We were told that since we purchased the rings there that they were under warranty as long as we had them cleaned and inspected every 6 months, but were never given any paperwork on this warranty (I guess this is where we went wrong). We have been getting the cleanings and inspections as we were advised to do and no one has asked us for warranty paperwork. We had the rings resized and soldered together in July of 2016. A small diamond in the setting fell out so we brought the ring in for repair in early January 2017. We were told that we needed to bring something in showing that the ring was cleaned and inspected in the last 6 months. So, we brought in our receipt from the resizing and soldering. Tim told us that this was not the correct paperwork and that we should have a pamphlet where they sign each time the ring is cleaned and inspected. I asked if I could have the pamphlet to get signed for future cleanings to make sure there is no issue on the future and Tim just kept saying that our ring isn't warrantied. At the end of our discussion we were given the ring and not charged for the service of replacing the stone and Tim said he would look into putting the warranty paperwork together and we could return a week later to pick it up. A week later I stopped by the store to see if the paperwork was ready and I was told Tim was on vacation for the week and the paperwork was not prepared for me (I'm guessing he probably knew he would be on vacation all week when he told me to pick up the paperwork this week). I was annoyed, but I was patient and just called the following week. When I spoke with Tim on the phone he told me that he would not be giving me the paperwork. He also explained that they warranty their rings now, but didn't do that at the time I purchased the ring. This whole experience left me feeling quite perturbed that I had been jerked around by Tim for a couple weeks. I was also disappointed to find that the warranty that I thought I was purchasing along with my ring by going to a local jeweler was non existent. I raved about Heritage since the day I bought my wife's engagement ring. This will no longer be the case for this jewelry store that doesn't plan to take care of an old customer in the future.

Although the staff here are very polite and I was able to get my engagement ring resized in about…read morean hour or so, I noticed a few minutes after we left that there were scratches and gouges all around the band that were very obvious. I did not notice this initially due to only being concerned with the fit. While I was immediately invited back to fix it when I called to inform them that they scratched my ring and it was then buffed out - I am still confused and disappointed that they would cause damage and not notice what happened before they gave it back the first time. The ring has lost quite a bit of its white gold look due to having to be buffed and will have to be re-dipped already - and I've only had it for a few months. I hope they learned to pay closer attention to their work and unfortunately I will not be using their services again.

The owner of the competitor's store told me his scale had just been measured 2 moths earlier. So maybe it's just that The Jewelry & Coin Exchange's scale hadn't been calibrated in a while. And another competing store's scale weighed my items at 4.4 grams. So go to several places and ASK what your items weigh on their scales, get their price quote, then decide where you'll sell your items!

The necklace is a gold chain with an opal and diamond pendant which was a gift purchased at Costco (yes Costco). While evaluating the jewelry, they were very kind and didn't bat an eye when I said where it was purchased and provided the estimated value. It took about two weeks to get back. While waiting in line, another staff member took my ticket (yay me for not loosing it) and got my jewelry. Which was untangled and put back together perfectly. Note: they are closed on Mondays. I learned that the hard way! They also have a nice selection of jewelry but I tried not to look at too much!

When I walk into an AD for Omega, Grand Seiko, Cartier, or Tag Heuer, I have certain expectations for my AD. Unfortunately, Mann's Jewelers did not meet these expectations of going above and beyond. If you know what you like and do not enjoy outside input, it is perfectly fine to purchase your watch from here. But, in my opinion, half the fun of watch shopping is explaining your desires to your AD and watching as they find a piece that meets or even exceeds your expectations. Unless you are deeply attached to Tag or Accutron, I would highly recommend also stopping by Cornell's (which is nearby) to speak with their highly experienced and knowledgeable sales folk.
