i enjoyed my first time at the soup company! i love that i was able to choose which cheese i wanted on my grilled cheese sandwich and the flavors worked really great together dipped in my tomato basil soup. i came with a friend who ordered the chicken and wild rice soup and he loved it! at the end of our meal, the owner brought a little plate with two mini chocolate chip cookies which was just a beautiful little touch. hoping to give this quaint place another try soon. read more

I stopped here for lunch earlier this week. I had a half of a chicken salad sandwich and potato/carrot/spinach soup. It was excellent. Best potato soup i have since my grandmother's back in the day. The chicken salad was great - not floating in mayo like at many places and included grapes. The plate included a nice piece of watermelon and a sweet little fudge cupcake. Stopped here traveling between Harnett County and Charlotte for a quick lunch. The egg salad was delicious and the Venison Stew was incredible. I am not often in Carthage for lunch, but the next time I am, I will look forward to trying another soup at the Soup Company. My only suggestion: some way to try all of the soups of the day. What a nice find in the small town of Carthage! We wanted to meet our daughter somewhere different for a quick lunch and decided upon The Soup Company. Today there were five wonderful soups on the menu. My daughter and husband both got the same soup (the roasted red pepper with gouda) and they raved over it. They got a half sandwich with their soup, and I got the whole sandwich which was a generous size. We had the chicken salad and the tuna salad, both of which were freshly made and excellent. The chocolate cookies presented as a treat were delicious! The owners were friendly and personable. We will definitely return. read more

I went for lunch here with a friend about two weeks ago. She raved about this restaurant and I can see why. The owners are friendly and helpful and make good suggestions about the menu. I had an egg salad sandwich and it was without a doubt one of the best I ever had. The soups are home-made and very tasty, too. When you're finished lunch, the owners present you with small chocolate cookies as a closer. Wonderful restaurant and check out the Halloween decorations in season. read more
