I know this mall gets mixed reviews, but honestly I like it. It has stores I actually shop at, like Zara (and I really wish I had one closer), a huge 3-level H&M, plus Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. There's also Sephora and a good mix of other spots, so it checks the boxes for me. I get what some of the other reviews are saying it's not really a mall I'm going to every weekend but when I need to restock a perfume or shop for specific brands, this is where I'm going. Overall, it's clean, modern, and works for what I need. Definitely more of an intentional shopping trip than a casual hangout spot. read more

Eh, it's just a mall. Honestly it reminds me a lot of the Westchester mall in White Plains just smaller. As a few other reviewers have stated this is clearly a mall for those who are a bit more affluent or who are just looking for something quickly from one specific store I don't see this being a spot where people hang on the regular. I stopped in to visit a couple of different stores and thankfully the mall was pretty slow. I was shocked that there was no public Wi-Fi available, but it was quiet enough for me to take a couple of calls and be out of the way. There were definitely a lot of children in the mall for a mid day weekday and they were very loud so it would be great if there could be some sort of security to remind people that they're in a public space. I definitely don't see myself returning, especially since I don't live in the area. read more

WHY does this unfriendly, virtual ghost town of a mall exist? The employees are mean - and while I am admittedly somewhat neurodivergent, is it okay to make fun of a girl who is showing her husband things in a store in a somewhat excited, but not *absurd* way -- and loudly ask, "what is wrong with her?" No. No it is not. Is it okay for security guards who are bored to follow people around and accuse them of stealing when they did no such thing? I'd say no. No it is not. It is so pretentious and so obnoxious, and everyone in there probably bangs into the walls because they can't see them from holding their noses in the air. Everything is wildly overpriced. Even he kind of cool anime store, when we asked an employee about whether or not they had something, we were answered with "I dunno, I don't watch anime". Who lets these people work here? They're all rude. We looked at engagement rings in a store and once they *assumed*we didn't have thousands of dollars in our pockets, refused to show us any more. Maybe we did, maybe we didn't. All I know is how poorly we were treated the last time we were in there, I often look and see how empty it seems and I wonder who parks in that huge parking lot. Been wanting to come to this mall for a while after reading it was pet friendly. We brought along our dog and it was fun to walk around and be able to pop in stores with him. He met some other friendly dogs while there as well. We thought dog friendly stores would be labeled, but nothing was. The mall has some cool food stands like ramen, poke, matcha etc. There were less stores than a regular mall and the ones they do have are all very expensive like Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom. It was very clean and spacious. Lots of places to sit down. Parking is paid only, which is a little silly for how many spaces they have and how empty it was on a Sunday. This isn't an every weekend mall but I could see coming if you need something specific or if the dog needs some walking time and stimulation in bad weather. read more

I absolutely despise this mall. It's designed to only have the most pretentious, richest snobs in the state to access. Let me elaborate. The parking garage is a mariokart course. I'm trying to park and people are speeding, cutting, and nearly crashing into one another rushing for nothing. There's posters all around that say you have to take a photo of your license plate to pay. I wasted a half hour trying to do this. I go inside to find a machine to pay your parking. Take off those stupid posters and tell people to just use the machines. The stores are all high-end luxury stuff and it's up there with westfarms in west hartford, danbury fair being a bottom third. I'm not loaded obviously and I only went here to see a specific store, popmart. (Another scam but that's another review.) To get to the store you need there are flights of stairs and escalators. Rude people were shoving me to get upstairs. To get from store to store is a mile walk. Which is a shame because the interior is quite gorgeous. I'm a fast shopper and do not have time to walk long distances between stores. After the disappointing experience at popmart, I wanted to get something to eat. Expecting a food court, I went further upstairs. There's a to go joints, and a restaurant called uncle seven. Read that review. It's the best Chinese food i've eaten in norwalk. There's hardly a food court here which can be good or bad depending on the individual. At least security didn't stalk me as I was wearing a bonnet, a t-shirt and sweatpants. It was also on a dead Tuesday at noon. 2 stars because it's still a nice mall but explicitly not for those who aren't high class. read more

I wish the dining section of Sono was more expansive. For a shopping mall of its size, the number of places to get food inside are pretty underwhelming. I have never seen a shopping mall of Sono's size without a food court. I saw a Poke place, a Japanese place, some Starbucks ripoff, actual Starbucks, a Mexican place, and a pizzeria that I'm pretty sure has closed down recently (I hadn't seen anyone inside for a while). And occasionally, you'll see some fresh dookie from the dogs that Sono apparently allows inside the mall. read more

Usually see this place while driving on 95. Bec. we planned to go to the Yard House which is located by it, we had to park at the mall anyway and decided to spend time there. We paid $3 for 3 hrs via a link sent by text. Being from NYC, I found $1/hr rate very good bec normally pay $3.50/hr and up at our nearby mall. It is a beautiful mall with a mix of stores. Nice sitting areas. Some restaurants/eateries but no regular food court area like in other malls. Arcade and VR gaming place. There was even an art exhibit. Escalators and elevator only at both ends of each floor, which made us walk the whole place and was ok at the time, but will not always be convenient. The mall is kind of empty though, maybe bec it's a weekday. But accdg to other reviews, seems like it's how it usually is which is sad. I also noticed how early it closes. read more

Any operation of this magnitude is tough so I am sorry that these submitted reviews sound so depressing. This was opened or conceptualized during the pandemic - no one can be blamed. You can see residuals of a struggle. But with support and a glass half full mentality- progress and improvement is always possible! I'm glad i finally got to check this mall out. I've seen it from the highways been in the area and wasn't able to stop by at the time but this time I made it a point to go . I was close enough with friends we walked over . It looks very big but in reality it's not that big. 3 floors. Great stores. Some that we don't have near me , a nice H&M home store . Even the H&M is huge . Not crowded and the best part that I loved was that it was dog friendly, I don't think all those dogs were service dogs. We saw a few dogs in the mall. Everything was clean, few kiosk in the middle, great places to take pics! But definitely not overwhelmingly crowded. SoNo is surrounded in an area where there are many restaurants walking distance and right by the mall which is nice. Great place . There is an attached garage you can park in. I walked from where I previously was to the mall so it worked out great. . Would love to come again when I'm Not rushing. To see what I missed. read more

Overall it's a nice looking mall!!! I get it, You want to bring some class back to the CT mall shopping experience. I appreciate not having a mall full of rabid teenagers. Lol You can tell what type of "mall" this is trying to be because if the 2 main anchor stores: Bloomingdale's & Nordstrom. I started at the top floor which was a wise decision unbeknownst to me. It was where the food was located. There were no traditional mall (fast food) food vendors. This was elevated with several food kiosks and a cpl of restaurants. They served freshness at reasonable prices. The only other thing I remember was a random sportswear store that I never heard of and the amazing Skull & Combs salon/barbershop. Skull & Combs does really great work! The second floor was a boring blur. Nothing of interest that I can remember. The bottom floor was where all of the action was. It had the most amount of people and the most diversified, popular, and relevant stores. There was a craft/artisan section set up for local artists. There was also a section where a band, or some artist was soon going to perform. There is plenty of parking. Average cost is $1 per hour. Pay at the kiosk or pay through the app. I was only in there an hour. 3 stars? This mall still needs work. Pretty much everything is on the bottom floor. I mean there is a bath & body works across from the body shop. Two different brands, same type of products. Lush is right near L'Occitane. Same thing. Also, I need more menswear, other than at the large anchor stores. Once you walk the bottom floor with all of the typical mall excitement, the rest if the mall is a snooze. I wish they would take some if those 1st floor stores and spead them throughout the mall to Give me a reason to walk thru!!! read more

I would have been OK with a nominal charge for parking. but they have no interest in making any investment to make it easy. The SoNo Collection is a mall in South Norwalk. It's an upscale mall. You have to pay for parking. It's about $6 for the day. There's a lot of parking so make sure you take a picture of where you parked. You pay for parking at a machine or you can do it on your phone. Just make sure you write down your license plate number, and you don't need to put the ticket in on your car. Just put it in your wallet. The mall is really clean. There's a Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's and some more stores, like Zara, Abercrombie, Apple Store, Pandora, Swarovski, the Body Shop, H&M, H&M Home, Lush, and more stores. There's a gelato shop. There's ebar in Nordstrom and Bazille. It's a good mall, really really clean. There's lots of security. read more

There are so many wonderful things about shopping at The SoNo Collection. For starters, this was probably the most peaceful shopping mall experience I've ever had! This is likely largely due to covid, and not many people wanting to go out in public. I was able to breeze through all the stores I wanted to without the large crowds. My only gripe is that I wish they had a larger food selection. There were a few food stands on the 3rd floor, but with a mall that size, you would think there'd be more options. There's also a nice view of SoNo on the 3rd floor roof parking lot that also doubles as a cool photo op location! read more

Not a bad mall at all. Small with some good stores. The holiday decorations were great, understated and stylish. There are some empty stores, but there is still a decent selection. The Bloomingdales and Nordstrom are nice. They don't have the typical mall restaurants, but it feels the restaurants/kiosks cater to the audience. Also, tons of dogs in the mall. Almost feels like people just takes their dogs there for walks when its too cold outside. Just not used to seeing that in a mall, but nice. Its the closest decent mall to us. For more stores and variety we have to go to White Plains. Only negative is that parking isn't free -which I am OK with- but the pay stations are so incredibly slow. read more

A beautiful, upscale mall. Unfortunately only about 70% of the mall is open so far but your anchors Bloomingdales and Nordstrom are open and Apple just opened as well. The mall is very clean and designed very modernly and sleek. It is hard for me to give a full review because I was mostly working when I visited this mall and didn't get too much of a chance to explore. I will post a new review next time! I hate that you have to pay to park, I feel if you're giving a mall business by shopping, you shouldn't have to pay them to shop there. I believe you can get your parking validated with some vendors you shop with, so that's a plus but it's annoying to have to go through all of that. It wasn't a huge fee, I think for 8 hours it was $6. There are many ways to pay, with a link, app or at a pay station. I liked that I didn't have to download the app to be able to park with my phone. With that said, this is probably one of the most beautiful malls I've been to. read more

Very nice mall!!! Not very crowded..... on a Saturday! That had all of my favorite places to shop.... But they could definitely use a real food court with a chickfila or a Mickey D's. We ended up at boujee Italian place that charged me 2.50 for a coke. Heard this place was new, $3 parking through an app, definitely worth checking out. read more

We visited the mall on Friday, really went to try a restaurant located at the mall. Unfortunately by the time we finished dinner the mall stores were closed. The mall is quite large and the corridors are large and everything is clean and bright. The stores located there seem to be very nice but as I said they were closed. I look forward to visiting again and having the opportunity to actually walk in and see what might be available. Just be aware the mall hours are only opened until about 7:00PM so be aware if you are going to go to shop. read more

This is a very nice retail environment, and as a huge pro to me, they allow dogs. There's a ton of potential here with a nice selection of shops. However, I find the hours here to be unreasonable. All of the shops close at 7pm, which I find makes any shopping without a very clean plan almost impossible. I live less than a 15 minute walk away, but by the time I am out of work and can reach the mall, I am left with an hour or less to shop. While I understand the whole world does not work on the same schedule and many may be able to benefit from the daytime hours, I can't help but think the mall must be losing out on a significant amount of business by just not staying open an hour or two more. I would rate higher and go more often, but their hours make it impossible to find the time. read more

Don't bother. It's broad daylight at 7pm on a weekday and the mall has closed. Why would they want destroy businesses by only being open while everyone is at work. If you work 9-5 you may get an hour if that to shop. They open at 11am and close at 7pm. It's the strangest thing. No wonder it's always a ghost town in here. Finally! A new mall has opened up in CT. First impressions from the outside was that it's quite big but that is misleading. You can easily cover the entire ground within 1-2 hours. If you are hungry and are searching for the nearest food court you'll be out of luck. No food courts here!!! What they do offer/will offer are fast casual eateries scattered throughout the shopping complex. I really liked the architecture off the mall. I really don't like that you have to pay for parking. $3 for the first 3 hours. They don't advertise this but I have heard after I went that you don't have to pay on weekends. I also don't find the automatic toilets useful. They really should fix the sensors. Let's just say I noticed many ladies have trouble flushing. This mall is still a work in progress, give it a few more months and I see it more crowded. read more

I'm not a huge fan of malls but figured this would be a good place to check out when in SoNo (this is the upscale southern section of Norwalk, CT with tons of higher end stores and restaurants). The parking garage was huge and people were driving very fast so you had to be careful when exiting your car. I did see security checking cars so I don't think you could get away without paying at the parking kiosk. Inside, it's vast. A lot of higher end stores. I liked the row of food venues with seating around the area. Nice variety there and I almost went to the ramen restaurant but the line wasn't moving at all. Not very crowded aside from that section on a Friday evening. The stores were good but nothing too exciting that I haven't seen elsewhere. It's actually a really nice venue to walk around. They have seating spread out and nice decorations up. Worth stopping in although doesn't compare for variety with some of the larger CT malls you find along the way off of the highway. read more

The Nordstrom is good and the sales associates at the other stores seem attentive and polite but the place is totally dead. Paying for parking at a mall is pretty ridiculous. Hmm not sure. I've never had to pay to park in a mall before and I find the whole design very confusing with the parking, floor levels and elevators. I get totally lost each time so I avoid and find it easier to go into NYC. Lol. I got here today at 9.45, parked and found out it opens at 11. Another experience the mall gave me that makes me not want to come back. It always feels like it's never meant to be. For me anyway. I love the fact they have Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. A disappointing mall overall. While I commend them for persevering through COVID, I do not condone how underdeveloped this mall feels. There are so many barren and empty spaces throughout on top of having almost nowhere to eat. This mall could use a good, affordable and casual food court. The overall design of this mall also feels boring and uninspired. Aside from one bowling venue, there are almost no entertainment complexes or fun activities that give this mall a purpose in the first place. And this is a reason why malls have fallen off in general, they don't offer enough in-person fun that shopping online can't replicate. read more

I gave it five stars because the mall is gorgeous: both exterior and interior. The furnishing is very modern and it's the most modern mall I ever seen in Connecticut. Most of the stores are open and a few are still vacant. A Ramen noodle stand and an Amazon Store in the mall are unique. There are many high-end stores in the mall. Finally the mall has opened! 5 stars just for that. Not a lot of stores open at this point. In addition to Nordstrom, there's maybe 12 other stores open, mainly stores for women. Looking forward to the restaurants opening soon! I live 2 blocks away and traffic over the last 2 years has been hellacious at times. The worst was the evening before the mall opened for the first time, Nordstrom had an invite only soft opening event. I have to go by the mall to get home, so the last 4 blocks took me 30mins! Since then the traffic has returned to pre-construction normal, or even better. Big fan of Starbucks but alas there isn't one here. However; Nordstrom does have a nice looking coffee bar, so going to walk over this afternoon and get a coffee. Yes, cheating Starbucks, don't judge. read more

Beautifully appointed and pristine. It's still a mall however. I did not shop at all the stores that were open. There are plenty of spaces inside the mall for lounging and playing with devices. There are even charging stations. Very happy to have a Sephora right here in Norwalk. The Casper store is also welcome addition. Friendly staff at both stores. Never crowded. I found parking simple and efficient. Very clean restrooms and general shopping areas also new and well kept. Restaurants for seated dining are somewhat scarce , but overall place exceeds other shopping centers! Love Apple store and Amazon store. read more

Fabulous mall! modern, plush and luxe. A joy to wander around browsing and (gulp) buying. I originally thought I was just going to drop off my Imac at the apple store but then I got caught up in the ambiance and ended up on a mini shopping splurge. I hit bloomies first and decided the time was right to replace my northface parka but on the way a hot pink St John knit sheath dress called my name and I had to try it on -just to pass the time. Yeah right! I scooped up that beauty and then decided I simply had to get a pair of Louboutin's to complete the look. Thank god the apple store buzzed me that my imac was ready, in the nick of time as there was a pretty ivory loulou cashmere that also demanded my attention. Time to hit the parking garage, also a very lovely space. Now I just have to hide my purchases so the hubby doesn't bark. read more

They have the usual anchors - Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's, as well as Aerie, Abercrombie, Zara, H&M, Victoria's Secret, etc. The mall is beautiful and they do a good job at social distancing. Food court may not be like the usual mall food courts, but what they do have is delicious. Absolutely adore their poke bowl and bubble tea. Will definitely return. read more

Love the mall, the atmosphere is pleasant and calming, very clean, nice stores butttttt. The parking program is horrible, I parked there today, the parking attendant watched me park my car, brought my attention to a pen that fell out my back pocket - very kind. I went inside, paid for my parking using the #PremiumParking App - I wasn't in the store an hour, only to come out a find a ticket on my car for parking!!!! He said it was because he could not identify my car because it did not have a tag on it. Guess what, it has a TEMPORARY TAG because I just purchased it. That was very annoying. read more

Went to the new mall today and all I got was a headache! I am a fan of Nordstrom's and Bloomingdales and was super excited that they were coming to CT. HOWEVER....be warned about the parking: Big signs inform you you 3 choices to pay- 1. TEXT your license plate and credit card info- no thanks! 2. DOWNLOAD the Premier Parking app- and again divulge all your personal info- no thanks again!! 3. Pay at an indoor kiosk- OK fine-I think.... I put $5 in the slot to pay for 2 hours ($3) and wait for my $2 back. Instead I get a receipt that says they don't refund cash. I need to go online to Premier Parking/Refund and REQUEST IT!! I go into the mall and find a security guard and ask where the parking office is. "There is no parking office" is the response. "Don't worry- they'll send you a check!" Am I now participating in one of those prankster TV shows??? Must be. Back at home I go online to request my refund: IT GETS BETTER!!! Option 1. For a $5 processing fee they will issue a check! (On my $2 refund??) Option 2. For a 5% processing fee they will refund your credit card! Option 3. For free you can download that Premier Parking app and have a credit for your future trip to the mall! HOW ABOUT NEVER!!! read more

This mall is beautiful in comparison to others in the area, however, you have to pay to park and the alternating mask policies confused the heck out of me. As I entered the main mall entrance, there were 2 LARGE signs stating that you do NOT need to wear a mask inside the mall if you are vaccinated. I kept mine around my face but below my mouth/nose (I am fully vaccinated and had my vax card on me) At Nordstrom, H&M, and Victoria's Secret, employees greeted me and didn't mention the mask. However, about 20 minutes into shopping at Zara, the manager approached me and sternly told me to wear my mask right before rushing away. I did so and apologized without hesitation, but wish I had been greeted politely or treated more respectfully... I was following the rules on the main mall signage after all. As I left Zara, I did spot a very small sign at the far right side by the entrance asking customers to wear masks. If that was my store, I'd make the signage much more visible/legible and be a little more courteous when approaching potential customers. Overall, not the best experience. read more
