The place is a little run down. Reminds me of a dive bar. But wanted to eat at a location that means something to the locals. So some friends brought me here. Service was a little shaky at first, but picked up as time went on. Sandwich was hot and freshly made. Seasoned just right and very flavorful. Fries were hot and crispy. No complaints on this. Just some upgrades needed for the restaurant. But if the locals that frequent this place often don't mind, I'm good with it. read more

A buddy and I went to lunch today here. The place is dated but hey this is a diner so that was ok for me. Needs new carpets and a good cleaning. Waitress was fantastic. Didn't catch her name but a tall girl, long black hair, younger side, great smile. she was very attentive and refilled our soda and water glasses without us even asking. Extensive menu. Breakfast all day as well. We both had the turkey over filling with two sides for like $13 per. Food came out quickly, service was great, portions were small. Also one of my sides were fries which were fantastic. Went to the bathroom once in three hours. Almost threw up my lunch. Sour smell, dirty floor and walls. Toilet was extremely loose and several times I thought I would tip over. If not for the cleanliness or lack thereof I would have given 4 stars. However they earned a 2 because of the waitress and great service from her and the kitchen. HIRE A CLEANING company please! read more

Solo diner, middle age white female here. Stopped for food before long term parking drop off at Newark Airport due to flight delays. Totally safe, clean and DEElish food, GREAT coffee, friendly service, polite customers. This is the real deal and I'm almost happy my flight got delayed. I was trying to find a spot near Newark airport before my flight and stumbled across this unexpected gem. Our server Mari was the sweetest thing and hustling during rush hour lunch. Filthy dirty. I walked into the bathroom during breakfast and someone was cleaning up from the night before. There were feminine bodily fluids and vomit everywhere. He let me go in the bathroom he was cleaning and there was soiled toilet paper EVERYWHERE. The food wasn't good either. Bland and flavorless. The food is not bad aging I have only ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad but the service could use some work. I been there a few times and every time the waitress talks to me in spanish.. basically assuming I am spanish... which I am LOL but it's not nice to assume. If I see a black man selling bottled water on the street corner I wouldn't assume he is Mexican.. This spot is very close to my job. I went here when I needed convenience to a quick meal. I ordered a burger medium well. I get to work and the burger was well done. I wasn't able to go back to get the order right. I fought with the idea of getting g a refund or another meal. Totally forgot about the bad experience and moved forward as jot to be pretty. Last night I ordered soft cooked bacon with home fries and scrambled eggs. Man how could you mess up something g soo basic. My bacon was hard as hell. This is the skyline diner, I'm not sure where they came up with luncheonette. The diner is connected to Lookers go-go bar. Skyline is a decent 24 hour diner with the added bonus of having a go-go bar next door. Pretty good sites of the dancers in the parking lot and also inside the diner after their shifts. The evening shift cashier looks like she could easily pop in next door and be a dancer. Interesting place, good diner food too! read more
