This place is great. I have bought various shirts over the years. This year I wanted a short sleeve, camp collar, linen shirt with a pocket. They had one in light blue that I just loved. I will admit they do get a little heavy on the upsell but I just say no. I keep going back because the selection and the quality are definitely there. Highly recommend. read more

Walked in looking for a simple sweater. Tried one on and the person who helped me said "it looks great! I love it!". It clearly looked terrible on me and told her I didn't like it. Try another sweater and she tried upselling me a leather jacket. Decided to buy the one I liked and she pushed another color on me saying "I'll give you 20% off if you buy both, you'll need it!". The proceeded "are you sure you don't want to also buy the first one you tried? I have to get rid of them, I'll do 50%off on that that first sweater" I said no thank you but she still was trying to push that leather jacket...this time in brown. So...she lied. It was looking like crap but you needed to get rid of it. I told her I didn't like it and still was pushing for me to buy it at half the price (after she already made me buy an extra item I didn't really need and after trying to sell me a leather jacket I already have). At the end she even asked if I wasn't shopping for any jeans by any chance. Seriously, leave customers alone, it's rude AF to be so pushy. Terrible attitude for sales. And attitude in general. Nah I'm really frustrated by the entire experience. Just bad, bad sales practices. At the register I looked up the store on Yelp and read other customers having the same exact experience with the same exact person. How does she know my review is supposed to be about this Eddy she mentions when I clearly stated it was a middle aged woman who helped me. 2. Eddy doesn't work at The Vault Men but she knows where and states it. But also says he is no longer with the company. 3. Then states she's worked with him for over 20 years so how does that make sense? 4. Owner tells me I should've reached out to her instead of yelp because yelp is for customers who shop which is saying what? I have shopped here at least 3-4 times over the past few years. I am a huge fan of the Robert Graham line of sports shirts and this is one of the few retail stores that caries that brand. All of the one star reviews here on Yelp are spot on and 100% accurate: 1) Very high quality clothing (which obviously isn't cheap), unique brands that you won't find in larger clothing chains. 2) Customer service is non-existent - think used car sales woman. Borderline aggressive some of the times I've shopped here. Head up to Gary's in Newport Beach (Fashion Island mall) - larger store, similar high quality clothing, and you'll get true customer service. Disappointing that the sales staff here are so aggressive. I prefer to support small local businesses (yes, the sales staff are THAT aggressive). Really makes for a poor shopping experience, especially when you are dropping $200+. read more

This has been one of my favorite Men's Stores for About four years, I particularly gravitate towards Robert Graham and Au Noir. The Au Noir sport coat my wife gave me a couple years ago stiil gets positive comments, particularly form guys; the price was quite reasonable. Once and a while I find things I like, but they don't have my size (L); likely because it's the most popular size. As new items get stocked regularly, I like to go back every three months while in LAguna Beach. Thumbs up. read more

Vanetta is the best stylist there she knows how to put items together that looks good on you and fits you well she will not lie to you. Vanetta put me in the coolest looking jacket and I swear that everywhere I wear it I get compliments the whole night! seriously I almost don't want to wear it out because of all the attention it gets me. We did some shopping in this store over Memorial Day. The store has a wonderful selection of merchandise-clothing you won't find everywhere else. We found the service to be terrific. My husband bought a few pieces of clothing, and one of the items did not work out for him. Vanetta took care of the situation immediately. Unless you just plan to spend a ton of money, I wouldn't go into this store. Extremely high pressure. We walked in just to look around and the salesman starting pulling clothes for me. Very high pressure and talking fast to get me to try on jeans and then shirts - acting like he knew my style based on what I was wearing...We'd been to the beach so I had on a swim suit, t-shirt and boat shoes. The jeans were $270 and who knows what the shirts and ultimately shoes were. He kept trying to get my wife to affirm his choices - but she was having none of it. After I finished he rang up stuff I never said I wanted and it came to somewhere around $600....he then started cutting prices and got to around $350. Remember, I never said I wanted to buy anything. Very used car feel - he slammed something on the counter when we left without buying. I've never felt better than when I escaped that store. read more

My husband can't stop raving about this store. They're are not a lot of options for men's clothing. The Vault nails it. He was very impressed with the service he received from The Vault Men. They have their own label of shirts specially made for their stores. Also he purchased boots, a sports jacket, 2 pairs of 7 for all Mankind jeans & 2 pairs of casual pants. The sales staff is phenomenal. Tania knew her products & was so helpful. She ordered the correct fitting pants for my husband who is 6'2". Eddy was wonderful as well. So pleasant to shop at this store. The owners are hands on & on site. Met & chatted with them. Wish they'd come to Boston but who can blame them for not wanting to leave Laguna Beach. We didn't! I visited their high end store in Laguna Beach, there's no way I could justify $188 for one shirt. They recommended their second store, Vault and I'm glad I went. The host was fantastic, a real character. I pushed him to his limits and he pushed me to mine, I left with 3 amazing shirts for $ 100, sticker price on each $150. Don't waste your money here. My husband and I are big believers in supporting stores with quality customer service. This store is far from quality customer service - more like shady and pushy! (as you can read from previous reviews). I had purchased clothing from this store for my husband a few months ago and he liked the shirts. I went back last week to surprise him with a new one, however he didn't like it. My husband went to return the shirt 2 days later and she told him they only give store credit or exchange, no money back! When I was purchasing the shirt she verbally told me a much different "return policy" - I could return the shirt if he didn't like it and if it was a christmas gift, I could even return after christmas. The receipt says only 7 days to exchange or receive store credit, no returns or money back!!! Needless to say, he was furious being that the shirt cost about $160 (with tax!!). She finally called the owner who ended up returning the shirt for us - but what a hassle!!! Such a shady way to sell something by lying about the return policy. We would have come back to buy stuff in the future but after this experience, we will never return. Buyer beware. read more
