I wanted to give a review because many of us ladies look for a place that can really enhance our skin and facial structure as well as dermatology. I had a facial with the aesthetician there that was recommended by Trish the nurse that works with the doctor on fillers, etc. She did an outstanding job at a Hydro facial for me and as the week went by my skin started to glow again. Went for an annual mole check that was covered by insurance. The Dr was very thorough and made me feel comfortable even though I was in a bra and underwear. I had a couple of moles that I was thinking about removing and he was honest about the process and did not try to upsell me. He said that the scar will be 3X the size of the mole and if it's not bothering me and hasn't changed then there is no reason to remove. He also didn't try to upsell any cosmetic procedures. Overall I recommend if you are going in for an annual mole check. Also there is another person in the room when he is doing the check. read more

I saw Rachel Taylor yesterday for about 8 minutes. She did not even introduce her assistant. She looked at a couple things and said " I think" multiple times. I'm glad she thinks! Only she didn't think to order prescriptions covered under my insurance, delaying prescription pickup, and my treatment. I've called 2x and left a message. Still waiting for her or someone in the office to resolve. The assistant that checked me in before Rachel entered was using profanity in front of my 10 month old. She also said "Rachel was great." I took time to complete the new patient paperwork and she didn't even discuss it with me. I requested a more experienced dermatologist for the next visit and hope to have a better experience going forward. So far - it's really bad. Prescriptions not ordered correctly delaying treatment. Employees allowed to use profanity in front of babies. Paperwork completed was not discussed. Interested services was not discussed. Poor manners by Dr. Taylor & 1st medical assistant. No explanation of what the diagnosis was, how I got it, what I can do to prevent it etc. Provided no genuine comfort or empathy for situation. Spent minimal time, rushed through appt. 5 stars for JA-Ney (spelling?) helping Ms. Taylor. She offered to help carry some things for me upon check-out. Update: It has been 22 hrs and 17 mins since they were notified by my pharmacy. Additionally, the pharmacy said they have sent 3 notifications. read more

I won't be returning to this dermatology office. The front desk staff had an attitude right off the bat, and the medical assistant who brought me in didn't introduce herself or show any basic professionalism. When I started explaining my concerns, she cut me off, told me to "wait," and then said I could only bring up two issues and that it was scheduling guidelines " I came in for a full visit with multiple skin concerns, not to be told last-minute that only two would be addressed. That kind of policy should be communicated clearly before the appointment, not sprung on patients in the room. Then the nurse practitioner came in and told me the same thing that I had to pick just two issues. I explained that everything I brought up was medically important, and eventually, she did address about five of them. Still, the whole visit felt rushed and impersonal. I didn't feel heard, I felt like a problem for bringing up more than one concern. It was a complete shift from my last visit with NP Jessica, who was kind, thorough, and didn't make me feel like I was asking for too much. When I told the MA I wouldn't be coming back and that the appointment was a waste of my time and money, she responded by saying it was "just a 10-minute appointment" like that excused the lack of care. She told me someone from management would talk to me but instead, the same NP came back in. At that point, I didn't even push to get another my mole check done, because the vibe was clear: I was being rushed out. The NP prescribed me azelaic acid and clindamycin, but barely explained what either medication was for. She chose the pharmacy and sent it over without asking me if I agreed to it. I went ahead and picked it up, but she did offer to refill one of my other medication once I ran out to just call the office and I give her that. I appreciated that Trish (who deserves real credit) took the time to explain how to use them correctly. She was the only part of the visit that felt professional. At the end of the day, I don't feel comfortable continuing care at a place where patients are treated like a checklist. Healthcare should be about listening, compassion, and respect not pushing people through like a line at the DMV. Made an appointment a few weeks ago, showed up earlier today and was seen right away. Service was quick, and like the fact they were able to see me for the problem I was dealing with. The front desk team that was working the counter were easy to deal with. I had a few questions for the assistant when I left, and they were able to help by phone. I went on a Friday afternoon to see Dr Aspacio for the first time after moving to Vegas. My main concern was skin cancer since my mother recently had 2 removed. I also had one suspicious spot frozen last year on my chest. Dr Aspacio failed to check my chest and many other spots on my body. He told me my skin was dry and did not provide any recommendations on how to improve it and didn't ask me any follow up questions to try to help me like many other caring doctors would. I also had a few pimples on my chin which I told him since I moved to Vegas I've been having little pimples on my chin, something I've never had before. He did not take a closer look at my chin he just told he didn't see anything and when they appear to go see him again. My experience was that Dr. Aspacio is not a doctor that cares for his patients and I would never go back to see him again. Honestly, I felt ripped off and cheated. read more

Anytime I feel I might need to be seen, they've always been quick to get me in and work around my busy work schedule. The service is always quick. When I come in, I feel I'm greeted and feel well taken care of. I often have a lot of questions, and feel they take their time to answer them all. I took my 9-year-old son to Summerlin Dermatology (Dr. Reuel Aspacio) after our pediatrician referred us for a large mole and a recurring wart. It was an awful experience from start to finish. My son was already anxious about the visit, and instead of being patient or kind, the doctor was abrupt, dismissive, and made him even more uncomfortable. He made an unnecessary, judgmental comment about my son being "tan," then rushed through the exam with no reassurance or bedside manner. When I asked about the wart, he gave an unnecessarily graphic and frightening explanation of a painful freezing procedure -- right in front of my child -- and said the only other option was months of a topical cream. Not helpful or compassionate at all. Then, when I asked about insect bites that my kids often get, he actually told me to have them wear long sleeves and pants and stay indoors in the evenings. I said that's not realistic -- my kids play sports outside. His only other advice was "use DEET," which I found outdated and careless. That's not how you talk to parents trying to help their kids. This visit was unprofessional, condescending, and completely lacking in understanding for pediatric patients or families. I would never recommend Dr. Aspacio to anyone -- especially not for children. read more

I scheduled a full body skin cancer screen with Dr. Aspacio. There was a spot on my arm that he biopsied. After finding a basal cell carcinoma, it was removed by the doctor. The experience was quite painless. I inquired about a substantial cyst on my upper back; I asked if I could schedule a proceedure to remove it as it had been there for several years. I requested a Nurse Practitioner, as my most recent excision was by a Nurse Practitioner in Austin. The procedure was scheduled with Rachel Taylor, who is a Board Certified APRN-C. I have had several excisions; this particular experience was very easy. The procedure was painless and went off without a hitch. Even the removal of the sutures was very easy. Rachel has a calming demeanor and was thouroughly professional. My interactions with both medical professionals were top notch! I recommend this medical office for any dermatology needs. read more

I stopped coming to this office almost a year ago but I recently saw a prescription that I was prescribed through this dermatology office and was triggered to leave a review about Dr. Reuel Aspacio, he is the reason I stopped going here and after reading some of these reviews, I see I'm not alone in the way I felt. I saw him twice and both times he was rude, uninterested and condescending. He made my whole apt feel uncomfortable and I left questioning why I even went because he made me feel dumb with the way he spoke down to me about my concerns. BOTH times I went, the medical assistants made a comment about his attitude after he left the room. I hope one day he learns how to treat people/patients with kindness, patience and compassion. Unfortunately about a day before she called and had to rebook me (all good, it happens). I waited another 2 weeks and was seen again, but not by Trish. don't do it there are plenty of shitty doctors in the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding areas so don't waste your time or your money on this place. I went here in 2020 because I was suffering from a severe fungal infection on my scalp that had moved its way down my back along my legs, my arm, my pelvic area, anus, my feet everywhere so badly that my labia was starting to fuse to m my inner thigh, making it difficult to walk the condition been diagnosed by two different doctors with Covid. There were some issues, but I had been at the ER been prescribed an oral antifungal and was moving in a good direction unfortunately for me, I was first referred to Linda Watson. Check out her yelp page to see what she did after that. I started searching online for doctors in Las Vegas that specialized in fungal infections and this office came up, specifically Ruel Aspecio. So I told them everything from start to finish, and they literally did exactly the same thing as Dr. Watson, despite the fact that this had already been diagnosed, and despite the fact that she had done a biopsy that she told me was going to come back negative because I had been taking the oral antifungal, they proceeded to take a culture using the same BS as the other one as Dr. Watson that they wanted to pinpoint the type of fungus. It was that they knew it was a fungus, but they wanted to know exactly the right strain so they could be treated most effectively, and I said to them it was being treated effectively. The oral 250 mg prescribed to me for 30 days at the hospital was was doing wonders. In fact I was getting better until Dr. Watson said she wanted to do a biopsy and said in the meantime she was going to have me take some antibiotics and some steroids which for the next 30 days she had me do that made me vomit and go from a size 8 to a size 22 in 30 days upon office she said I don't know what I'm looking at to find out that antibiotics and steroids will change the look of fungal of ringworm and make it tell but as I said, I told this to this office to Raul Espacio and he said well I just need to do a culture you know so I know what I'm dealing with. In the meantime he prescribes the shampoo that you prescribed somebody with a fungal scalp infection, some cream that you prescribed somebody with a fungal infection tells me to go ahead and take bleach baths, and when I expressed to him about what was going on in the with my said I needed to see an orthopedic surgeon really for a fungal infection on my I need to go have hip surgery absolutely disgusting so long story short I have spent six years sick on top of the five years that it took to become diagnosed to begin with years, I've been in Northern California with a great dermatologist prescribed and everything is being reversed, so the pain and discomfort the twisting of my body, the inability to walk the pressure on my head. All of that could've been done in 2020 but this piece of shit here, Raul, and the piece of shit. Linda Watson are in it for money and not in it for health of people they want to keep sending you for bullshit blood work to build your insurance company because they've got bills to pay. They're in it for money and nothing else so literally don't waste your time here don't waste your years of your life coming to places that are in it for the money like I said plenty of shitty ass doctors in Las Vegas Vegas this doesn't need to be when you go to. In Las Vegas the only one you should go to is Thomas dermatology and see Dr. Brooke she is who I saw in 2022 after ending up back in the ER with the same infection that I was there two years earlier she is the person who started me back on an orient antifungal and said you know some doctors are just in it for the money thankfully she wasn't. Unfortunately, I did have to move. Will not unfortunately because I got a better in California, which is fine cause she had to go on maternity leave and then I started seeing a different doctor and and was not as comfortable as I was with Dr. Brooke so anyway have a great day. Dr. Aspacio was AMAZING. I was recommended by a friend and initially scheduled a consultation. After speaking with him and the amazing nurse Trish, I decided I was ready to go ahead and get cosmetic treatment which they kindly said they were ready to do so during my appointment. I was surprised and ecstatic to get it done so quickly. They explained all details of each option I could get done and provided honesty on what the thought would be best option for me. I wanted a natural and subtle solution, which I feel they were conservative on each treatment. The entire appointment was comfortable and I felt right at home! During the treatment he was kind and thoughtful, I was aware of each procedure prior to just someone going in and not giving me a notice which would be fearful for me. I went to see the dermatologist due to my hand allergy, and the doctor who saw me was Dr. Reuel Aspacio. He asked me did not look at my palm (where the allergy is), he was standing by the door while I was sitting on the bed. It seems like he is not interested to see what is the main issue, he does not feel like a caring doctor at all. I was upset when I left because, he was talking to me like I am stupid. Dr here is okay. He's very knowledgeable and willing to help about acne treatments but I went twice for 2 different reasons and I was brushed off. Once was for hives and the visit lasted not even 5 minutes and told me that since it hasn't been 6 weeks with hives he can't do anything and left. Another time I went in for a mole consultation and told me he doesn't feel comfortable touching it and removing it and left. I went to another dermatologist for a mole consultation and he removed it that same visit. I don't often write negative reviews but with my experience as a new patient, I had to. I was going to give just one star; the second star is for Zara and the girls at the front/back office. To preface, I booked this appointment around May when I had a heat rash episode (not the first time) that causes an uncontrollable itch, BUT the first available to get seen was not until July - this appointment. Thankfully I self medicated with topical creams for two weeks and it got better. I kept the appointment so I can at least get insight on why I get these rashes during the summer AND to get help with my hormonal acne. I'm in my mid 30s and I feel like a damn teenager. So embarrassing. Now to the actual appointment. I meet Dr. Aspacio and he seemed nice at first, commented on my golden knights shirt I wore. Then proceeds to examine my face and calls me out for picking my acne. Yes, I know. I'm guilty. I know I'm not the only one. So then, he starts quickly talking about antibiotics and hormonal medications to treat my acne. I was going to ask about my rash on my arm, and this is where he turned me off. He said "ah ah ah! I'm not done!" Excuse me?! What kind of doctor would do or say that? A rude and arrogant one. He continued on with his plan for me and asked if I had any questions. At this point, no. I felt disrespected and rushed and just wanted to end this conversation. As a fellow Filipino, I'm surprised at his mannerisms. It's like he forgot how to be compassionate and have patience towards people who are new to this. A shout out to Zara (M.A.) who was in the room and witnessed everything. She apologized on his behalf for talking to fast with so many things and took the time to reiterate the treatment plan Dr. Aspacio prescribed. This doctor is a crook run. Do not go to this doctor. I had sebaceous cysts on my head right close to each other. I was told by the doctor that Medicare won't pay for anything under $500 and that he could only do one cyst at a time even though they were right next to each other he only allows 15 minutes per patient. This is a lie. Medicare pays under B the cost of removal for medically necessary cyst to be removed after you meet your deductible which is 240 some dollars this man lied. He said each cyst would cost $498 to be removed just under his $500 limit that he lied about. He is very rude. Always looking at his clock, so he makes sure that he only gives you a few minutes run run run do not use him. This was a medical necessary procedure as they were in a place that was constantly irritating them, and they were becoming infected. He is defrauding his patient and the insurance companies. read more

I have been to several other dermatologist here in Las Vegas over the years, by far they are the best, between the doctor, knowing what he's doing, the girls upfront, efficiency without me waiting, and taking me at my appointment time. "I don't often leave reviews, but it's been a couple of days since I had an appointment here, and I just needed to get this off my chest. First off, I do want to say that the office staff was nice, and the new patient check-in process was effective. The wait wasn't terrible, about 20 minutes once my check-in was completed, but after that is kind of where everything went downhill. I was seen by the RNP Olivia, and to put it out there, I was diagnosed with rosacea. Okay, cool. I figured I had it. It runs in my family. But still, it was a new diagnosis for me, and I explained I had never had skin problems before and was at a loss about what to do. I wanted to ask questions, I wanted the expert I was paying to see to discuss this with me and suggest things I could do to help improve the issue. I didn't get that. I got a light shined on my face, and I was prescribed medications, and that was it. 45 minutes total wait time, less than 10 minutes with the medical expert, who was clearly in a rush and just did not have time for me. I did manage to stop her on the way out of the door to get one question out, but it was clear she had to go, and I was not able to ask the others. That was discouraging, to say the least. I will say, of the 3 medications she prescribed me, I think one she sort of explained, but the other two, I was just sent on my way with. No explanation of what they were, when I should apply them, side effects to look out for, nothing. And honestly? That really didn't sink in with me until I'm sitting here now with $70 in medication I have no idea how to use because the pharmacy the office uses (Pro source delivered by Nimble) doesn't attach a medication leaflet to the medications, and they don't have a pharmacist I can call with questions. Thankfully, we live in the age of Google, Reddit, and my CVS pharmacist is awesome. The whole thing was just... well, like I said above, discouraging. And while I'm supposed to have a follow-up in 3 months, I don't know how I feel about returning because while I understand places are busy, and I understand you're probably overbooked, at the same time... shouldn't you want to make sure patients are at least somewhat educated about what you just diagnosed them with? Shouldn't you care that they understand at least something about the medications you just gave them? I'm not asking or even expecting for hours of your time, but maybe let your patients ask a couple of questions before you usher them out the door for the next one, is all I'm suggesting." read more

I had a breakout on my legs. After trying home remedies for a few days I made an appointment, however I couldn't be seen for approximately 2 weeks. I took photos of the breakout in case they cleared up and sure enough they did, which wasn't a bad thing. I still kept my appointment to get help. Dr Aspascio was short and dismissive of me saying it's been 4 years since I had been there and that makes me a new patient. ( Um SO). He says if breakout happens again I can see someone else because my insurance will cover. He also mentioned his assistant or someone, I was so turned off by his condescending, dismissive manner and by him standing by the door, like it would annoy him to be near me.
