I went the the Kent Island Jazz Festival 8/13-15/2021. I enjoyed some wonderful jazz. It was held at the Kent Island Yacht Club. What helped complete this orgasmic jazz experience was the wonderfully delicious food by The Smokehouse Grill. The barbecue ribs were tender and flavorful, and they never ran out of food. Smokehouse Grill LLC located on Kent Island is ran by thieves. This is the caterer that put on our wedding for Cari and I three weeks ago. We had large tropical trees and plants Along with our wedding arch that was left overnight. We ask Tammie for permission and she said it was no problem. When we came back the next day the wedding arch had been cut and thrown into the dumpster and our trees and plants stolen. I called Tammie and was completely pissed and angry as you can expect and because of that now she's not returning my $500 security deposit. She said that we forfeited the deposit because we left items overnight. The same items that she stole. After pleading with her for over 10 days we were able to get our plants back. They had them locked in a warehouse with no sun and no water. I can't believe Tammie and Steve actually stole from a customers wedding. As good as the food was this is the taste that they left in our mouths. We are now hearing from other wedding guests that had their items placed on the ground because the tables and chairs were being cleared an hour before the venue was over. This outfit is professional and thorough! We had the most delightful event for 300 people yesterday for faculty, staff, and graduate students....each with a wide variety of tastes and preferences as you might imagine. Steve Holden and his staff from The Smokehouse made my job easier. They cooked on-site, which added a nice element to an otherwise normal work event. The crew was on-site 4+ hours prior to the event start time, and had everything ready. Their service lines were clean, well organized, and continually checked and restocked throughout the event. Steve was wonderful to work with in the planning stages, accommodating the carnivores, the health conscious, the vegetarians, and everyone in between. The staff cleaned up so well that no one would have ever been able to tell such a large event had just taken place in our building and parking lot. I cannot say enough about how courteous and helpful his people were. We are using his services again in 51 days, but for a completely different type of menu. I look forward to it. read more

We had a bbq/crab feast for about 100 people the day after a wedding & reception. Smokehouse was on site 3 hours before the event, cooking and steaming! The four guys they sent to handle the event worked all day and they truly MADE the event pleasurable for us. If you want a catering experience where you don't lift a finger, give these folks a try. OH, and the food?! Off the chain! People said it was better than the wedding/reception the day before! Of course being the grooms father I was happy with those comments! We are so thankful we hired The Smokehouse Grill for our daughter and son in laws wedding 7/15/2017. The food was amazing. Steve his wife Tammy and all the crew were outstanding. Someone else commented ghost crew because they were always there but never in the way. Anything we needed or asked they were on it, but I don't think we needed anything it was already taken care of. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this professional, easy to work with caterer any time. If we ever need a caterer again this will be a no brainer. Smokehouse Grill was amazing to work with. They provided all our food for the rehearsal dinner where over 200 people enjoyed a crab feast and crawfish boil.
