We were informed of all the stories that are read online and how this particular company differs. We also weren't put on the spot to make a decision right then. The electricians responsible for the job were respectful of our home and our property. They even enjoyed having our dog in the yard with them. Everything was done in a timely manner and given to us as an understandable play-by-play. To no fault of their own (something to do with how our house was built), they did have to return the next day to finish one small task. I definitely recommend going through this experience with Volta.

Electrician wired it wrong three times,unhooked a 220v stove and left one hot wire and neutral,…read morethe installers got into a fist fight ( while very interesting it was very unprofessional) the salesman said I would no longer have an electric bill, and they were warrantied for 35 years ( 12 years later hail stone broke one I had to pay for replacement). 199$ for panels 200$ electric bill ( was 199$ for just electric bill before I got lied to) had to have them out SEVERAL TIMES just to get the things to work a little bit..... Junk product and an even worse company... Proud to say I got my 4 acre companies building not to use them. They lied to me...no respect for such such a place... If you are reading this DONT USE SUNSMART....they will tell you what ever to make the sale.

To make matters worse, I have been trying for a couple of weeks to get ahold of someone to see if they can analyze our system but they will not call me back.

We have been considering getting solar for several years. The price point was always too far out…read moreof reach. We had several companies come out and give us bids. We had companies bid where we could "lease" the equipment, a bid where we could buy directly from them and install the system ourselves which was supposed to save us nearly 40%. The company where we would install it ourselves told us it would "only take a day or two" to install the system. Luckily, before I pulled the trigger with any of these other companies, I met Patrick with Sovereign Solar. Patrick gave us a bid that was only slightly higher then the bid where we were going to have to install the system ourselves (including the permitting process and working with the local utility company.) Patrick did an excellent job navigating through the licensing and permitting process with both the local government as well as the local utility company. I can tell you this was not an easy process and one that I had no desire to deal with. Patrick and his team (Kyle and Ray) completed our project professionally and in a timely manner. Patrick has always been very responsive to questions and any concerns. I saved enough money that as an added bonus, I had Patrick install the "Sense" monitoring system so we can see exactly what appliances are using electricity and how much. So basically, if you are serious about getting a solar system....stop wasting your time looking around.....I have already done all the research and Sovereign Solar should be your first and only call.

They also had all the other options that the national companies have, including, access to high quality equipment, and financing options, but with a local presence in this area for several years. Patrick has proven to be dedicated to his customers, by always responding to our texts and phone calls without hesitation. In addition, Sovereign Solar USA and their employees worked with us to meet an installation date before the end of the year, with only a couple of months to do so. This not only included the actual installation, but also getting our Electrical Company's application processed. This was done without losing quality workmanship in the process. The installers Nick and Kyle also impressed us with their work ethic, knowledge, and customer service. BUYER BEWARE!!!!…read more Probably the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any type of contractor, team or company. First, the sales personnel instructed us incorrectly on the price from the beginning. We were promised 18 months 0 payment but they did not indicate to us that that actually meant we would get a check from them and have to wait for that check to cash to pay the loan company. But the loan company would still take the money out of our account with or without that check! This came to light AFTER we signed, even though we asked and re-asked so many questions and did read through the contract thoroughly. They initially design a system that was rejected by our electric company, so then they redesigned with less panels and we approved it. When they came out a month later to install they installed the first design on our brand new roof. The electric company came out again and rejected it. We worked for the next couple months to get them out to remove the panels and fought to have them fix the roof since it was their mistake. Numerous times I asked to talk to a manager, waited on the phone for an hour multiple times and most of the time they were unavailable or didn't return our calls. No one cared or called or tried to make it right. They would send out people to look at it then schedule then reschedule then send out one team, yet I would talk to someone else but then on the reschedule someone even different would come to the house. Here we are in December when it was installed in September waiting for them to fix the roof and have this inspected again. Second, their departments do not speak to each other. No one knows what the other promised or did or scheduled or talked about. EVER. The most disorganized company I have EVER worked with. Here we are 4 months later and all we want to do is have them come get their equipment from our house and repair the damage they did. Now we have to get a lawyer to fight with them when we gave them ample time to make it right. WHO IS RUNNING THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Terrible Experience - System Still Not Working and No Communication…read moreWe hired Lifetime Solar to install our solar system in June 2025, and months later it's still not working. In September, we found out the installation wasn't done according to the approved design plans, and no permit was ever posted or obtained -- which is a big problem both legally and contractually. We've tried reaching out multiple times by phone and text, and no one will call us back. It feels like once they got paid, they disappeared. At this point, we've had to send a formal demand letter asking them to fix the installation properly, get the required permits and approvals, and make the system operational within 15 days -- or we'll have no choice but to terminate the contract and take legal action. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Avoid this company unless you want to deal with unfinished work, missing permits, and zero customer service.

Now its Feb. 2026 wondering if ill ever get this system on line. My patience with company is running out fast. Guess i need to start thinking of legal out. Payment are to start in May 2026. They are very knowledgeable about solar systems. They repaired our system from poor installation and also squirrel damage. Even installing critiguard that Shinnova said we did not need they where close to half the cost to fix our 2 arrays. Sense Cromwell did the repairs and we were brought back online by them our system is performing better than it ever has. Making us more energy sufficient.
