Very quaint market with a good offering of local goods and food. Including frozen foods, ice cream, bread, jars of goodies, cookies, jams and pies! Who doesn't like homemade pies?

Fun and upscale general store with a good supply of treats and eats. Building itself is a worthwhile stop.

About time for a re-review…read more... Oh Averill Farm... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. - The farm is family run and truly feels like it. The folks who work there are SO nice and helpful and friendly and kind. There are kiddos and farm pups running around, kind signs offering water for those who need it (in stark contrast to a certain corporate orchard we despise, which does not provide drinking water to patrons and does not allow patrons to bring water in, even for dogs). Averill is the kind of simply humane, thoughtful place that brings joy to my heart. - The farm is beautiful. So beautiful. On a coolish autumn morning, it's uncrowded and you can gaze out into the distance to see tractors mowing in distant fields, outlined against a periwinkle sky, rows and rows of neat trees, all impeccably well kept. Adjacent to the farm market, there's a big, wide field with a generous number of picnic tables placed all around, far enough from one another that you can pretend like you have the field all to yourself. - Farm produce and products are pure goodness. Apples and pears are magnificent, of course: juicy, healthy, not doused with pesticides. Cider donuts are freshly fried, well blotted, and not overly sweet. An apple crumb pie, redolent with butter and still warm at purchase, was world class, not overly sweet. Pear and apple cider are the embodiment of clean, adulterated fruit flavor. It's food I feel good about feeding to my kiddos. - The bathroom is a port-a-potty situation, but the one I used was pretty clean. There are four behind the farm store. - Pricing is fair. - Fellow patrons are civilized and respectful, which makes me so happy. Policies are generous, rules are reasonable -- and as a result, patrons don't feel like they have to claw back something from the business to even out the playing field. At some large, commercial places, you see some patrons pull apple after apple off of trees, take one bite, and then throw them down into the grass to rot (so they feel like their insanely high cost of entry is justified, I speculate). Averill owners and Averill patrons are respectful of one another, making for a truly pleasant visit. If you enjoy a bucolic, relaxing and beautiful apple picking (without the gaudy carnivalesque elements offered by some larger establishments), Averill Farm is an absolute must.

We're briefly updating our commentary about the Bantam Market, but our thoughts about it haven't…read morechanged all that much. It remains a small, independently owned store with a surprisingly full stock, lots of fresh meats, deli items, produce, a large beer cooler with all the local and foreign brands you night desire, and a very friendly and helpful staff. We're especially fond of the nice folks behind the deli counter. Our complaints are about the same: the prices hover on the high side. The prices are generally quite a bit higher than the nearby Stop and Shop, but honestly, the quality of their locally produced items is far higher. Still, if you're buying some basics like soup or milk, you'll pay more here, and some prices can be really way up there. Sometimes we're frustrated by that, other times we're grateful to find some delicious fresh fish or prepared salads. Bantam is not our first market of choice, but we're here regularly for some things we like and want.

Not really the place to do "normal grocery…read moreshopping", as others have previously stated, it's on the expensive side (in some cases, outrageously so). But if you're looking for unique food items, this is your place. For me, I stop in often just to pick up some fried chicken from the deli, it's the best around -- juicy & meaty, but not greasy, and the coating is very tasty. $6.99 a pound. That fried chicken is 5 Stars every time. Friendly crew, but the checkout can be a bit of a process though, the place does a brisk business, and the parking lot is always full.

You're even using my name (though mine was "Eatery" rather than "Epicuria"), graphic design work, and many other concepts right down to my color scheme while giving yourself all the accolades. Bravo. I wonder why the relationship went bad? I'm sure it had nothing to do with you, you come off like such a sweetheart in person, who would even think? I wonder how my cafe' in Sedona was robbed of over $5,000 in equipment, supplies and cash within a 90 minute period while I was out sourcing ingredients the very morning after I banished you from the establishment (for attempting to illegally claim my business as your own with the Arizona Business Commission, the documents of which I found on my business laptop that also went missing). I don't wonder why you're not a success now nor will you ever be while carrying that karma and attempting to cover it in lies. I notice that you were originally going to put on an event last month where you were going to share your "enlightenment" with the community. It's a shame it had to rain that day. Let me share a little something about enlightenment with you that would make your life a heck of a lot better. Don't steal, don't lie and don't cheat, especially when it comes to those that are supporting you the most, your "loved" ones and your customers. When you back stab others, including your own family, that is a big energetic no no in this universe we coexist in. Doing any of these things does not denote "Integrity" in any way, which could hinder a product line or sales pitch that is embroiled in that word. Also, learn to be "coach-able", you remember that line from Landmark Education, the organization you quote religiously. Always keep in mind that you don't now nor will you ever know everything. No one does nor can, it is impossible. Listening is far more important than yapping away and barking orders at others especially when you are deficient of all the details and in a position to learn valuable skills that would actually help you along your journey. I have no problem admitting I don't know everything, especially when it comes to LOVE. I do know this though: when you and your son robbed my restaurant that my mother invested in and I poured my heart soul and tears into (not to mention countless hours, long days and nights), that alone did not encompass what I feel is in the spirit of LOVE. It especially did not encompass that spirit when you both bragged about robbing me "so he would fail" to other members of the community and as I'm sure you are aware, you both wore out your welcomes here which is why you are back there. When you build anything on a foundation of lies it will refuse to grow, regardless of how much money you throw at it. My greatest advice to you here and forever foreword is to be truthful and honest not only with the members of your community that you purport to serve, but with yourself first and especially your fiance' THAT'S SUPPORTING YOU. You left a scar on this community here in Sedona not to mention my life and the lives of those closest to me. To this day, over 2 years later I have people tell me how saddened it made them that I had to close my doors. Looks like you have a second chance at LOVE. Congratulations, I wish you all the best and hope you don't blow it this time around! P.S. It has been said that apologizing to someone you wronged can clear energetic blocks and help you move forward successfully. Like I said, I don't know everything but from time to time I do know some things like: carrying baggage can be heavy, especially if it weighs a lot! It can even make it feel like "your world is falling apart around you".
