We wanted tacos for Cinco de Mayo and figured we'd give Jurassic Tacos a try. We ordered 4 al pastor tacos, 1 chicken, and 1 steak taco. The total came out to about $30, which at first felt a little expensive for tacos, but once we got them we realized these definitely aren't your regular street tacos. Each one came with fresh homemade flour tortillas, fried cheese, sauce, and toppings that were different depending on the meat. My favorites were the chicken and steak tacos. The al pastor was still good, just not my personal favorite. It was a little sweet.. it kind of reminded me of a Mexican candy I've had before, but I still can't quite put my finger on it. I had come here once before about 1 year ago and the meat was a really bad cut, very very chewy and lots of fat. But I decided to give it another chance and this time it was wonderful. I think the last time I went was just a bad experience. The customer service was great, the guy was very friendly. They had a lot of side options to choose from, free of charge. Their mild salsa is very bright and light, great flavorful. I like that they have a keto option; and that's what I got! With the Al pastor meat which was delicious. It was clean inside and there weren't any other people so I didn't have a long wait. There was plenty of parking and the service was friendly. They have lots of cute dinosaur decorations I just with they had more vegetarian options. There is an app but for some reason it didn't give me any points. First time trying this place! Heard good things about the taco truck and finally have a storefront right in our very city!! We ordered the street tacos, the nachos con carne, and the shrimp tacos. All were pretty tasty! The staff is super friendly and the ambience is super cute - loving all the wood trim they used in their decor! I have a feeling we will come to this place pretty often, as it's just yummy food and close to home! They have a sled serve topping area for your tacos. I have been here a handful of times since they have opened closer to home. We ordered our dinner Saturday evening for takeout. It was prepared quickly. We did ask if there was any salsa that came with the chips served on the side of the tacos and the cashier told us no but if we paid $1 we could get salsa on the side. When we got home, we were disappointed to find the smallest container of salsa that literally tasted like it was from the jar at a grocery store. I ordered a fish taco and then my husband and I split a chicken Jurassic taco. I will start with the fish taco, it was very good. The fish was battered and cooked perfectly. All of the flavors that were in the taco were spot on and very tasty. I would definitely order this again. The Jurassic taco, as mentioned on the menu, is supposed to come with refried beans on the inside. There were no refried beans in my Jurassic taco. It was only cheese and chicken. The chicken was a little fatty and chewy. The taco would have been 20x better with the refried beans. I don't know the menu would say it comes with beans in it, and mine did not. Overall, just an okay experience-hence why the three star review. Hoping next time to have a better experience, with no canned salsa and my taco to have what is supposed to actually be in it. read more

If you're apprehensive about trying Jurassic like I was then I recommend giving it a try. For whatever reason, I had the impression it would be overpriced, "fancier" street tacos that wouldn't hold up to the traditional street tacos I'm accustomed to from the various other street taco joints in the area. While Jurassic is a little more expensive, I definitely got my money's worth with one of their signature tacos, the T-Rex. I would recommend Jurassic if you're hungry and ready to eat a good amount of food since their signature tacos are much larger than normal and are almost the size of a quesadilla. While if you're just searching for a small meal or pick-me-up then I think you're safe coming here if you're close but I don't think you need to go out of your way for it. The large version of the street taco is kind of their thing here and totally worth going out of the way if you're hungry. read more

I've been eyeing this place all year and finally stopped by to give it a try. Pretty disappointed. I ordered the Raptor with New York steak and told them I was dining in. They delivered it to me in a takeout container and bag, which I thought was weird. It was supposed to have Anaheim chilis in it but there was only enough chili to impact 1/3 of the taco. In fact I was just about to go back and tell them that they forgot to put the chili in it when the young man behind the counter found me and apologized, saying that they had given me the wrong meal and they were preparing the correct one for me to have as a takeout. When I got home, I found that the one they gave me was also lacking Anaheim chilies - completely this time! While the steak in my first one was overcooked, it did taste good. In the takeout one the meat had a lot of gristle and was also overcooked. The other thing I noticed is that they didn't have any salsa for the chips they provided with the meal. The chips were not my favorite. Little to no salt, thick, and stale. Last thing - that plate and a Mexican Coke with a tip was $21! That's crazy expensive I feel for a place like that for overcooked gristly meat. read more

As far as street tacos (since that's all I had a chance to try), this place is DINO-MITE! The portions of meat were very generous, and thick cut. We're talking huge chunks of steak and chicken, compared to other street tacos I've had. My favorite part by far was the cilantro ranch. YUM! The decor is very modern and cool. The walls and counters are decked out with fun plants and dinosaur figurines. The food is served on a small wooden tray with some nice liners. The toppings bar has plenty of options including cilantro, onion, pickled onion, fresh lime, and more. They also had decent Horchata! Kudos to the amazing staff, who were so friendly and courteous in answering questions or helping us in every way possible to make our experience a great one. NEGATIVES: the only thing that stood out to me was that there was a pool of grease on our trays even before we got to eating our tacos. The tortillas just seemed a little more wet than normal. PRICE: the street tacos are actually comparable to other places around town, at about $3.00 each. But it comes with a side of chips! And the portion sizes are way better. 10/10 would recommend. The condiment bar was loaded, grilled peppers and onions, pickled onions, pickled carrots, chopped cucumber and chopped white onion with cilantro. Sauces included hot, mild and ranch. I was disappointed that they didn't have a pico or a traditional red salsa. We had both pollo and carne asada meats and they were both really good. I preferred the steak because the chicken had some fatty pieces I had to pick through (not all of it, there were lots of good white meat chunks). The chips are thick and homemade and delicious. The nachos we ordered looked good and definitely have a lot of potential-but the cheese was NOT melted which is the whole basis of what nachos should be! This was my first time to this restaurant after recognizing the brand as a former food truck. They have a great menu and can easily adapt to a vegetarian diet. I had the Aptosaurus which was a vegetarian taco loaded with cheese and veggies. I added some pickled onions from their fresh condiment bar. I was impressed with the incredible flavor! Their $10 keto taco is worth the price, hear me out. Had my doubts walking in the door; the menu board says it included refried pinto beans! I said no beans, and chose pollo asado as my protein. What arrived was a large cheese taco, that appeared to be 8-inches across, and loaded with chunks of pollo asado. The cheese was melty hot and crispy on the edges from the cooktop. It was not a precooked, stiff, crunchy corn taco shell. Overall, it had a brown cooktop crustiness to the cheese, and it was draped over the chicken, and looked impressively big. It tasted yummy, the cheese, the chicken, with the chunky salsa and onion/cilantro mix that I got from their fixins bar. It was well worth it, so I will be back. I will see if they are consistent in how they make them and the quantity of meat filling. That will tell me if this was a one-off and it depends on luck of which cook-staff prepares it. My wife got a carnosaurous taco which was the same but with Pico and guac which was better but too full to try and eat like a taco.
