Absolutely amazing store! Local products and they even have an osmosis water machine so that they can be water bottle plastic free! They have amazing events here and an even more amazing networking women's group where not only do we network but we learn something together, it is in class format with beverages and wine. Love the heart of this store! Located in fabulous Laguna Beach, their vision is to capture the soul of those special vibrant places throughout the world. They select local artists to capture the DNA of their hometown and give back to meaningful causes. It's a small store so it can be tricky to find but it's right on S. Coast HWY. Charlie the dog was extremely friendly... much more friendlier than the staff that work here minus the girl at the register. My daughter and I went to check out the store today as I love the Soul Sister fragrance and Mothers Day is near. I wanted to make sure that this was the fragrance I wanted as a gift because they also have a couple others. We wandered the adorable store but were never really acknowledged by any of the staff except for the cute girl behind the register. They did not ask us if we needed help, not a hello, nothing!!! With a store that has such a name as theirs you would think the place would be more friendly and welcoming, perhaps a bit more humble. Not!!! Still love Charlie and the fragrance though . Was in Laguna visiting a friend who had heard about a macrame class at Soul Project. There were 3 of us and we called to see if we could arrange a class for a rainy day. They went out of their way and cheerfully made it happen and Molly was a great teacher, we had fun and went home with a very cool plant hanger. They also have wonderful clothing and accessories as well and we all bought a memento on the way out. Awesome place, go! read more

They were helpful but had kind of a bad vibe. The helpers in the store were really friendly but the store owner and people partnering with her didn't treat us with a lot of respect. They were so focused on setting up the store. They should have just set up the store before they opened, not during store hours. Their clothing was cute though, great designs. read more

I ordered Soul Sister's Magic Love Oil and paid $71.00. When I received it ,it was a very, very small bottle (approx. 2" by 1 3/4" and I did not care for the scent. There were also no markings on the bottle, noting how many fluid ounces it contained.....I thought that was required, for any consumer product. I have searched for what I need to do to return this product......and NOW I see "Beauty Products are Final Sales Only." This was not listed on my bill of sale or anywhere that a consumer would normally see it before purchase. I order online frequently and I have never been so disappointed in a product (or lack of it). It is not professional, to be unable to return a product that you are unhappy with. I admire their charitable intent, but not how they conduct their business. read more

I can say so many good things about this hipster yet humble place. All proceeds help community charities. They themselves are doing a can drive before turkey day. This place portrays good things. All of the merchandise in this store is made in the the US so you can rest assure that child labor was not used. They even have a triple filtered water dispenser inside that supports a greener environment with less plastic bottle usage. I also want to mention the cutest and friendliest dog coming to greet us as we walked inside the store. I regret taking his picture. I bought some great Christmas gifts here already. The soaps are off the chain cute and great for stocking stuffers. These hand crafts soaps were displayed for you to smell. They had cute designs working the soap like a wave or a mermaid. The cashier even put the soap on the cutest bag and put a ribbon on it. They also have shirts on sale for $10 in the back that are made with comfortable material. Next time I go I need to get the bum bum Brazilian cream (smells really great)! They have information about local hand crafted events and interesting things to look at. If you are looking for cool and unique gifts for someone or yourself this is a great places! I always find cool cards for birthdays or anniversary etc I've also had them make custom shirts and other custom stuff from pictures I've taken into them and when I surprise my family and friends with them they are always impressed ! Well I had to give at least 1 star to make a review. We spent a 100$ in this store called Soul Project. Summer,the owner was great very friendly while we were spending money in her store. My mom bought my son a 30$ toy that broke within a hour of buying it. We went back to get a refund the next day (any toy that cost that much & breaks in one hour is not worth exchanging) The owner tried to send her employee out as she didn't want to deal with us. She went from being so kind, and friendly one day to completely rude the next day. Funny thing is my mother was going to buy herself a 250.00$ bracelet,and a pair of 60.00$ earrings for me when she returned this toy. Glad she showed her poor work ethics before we had a chance to purchase over 300.00$ worth of merchandise at this lady's store. She should really consider changing the name of her store. I didn't feel any soul in there when she was faced with a refund. And we didn't get a refund she refused,and barley exchanged it for us,and not without an awful attitude. read more
