Home made bread and unique delicious sandwiches.

I didn't know quite what to expect. I tried a tea place in Philly years ago at the "Ritz" and left hungry from the small bites of various things. Thought it was a once and done for tea places for me. HOWEVER...Snarky Tea House was quite the opposite! I was very impressed!!! 14 of us celebrated a milestone friend's bday. Perfect place for a celebration bc it was unique and memorable. Actually, all 14 of us were impressed! Apparently they bake their own bread. So darn delicious. Clever pairings of food...after all, who would have thought to put plum slices on avacado toast? And it worked! The mini sandwiches were all so incredibly good. The mini desserts also amazing. So many different Teas and they are very generous with the pots of unlimited tea. Honey, lemons, sugar cubes, lemon curd, and a few other toppings added to the table for scones and tea. You can see and feel the pride put into this place. I appreciated all the details in quirky decorations and food. I was thinking who could I bring back bc it was that good!! I highly recommend.

Went here for lunch/afternoon tea. Everything was absolutely delightful. The tea selection is great- you can try whatever teas you'd like. The food was tasty- no bad bites. Plenty of sweets and savories. They were willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. The staff was welcoming. The ambience was decorated perfectly on theme! It really felt like you fell through the rabbit hole to have tea with the mad hatter and other wonderlanders! The only "negative" side is that it is a tiny bit pricey, but it's totally understandable when you consider the experience you're getting coming here. That being said, I think it's absolutely worth checking out and I look forward to trying a different tiered tray next time we visit! Solid 5/5

Fun and cute spot! Celebrated my friend's birthday and she's a tea house fanatic. Snarky's did not disappoint. The establishment's decor is adorable. Enjoyed the tropical sunrise tea, blue pineapple mango, and variety of sandwiches, pastries, and scones. Will be back with a larger group next time to have afternoon tea,

1/2 way through my high tea. Yummy doesn't begin to describe it.

And here I thought finding High Tea near Doylestown was one of the very few things that indeed was impossible. The Snarky Tea House has proven that wrong-- Doylestown has a sassy 'new' sip spot, and how have I missed this for the past 13 months? Think Alice in Wonderland meets caffeine with sweet sarcasm. The décor? Whimsical chaos. The tea? Outrageously good (Caramel Chai stole my soul). The vibe? Half high tea, half fever dream in the best way. Come for the ambiance, stay for the food and service. Whatever you do, don't be late. Reservations only; no walk in seating. I've been to every local tea shop in a 30-mile radius; this one makes, bakes, and takes the cake (lol)!! Super-duper staff: the Mad Queen Ava bottle-feeds kittens when she isn't serving tea, and sings a lovely Happy Birthday if needed. Duchess Courtney was easily handling 6 impossible things all at once while I idled over my tea. They are all entirely Bonkers - but all the Best People are... thanks for a lovely afternoon! I'll be back soon...

I'd been looking forward to opening weekend, and it didn't disappoint. With its whimsical decor, delicious food, and lovely staff, The Snarky Tea House is a delightful addition to Doylestown's Main Street. The owner's knowledge of tea and customizing blends is evident, and her choice of chef is excellent. I loved the food, which for me makes all the difference with afternoon tea. I'll be back for more!

If you love Alice in Wonderland, you will love this tea house. Once you walk into the dining area, you feel as if you walking into Alice's garden ready for a tea party. Reservations are required and the menu is preset. The food was very good. Everything was served as a high tea including tea sandwiches, scones, mini quiches, and desserts. The quantity of food was decent. It was the equivalent to a lite lunch. I was full but not stuff to the point of exploding. The service was okay. Our server wasn't very attentive but I guess she didn't really need to be with a set menu. I did like that there was a small gift shop for tea purchases. Tea prices were reasonable for quantities avaialbe. I was disappointed in the tea selection offered during the meal. The list was very limited with only 4 black teas and one green tea on the list. The rest were herbal tea. I admit I am a tea snob but this is a tea house. There should have been more options for tea choices. Herbal tea does not count. Overall I would recommend a visit if in the area. It is a very girlie experience and would be perfect for a mother/daughter lunch.

Great finger food for afternoon tea, tray splits easily between 2-3

The service and food offerings were good. However, it is overpriced. Would only go back if it wasn't so expensive.

First off, there were two people behind the counter, a young man and an older woman. I have never seen either one of them before. Usually, the staff wears green smock-style aprons with "The Larder" printed across the chest. These two people were not wearing aprons. When I got up to the register, I asked about a specific product's availability and was looked at like I was from another planet. I asked again and was given a quick, non direct, somewhat of an answer. Then after I paid, I said "thank you", to which both employees stood silent and turned away. No "you're welcome", no "have a nice day". That is definitely not the normal there. Also, I was not given a bag- I had to struggle carrying my purchases to the car. I hope the original owner is alright and was just off for the day. If today was any indication of how the store will be from now on, I think I will shop elsewhere. I hate to say what an unpleasent experience I had, as I have always enjoyed shopping here.

This wasn't because of poor service or bad food, because those are both pretty good. This was really just due to the atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, it's a newer building and well-maintained (and clean). But gives me "Tea Room" vibes from the colors to the plants. With that said, I won't let this affect my review. Our last visit was on Saturday night. It was a strange night because on Sunday, we were set to be hit with snowstorm Fern. You could tell that people were bracing for what would come. To me, it was very reminiscent of just before the lockdowns for COVID-19 in 2020. Anyways, moving on from my memories of that! We sat at the bar, which is always my favorite seat in any restaurant, but we don't do much as normally we have our six-year old son with us. Not tonight! There were two (or maybe three) bartenders. It's a large bar, probably about 20 seats, and at 4:30 pm, they were all open but 2. We started with a few cocktails, an Espresso Martini for my wife and the Torched Orange Negroni for me. The drinks were good...the Negroni was too good and went down too quickly; time to switch to beer I guess. For appetizers, we ordered the Fried Cauliflower: crispy cauliflower tossed in pastrami spice, served with tangy mustard aioli; and the Artisanal Cheese Board: a curated selection of local cheeses, tangy pickles, fresh fruit, sweet preserves, crunchy crostini, and golden honey (and yes, we added the prosciutto for $4 more). The cauliflower was pretty good; it wasn't breaded, which I was happy about, and both the spice and aioli added good flavor and contrast. It wasn't that hot, but I didn't think anything of that (more on this later). The cheeseboard was larger than I expected. Several mixed berries, five different (large pieces) of cheese, the priscuotto, and some crackers. All good. The crackers were probably the highlight and the most disappointing item. They were very good, heavily flavored with rosemary and the perfect crunch and salt. But, they overpowered the delicate cheeses. My wife likes a cracker with some cheese, but in this case, we just ate them separately (still very good). For entrees, my wife ordered the Shrimp and Blue Crab Bucatini: green garlic butter, fresh scallions, and spicy Calabrian chili oil; and I ordered the Terrain Burger: 8 oz. grass-fed beef, Cabot Creamery white cheddar, sweet balsamic onion jam, brioche bun, simply dressed greens, with an egg (cooked to order over easy) and bacon. And since we were facing the snowpocalypse, I ordered the Truffle and Pecorino Fries for an upcharge instead of the normal salad that comes with it (more tea room vibes here?). My wife's plate looked very good, and I'm always happy to see when a pasta dish with seafood isn't ruined with a heavy red sauce. Instead, a light butter sauce complements the light flavors of the seafood. My wife took a bite and said, "Whoa, that's spicy," but the subsequent bites showed that perhaps she had the only Calabrian chili in the first bite, and it was not mixed through. She did mention to me that her food was just lukewarm (cauliflower flashback?). I briefly wrote this off because sometimes she likes her food far too hot (temperature)...but maybe she was right. I was first surprised when mine arrived. I was expecting fries doused with fake truffle oil and some grated pecorino on top. Instead, I saw fries that had a truffle cheese grated on them, not quite melted yet. It honestly tasted good and was a good change. But it wouldn't melt; my wife was correct with the food being lukewarm. My fries were cool, so the cheese never melted, and the burger seemed cool too. Now, that aside, the burger was cooked to a perfect medium and was seasoned well. It was good! All in all, it is a good restaurant. It's a little on the high end price-wise for what you get, but it is a good change. I will return and think about my Tea Room fears as I hopefully enjoy another meal at the bar.
