Hmmm... based off the high reviews, I will have to give this place another chance, but I have to admit that I wasn't impressed at all. I had the chalupa taco that completely dissolved into the chalupa that was soggy and bland. I had to eat it with a fork. The chicken taco needed some grill marks or something in the meat. Too light skinned. The taco was decent but could've been better. Next time I try this place I will try to eat it there to avoid it getting soggy. I've tacos all over the country, some of the best rated spots and this was just different. Great service, nice location, I will return with an update. read more

Tacos pollo loco truck exceeded my expectations! I love the authentic feel of the food and the service. Their guacamole is made fresh so its not always available! Their tacos are delicious. Very good, I liked the spicy sausage best. The cashier was nice; after I put in my order I asked about the birra and she gave me a sample. Definitely getting that next time. Tacos Pollo Loco truck has the absolute BEST tacos in Orange County. It's super convenient for commuters due to its proximity to the Harriman NJT station. There are a few picnic tables for those who opt to enjoy their tacos outside. When you approach the truck, you can just smell the delicious aroma of their food.... MMM. I've tried almost every one of their tacos, but my favorites are the brisket and al pastor. For those with an adventurous palate, they even have lengua (tongue) tacos. Their tacos are served with sliced radishes on the side, which makes for that perfect crunch. And their red hot sauce is SO GOOD - perfect amount of spice and just packed with flavor. They have a mild green sauce that is delicious too! Service here is quick and friendly. They aren't open 7 days a week, so make sure you call before you take a ride over. So fresh and good! This spot is right off of the highway so if traveling towards the city this may be the spot for you! Everything is made to order and the staff is friendly. There is no indoor seating as this is a food truck but they do have covered outdoor seating right outside of their truck that they have built. My husband was interested in the spot because they had lengua chalupas and he enjoyed it- it was not what he expected but he did like it. I got a shrimp and chicken taco and tostada. The tostada was my favorite. Definitely would support this mom and pop spot again! read more

I'm from Los Angeles, CA and we have the best mexican food so you can imagine it's been hard to find anything comparable in Monroe but Tacos Pollo Loco reminded me of home. This truck is very authentic. I had a Torta de asada and my partner had the burrito de asada. The salsa is off the charts!! So flavorful and spicy. I loved that they had a sit down area so we got to enjoy our meal underneath an umbrella. It's off the highway which is really convenient for people traveling. We weren't looking for Tacos Pollo Loco but they caught our attention while driving. I can't wait to go back and try more food on the menu. read more

So I drive by this truck pretty often and never tried it until the other day. And I'm very glad I did because the tacos are really good! As far as I can tell, they're pretty fresh too. Crazy good food truck in the middle of a suburban NY commuter community. Super fresh everything - we had a variety of tacos (shrimp was voted the fave by two of us), a chicken enchiladas platter and a beef burrito. All eaten with great enthusiasm. The quality of the rice and hot sauces really elevated the simple fare. If you have space, the guacamole and chips also worth it. Took a day trip to Legoland Resort. Found this amazing food truck. Absolutely scrumptious food!!! My husband, daughter and I ordered torta de milanesa de pollo, my son ordered tacos de bistec, my other son ordered tostada tradicional. Everything was exceptionally good! We tried whole wheat and corn polenta with and without tomato sauce, sausage, or cheese. Each combination was very good. The proprietor was very friendly. The polenta was piping hot and the drinks were ice cold. It was a pleasant al fresco taste of Italy.

There's about five tables inside with the option for take out. The chorizo burrito my husband and I tried was insanely out of this world delicious. It was moist, well seasoned, had a good balance of fillings, and was still well cooked outside. I might be ruined for burritos now. It was that good. I also had the Milanez de Pollo taco, a thinly pounded breaded and fried chicken breast over rice all served on a slightly thicker masa tortilla. It came with sauted onions and jalapenos. There was a variant of it with hard boiled eggs too. I thought it was a good meal. The table sauces, red and green, are possibly home made? Watch out for the green bottle if you're more heat sensitive- I was on FIRE for a hot minute... but I also wanted more because it was tasty. Aside from the food we ordered they have a heckin' good amount of tortas, huaraches, sopas, etc which I would be eager to try. They also had horchata and fresh pressed juices available. Parking- there's street parking out front and a big parking lot available just a few doors down. The whole area is nice though- get a torta and go to the park or ride the rail-trail.

I've been vegan for 10 most so I'm always looking to get what I love veganize so I can have it. They didnt offer what I was looking for (black bean, corn & cheese) but they did offer a veggie empanada. It had spinach in it and it was really good too. These empanadas are a good size and price. $4. Fyi..if paying with a card you have to get atleast $10 in food so... I chose 3.. veggie for me cheese and beef for my bf. Very, very good..
