Dr. MacLeod is a sweetheart and so professional and so does his staff!! They care about your skin and give the best advice for your skin concerns. It takes me 45 minutes drive to get here but it's so worth it. Today, I was here for different issue but I told him about my dry skin (everybody has dry skin in Vegas, right?) then he gave me a prescription along with samples of cream to try before I fill prescription. How nice!! The only thing is it's hard to find his office (for me). He is in one of the big medical buildings in a medical complex. I got lost in the parking lot for the first time I was here. If you have a bad sense of direction like me, just call the office from your car, the receptionist will kindly guide you to his office. So no worries. I was referred to this clinic and to see Dr. MacLeod by my bf who've had excellent results with treatments through him. It is conveniently located in Summerlin, adjacent to the Summerlin Hospital. The appointments were easy to make. They do Non-surgical, and Facial Rejuvenation Treatments. They do not take insurance. However, when you fill out the medical form, they will ask for your ID and insurance card. I was having trouble with a rash that wouldn't go away and had my medical doctor look at it but in vain until I came to this place. He charges $100 for office visits. He is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable in his field and he takes the time to listen and is helpful in everyway. I was prescribed some cream to use and it really worked in 2 weeks time. Everyone listen up. This is gonna be one of my most personal reviews about someone who I really admire. Rarely in life do we every encounter a person like Dr. Scott MacLeod. He is an accomplished and experienced physician who specializes in Dermatology, he went to the most prestigious medical school for his specification, he has an incredibly upscale office in Summerlin, yet for some reason unlike the rest of the dermatologists I have met, Dr. MacLeod does not do this for the money. Dr. MacLeod is a man whose identity is his career, and he dedicates all his physical and mental energy into helping not only his patients but our local community. When my relationship with my ex began falling apart, I began experiencing bizarre symptoms. One of the most noticeable was that about 30% of my hair fell out over night. These bald patches were as bald as my palm and were impossible to comb over. This disorder is called Alopecia Areata, and for many people hair never grows back on it's own. Alopecia Areata is a much more severe disorder than people assume. Being in the mental health counseling field, I know from experience with my clients that balding causes many psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, decrease in self esteem, agoraphobia, and an increase in socially withdrawn behaviors. These symptoms are even more severe in women, and unfortunately statistics show that AA affects both women and men equally. I went to many dermatologists before I found Dr. McLeod. The others charged me over $200 total for the visit(not including treatment) and usually the Dr's intern treated me instead. With the other Doctors, no progress ever was made in regrowing my hair. I was about to give up and just shave the rest of my head but then a friend told me that there is a Dermatologist in Summerlin that specializes in treating these auto-immune disorders that cause skin and hair issues. The other Dermatolgists were not specialists in balding, and only specialized in plastic surgery etc. So, I gave Dr. McLeod a try since he was the only D.O./M/D/ in the valley who had that kind of experience. When I got to the office I was shocked that he charges like 1/3 the price of the other dermatologists (and treatment is included in the flat price). His staff charged me like $60 or something. Like I said above, Dr. MacLeod is more focused on helping people than making money, and he wants to give low income uninsured residents of Las Vegas a chance to get the type of elite medical treatment that usually only the very wealthy have the luxury and privilege to experience. Dr. MacLeod made a very detailed assessment of my condition. He then carefully found a type of steroid that he knew from my medical history would be most compatible in my body. And, he was right because my body reacted very well to that injection. Within 3 weeks my hair had began growing back. He scheduled me to come back the very next month for a follow up injection, but when he saw my hair had grown back, he gave me another careful assessment which lasted 20 minutes and then said "no charge". He then congratulated me on beating Alopecia Areata and insisted I don't pay him a cent for the visit. Dr. MacLeod is a Caucasian man but he knows incredible amounts of information about Asian hair. I was extremely impressed because most MDs don't know how to specifically make adjustments for our type of skin and hair. Not just that, Dr. MacLeod reeks of cultural sensitivity in his approaches to his patients, he realizes that no human being is exactly alike and every individual needs special care which is particular to their unique cases. Dr. MacLeod by nature, is one of those types of people that unintentionally provide psychological support, empathy, and motivational encouragement. There is nothing worse than going to a cold, jaded, and unsupportive MD who doesn't really care if you get better or not(as we know 99.9% of MDs here in LV are like that). I really want to conclude by just saying that in our society too much glorification is made towards turning celebrities and athletes into our role models and heroes. In real life, the true heroes of American society are people like Dr. Scott MacLeod who sacrifice so much to give back to society and allow all people regardless of social class the opportunity to receive that type of medical treatment that celebrities pay thousands of dollars for. It is such an asset to have this man in our city of Las Vegas. read more

Im a huge fan of Dr Fong and her husband Dr Macleod who practices Dermatology. Dr Macleod was so caring and wonderfully engaging with my daughter when she needed to have something cryogenically removed. His bed side manner was second to none. In fact she had been to two other dermatologists for the same thing. He was the only one who took the time to explain what would happen and what we needed to look for and do. Surprise, surprise it was the last visit she needed and the problem was resolved. Easy, friendly and reasonable. Love him. Dr. Fong is my absolute favorite for injectables, she is meticulous, artistic and extraordinary when it comes to creating beautiful results. Her numbing creme is the BEST. So important when having these types of procedures. She uses tiny needles so small I didn't even feel the injections around or on my forehead. Excellent experience at LuxDermatology and with Dr Fong. She took time with me to understand what my concerns were and to discuss my options, including the cost. Dr Fong injected Dysport for the lines around my eyes and at my jaw to relieve some of my nighttime clenching. I returned a week later for filler. Dr Fong used two different types, Restylane and volumna, in order to get the results I needed for the "jowlyness" around my chin and mouth. I am pleased with the results. Dr. Fong is awesome - I have had HORRIBLE experiences here in Nevada, most notably by Dr.Lee of Look Younger MD who absolutely butchered the subtly of my face. After seeing him & literally weeping at the sight of what he had done to my face I held off for months before venturing to see Dr. Fong out of fear but I'm so glad I did. 1st the office, is within the summerlin hospital complex, is CLEAN - is antiseptic hygienic space. Dr. Fong is personable, wears scrubs, washes her hands before handling your face vs dr. Lee. She was wonderful to speak to, looked carefully at my before I had ANYTHING injected into my face pictures and proposed a multi-visit plan to dissolve and then attempt to address my initial concerns, which were cavernous appearance below my eyes. I paid $450 to dissolve the nearly 2.5G that Dr. Lee injected into my face. I could go back to Dr. Lee but I did not trust him. (Plus I had a allergic reaction to his injections - of note I had NO reaction to Dr Fong's injections.) The next 2 weeks I very happily saw my face return to its normal appearance. On followup Dr. Fong, also pleased, addressed my initial concern re under eye darkness. I have seen Dr. Fong a few times now for Botox etc &&& I would highly recommend her. She does not over sell, she's pleasant, she understands subtlety...in short avoid my mistakes & see Dr. Fong 1st & you will save yourself a bunch of $ plus save yourself the heartache of looking horrendous. I've been to Dr. MacLeod twice, and I was very satisfied each time. He's very polite and respectful; for example, I was in an exam room waiting for his arrival, and he popped into the room to tell me he'd be a couple minutes late because he was having to spend additional time with a patient--and he was literally only a couple minutes late, hardly enough time to warrant an apology. I was blown away by this because most physicians will keep you waiting forever without so much as telling you what's going on or what kind of delay you can expect. As far as bedside manner, Dr. MacLeod is thorough and listens to your concerns--he never rushes through an appointment, and always answers all of your questions thoroughly. My second experience with Dr. MacLeod was also excellent. In fact, because the problem I had was of the nature that could have been dealt with during my first appointment, Dr. MacLeod waived the appointment fee! I've never seen anyone do this before. Another thing that I really like is the office--it's very cheerful and somehow feels more upbeat than the typical doctor's office.
