The piercer refused to use a tool to put them in correctly and kept trying to jam the jewelry in causing lots of pain (they're fully healed). Then once she accepted she needed the tool, she put in the wrong size. A simple jewelry change was a nightmare and my high nostrils were irritated for a week. I got a lobe piercing here and also perfect, this time it was a guy that was piercing me, and he was cool, but not as kind, but the third one, my industrial piercing, that one was another story. Bad: Lets start off with reception. The guy in the front desk is always serious and seems to be over with it. But whatever, maybe he is and hope he is happy maybe out of work. The industrial piercing I got was maybe the worst experience. I waited like for 2 hours for it. Got the piercer (guy from 2nd piercing) to check my ear to see if I had the right anatomy and he said I did, so I went with it. I maybe moved, and because of the adrenaline of the pierce I fainted when I got it done, he took the situation all well, and gave me instructions of after-care and all. I understood that the healing of an industrial takes 6-12 months. But it has been around 7 months since, and I believed the ear has healed like 55% of the way. I know this is not a professional opinion place, but I asked Reddit if my ear and piercing was okay. And ALL the comments said I definitely did not have the anatomy and that I should get the piece put ASAP, as my ear's flat had been pierced, and not the part that should've be pierced for an industrial. I am finding a place that is not Body Rituals to get the industrial removed. I would still recommend the place to others, but for industrials, no. The space of piercing is clean, piercers are generally nice, and the place in general has a nice aesthetic and music. I would not have minded though. I know that my piercer had years of experience, and maybe it was me that ended up moving, but I would not get offended of getting told that I do not have the anatomy and find alternatives to a piercing that does look like an industrial.

Boy, am I happy I did! Through Instagram I found Sam and immediately fell in love with an available flash piece she had posted on her IG story. I decided to reach out through email that night because I couldn't stop thinking about how cute it was. She got back to me the next day telling me the piece was still available-- woohoo! We shot a few friendly emails back and forth about size, color, and pricing (she works for ~120 an hour) and worked out an available time later in the week. This isn't my first rodeo with tattoos, so believe me when I tell you I could NOT BELIEVE how comfortable she made me feel the whole time (it was like chilling with an old friend). Even better, the tattoo was the least painful I have EVER gotten. I even pointed out that I couldn't believe how little pain I was experiencing. Whoever taught her, taught her well. I struggled with how I wanted to approach leaving this review. I wanted to wait for the tattoo to…read moreheal and for my anger to subsided a little. However, I'm permanently branded and I'm sick to my stomach over this. My dog passed away on July 28th, even though I knew it was coming I was still devistated. I had always planned on getting her paw print tattooed on me. Yesterday July 31st 2020 I had someone by the name of will do my pawprint. I was very specific in how I wanted this to look. I brought in my Maggie's paw print and asked if he could replicate it without harsh lines and to keep it light and shaded. I had her actual pawprint as well as a picture pulled up on my phone for reference the entire time. When he was done he barely cleaned off the excess ink and purple stencil. I thought that was strange because every other tattoo I've had the artist make sure to clean it up really well. I made a comment about it being dark and patchy. He stated that it would lighten up as it heals and to come back in for a touch up in a few weeks. After cleaning it and looking at it the next day it's obvious why he didn't wipe up the excess ink and stencil, because it was camouflaging how bad it really was. not only does this look nothing like the picture that I brought in for reference, but you can clearly see harsh lines, some of which go right through the shaded areas. The outside, or border if you will, goes from dots to straight harsh angled lines. Nothing is consistent or organic about this at all. The little imperfections and wisps of hair from her paw print look like random polka dots. Almost 100% of the tattoo is filled in. There's no negative space or area for skin to show through. The reason I got this tattoo was to help with the grieving process of losing my dog. Now I'm feeling anger and frustration that I have a tattoo that looks like it was done by a 7th grader with a safety pin. It's going to cost me hundreds of dollars to have this removed professionally. There's no touch-up or cover-up that is going to make this look the way it was supposed to look. I was told by the doctor I have to let it heal for 8 weeks before they can start the process of removing it. With that being said it's not even about the money, or the facts that it's going to take me a long time to have this removed. It's about the fact that for whatever reason the time and care that should go into a memorial tattoo like this didn't. This tattoo was very important to me. It was a way for me to heal, and now it's just another bad tattoo story that I'm going to have to explain to a lot of people.
