Had a great experience and excellent service for a shower door install. I came in and got a quote for a shower door and all of the potential upgrades. Paul was great at breaking down the price and working with me to figure out what fit my style and budget. Gave me a quote right away and honored that price when I called back to confirm. I got a great price that was cheaper than the quotes I got from other local vendors. The service crew came out the next work day and took all the necessary measurements. They gave me an expected service date, and then called a couple days later to squeeze me in due to a cancellation. They were in and out with no mess. These guys are amazing! I am a small business owner and while doing a job, we broke a sliding glass door... I called these guys and immediately brought the door to them. Within a few hours, they had the glass replaced and ready for us ri bring back. Unfortunately I didn't have room for the door to safely fit inside my car... they actually offered to deliver it for me at NO extra charge! We had a good experience with everyone at The Skylight Place! Paul was professional, friendly and attentive with us and followed up on all our phone calls. We have a house where most of the large double-paned windows had failed, and many needed to be replaced. Although it took some time for the special order glass to arrive, the installation process was smooth and professional. The workers left the work area clean. It would have been a nice touch if the workers had washed the new windows after installation, since many are hard to reach. Also some of the outdoor molding needed adjustment after installation, but once the problem was pointed out, they quickly took care of it. Overall, we were very satisfied with the work. read more

We built our house 27 years ago, so by now we have had a few window failures. I ran across The Skylight Place when I stopped in a few years back to inquire about several failed Milgard windows we had installed (by somebody else) which had visible seal failure i.e. were streaky between the panes. These were not windows which they had sold, but they connected us up with Milgard and got them replaced. Since then they have helped me with a failed Norco window crank system and some screens. It has always been a get more than you pay for experience for me. If you think you got less than what you paid for with them, take it from me, consider the possibility that you had unrealistic expectations. read more

Skylight place has provided nothing but GREAT customer service. I feel like Santa Cruz tends to lack in this area, but these guys have got it down. They are pros are their job and are extremely professional. Our cat destroyed our screens and they came out within a day and installed new pet screen for us! They are too thick for our cat to claw through and it works perfect for us. Its a thicker screen that is also darker, which blocks out our crazy neighbors as well. There are plenty of other vendors in town to do windows and screens who provide proper customer service at a fair price.
