an email stating they would process payment within 5 days. I am still UNDER the 30 day window of the statement. Scheduled another visit for a cosmetic procedure that was done by Dr. Karen Weltman to correct my ear piercings. Everything went great. What a wonderful bed side manner!! I saw Terry at Thomas Dermatology and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. I came in with several ongoing issues, hoping for real guidance, but the only "solutions" offered were more prescription pills and steroid creams. At no point was I asked about lifestyle, diet, or other factors that could be contributing to my problems. As an aesthetician myself, I ask my own clients more questions than I was ever asked here. I've been dealing with nonstop itching, bruising, random flare-ups, and now even dermatitis on my scalp and arms. My skin doesn't heal properly, and I went in hoping to find answers. Instead, my follow-up appointment lasted barely 13 minutes, and once again, the suggestion was just another cream. The photos I brought to show my skin issues weren't even looked at. It saddens me that the approach here seems to be prescribing more medications rather than addressing the root cause of the problem. I left feeling dismissed and unheard. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for providers who take the time to truly listen and help you find long-term solutions. read more

I went to this clinic four years ago only for one visit and I paid my copay and the doctor said she would freeze something for free and then they charged me 4 years later. i got a text saying I owed money. They claimed they sent me multiple bills but I never got them. They never called me back and forced me to deal with an ai assistant instead who threatened me with collections if I did not pay what they want. it is hell dealing with them. The ai assistant could not even communicate correctly. Beware!!!! read more

My daughter developed alopecia so we went to see Dr Vanessa on a referral from our pediatrician. Appointments were running at about 4 weeks out - which in all honestly isn't too bad for Vegas (my son needed a consultation on getting his tonsils removed last year and that appointment was looking at a 6 month wait just for reference). The staff was nice - always feel like any front office staff at medical offices could be nicer - this one was no exception. They were nice but could have been a little bit nicer. We only waited for about 10 minutes before being called back and our experience went from ok to great. Dr. Vanessa and her assistant were wonderful at making my daughter feel welcome and comfortable as well as me as the nervous mom. Luckily, we might not have to go back with her case not being so severe, but if we have to see a dermatologist again it will definitely be here. read more

Choose carefully when making appointments with Kayla. I have been going to Thomas Dermatology for many years. When I made an appointment at the Centennial location I saw Kayla. My first contact with her could have been more pleasant. Her mannerism left much to be desired. She abruptly asked why I was there and if I wanted to talk about products or procedures. I was shocked as I told the scheduler both when I was making the appointment. Kayla spat out "its either one or the other as I don't have time for both and you don't knowing what you want". I have never been treated with such disrespect. It was so unlike any staff member at Thomas Derm, as everyone is so pleasant. As I was asking questions reluctantly, I had the impression that I was a bother and just wasting her time. I didn't make an appointment with Kim Kardashian but that was the atmosphere. A close family member had a consultation with Dr. Corbett through Thomas Dermatology and had planned a procedure. Suddenly, 30 minutes before the procedure, the office called. We missed the call initially as we were literally stepping out the door on the way to their office. Keep in mind, we had confirmed the procedure multiple times, placed a deposit, and had every reason to believe the appointment would take place as planned. We called back and it took 10 minutes to finally reach someone, only to be told that Dr. Corbett would be out of the office for the entire month of July. Although this appointment was on 06/27, they unexpectedly wanted to reschedule it to August. There was no explanation of why this was not known earlier and no apology was offered. We cancelled the appointment altogether and called back to express our dissatisfaction with how unprofessional and unethical this was. The medical assistant then stated she was ending the call. Not only had we taken time off from work and stopped certain supplements, but this situation also reflects very poorly on their value of patients. I strongly recommend you go elsewhere. read more

I recently switched back to this location from Henderson. I really love this office. Check in was quick and efficient. Office staff were friendly. I am seen regularly d/t my history of melanoma. I always get super nervous before a skin check. My provider, Dr. Weltman, ran on time and still managed to take the time to throughly inspect my skin. She asked me about my history and seemed genuinely concerned if I had concerns. She definitely made the experience more enjoyable which totally calmed my nerves. I highly recommend her and am a huge advocate for getting your skin checked by a dermatologist, as they have saved my life on more than one occasion! Thank you Dr. Weltman! read more

Horrible customer service!!! It has been two weeks since an appointment that resulted in a prescription. My insurance provider is waiting for information from Thomas Dermatology so they can fill that prescription. I called (again) today and was told that their policy is they have FOUR WEEKS to process the prescriptions. And, that I was in a queue, and that they would process it when my turn came up. That I am in agony does not matter. They will do anything to speed the process. I have never experienced such an uncaring attitude from any medical provider I have ever used.
