First off, there were two people behind the counter, a young man and an older woman. I have never seen either one of them before. Usually, the staff wears green smock-style aprons with "The Larder" printed across the chest. These two people were not wearing aprons. When I got up to the register, I asked about a specific product's availability and was looked at like I was from another planet. I asked again and was given a quick, non direct, somewhat of an answer. Then after I paid, I said "thank you", to which both employees stood silent and turned away. No "you're welcome", no "have a nice day". That is definitely not the normal there. Also, I was not given a bag- I had to struggle carrying my purchases to the car. I hope the original owner is alright and was just off for the day. If today was any indication of how the store will be from now on, I think I will shop elsewhere. I hate to say what an unpleasent experience I had, as I have always enjoyed shopping here.

There was a pizza shop that smelled delicious in addition to the menus I shared in photos. There is also a basement where the flea market had vendors were set up. After the event tables were quickly cleaned for a post event concert. You do need to take a pretty long staircase to get down to the basement which I do not think is handicap accessible. There was very limited seating in the basement even at the bar. They have some unique specialty cocktails. If that's your thing I did not try any of the food so no feedback on that. I will add that the venue opted to allow food pantry donations in lieu of paying a fee to get in to make the event accessible to everyone. The venue also allowed multiple non profit LGBTQ+ and left learning political groups to have tables on a sliding scale to insure they could participate. I was told that the venue communication was fantastic if you're looking to host an event in the future. Parking is all pay by app but there is a lot behind the restaurant as well as street parking.

Both were very good. We shared a Burrata Salad with Avocado and Shrimp and it was delicious There were 3 of us and we all enjoyed our entrees, with the Crab and Shrimp Ravioli "winning", although the other 2 people in our group would argue with me - but I'm writing this so ... The Penne with homemade sausage, sautéed mushrooms in a light cream sauce was very good. This can also be said of the Farfalle Asparagus with Shrimp, slivered Asparagus in a pink vodka sauce. We ordered a healthy medley encompassing the Miso-Maple Yams, Shrimp Martini, Blackened Green Beans, Fried Oysters, Black Tea Glazed ribs which were ALL absolutely scrumptious to the UMPTIOUS and the one dish that knocked our socks off clean out of our boots, that we loved sooo much, that we were planning to invite into the family tree was the Kanpachi Ceviche.
