For the price it was decent, it was fresh tasting, seasoned properly, fries were crispy and people working there were very friendly. So I was looking forward to going back. This time around I was super disappointed. I just hope it was an off day and I can come back since it's super close to our house (I can walk there). The catfish was our favorite thing, which was perfectly flaky and battered lightly with cornmeal. The shrimp was also good (about 10 shrimp in a platter) but loved the fish more. Platters come with 3 hush puppies, cup of coleslaw (not pictured), a mound of fries, and remoulade. The shrimp also came with cocktail sauce. The meat and crawfish pies had a saucy gumbo like filling and the crust was not greasy. We got a couple of to-go cups to try the NOLA hot sauces they have available on the counter. Fries are on the softer side after taking to-go, but perfectly salted. The 2nd time, we went for catfish po'boys - messy, but so good! Lettuce, tomato, pickles and remoulade on a nice soft bun with the perfectly cooked fish and comes with fries. We also tried the boudin balls which were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, which we dipped in the remoulade and hot sauce. Unfortunately, they were out of the banana pudding - will have to get it another time. Curious to see how their plate lunch is also.
