Solid place to grab food and watch sports on multiple big screen TV. I like how they serve the entire menu the whole day. I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of Mac n cheese at 7 AM which is great.

Pricey, but good portion size and tasty. Tucked away downtown, so parking was difficult to find. Inside is nothing fancy and feels like a bar, but putting out way better quality food. Will be back to try something else in their extensive menu!

Came upon this place by reviews as we parked our boat at Friendship park. A short walk from the park. As we walked in we were promptly greeted and orders are taken at the counter. We had to take a minute because the menu was extensive. She recommended the BBQ and burgers since that's what she said they were famous for. Drinks are taken at the drink station with a soda fountain and sweet or unsweetened tea. They even have a coffee bar area on the opposite side. Food was delicious, my only critique was my fries were Luke warm on the verge of being cold. A lot of our group got the BBQ Pulled Pork Reuben Sandwich. She recommended getting it on garlic toast. I felt like a burger and got the Bacon Cheddar burger. We were all amazed how delicious the food was and mentioned coming back again.

The fries were not seasoned at all. The burger was overcooked and it didn't have much blue cheese.

Love this place. They have a large selection of food and specialty items include bbq, southern dishes and sandwiches. My burger was phenomenal and the green beans were so delicious. I could honestly just eat a large portion of them they are that good. Can't wait to try more of their expansive menu items!

Club Sandwich on wheat with fries

Stopped in today at this small casual diner located just off the south bank. Parking to get in is a little tight. The menu for the business is expansive covering breakfast, sandwiches, melts, wraps, salads, and assorted special offerings like red beans and rice with choice of protein. You will order at the counter (there was a line when we got there at 11). Once you have ordered, you will be issued a number placard as then you can find a seat at the bar, a table or a booth. I opted for a club sandwich with fries, while my friends with me got red beans and rice with sausage and chicken tenders. Our food came out a short time later and my club sandwich on wheat was great. A good mix of piled high ham, turkey and cheese with bacon on top. Their wheat bread is really good and light. My friend who got the red beans and rice could not finish his meal bc there was so much. Great place for a lunch.

Delicious! Great breakfast and lunch options, decently priced and the service is always the kindest.

This place is a must try! Food was absolutely delicious however a little pricy for what you get. Service was good and it had a nice dive sports bar feel.

The southern grille right in the heart of Jacksonville offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. This self service establishment has it all from beverages to drinks. The ambience has a down home feel. Orders are taken at the bar. We ordered, we sat and was fed almost instantly. My wife already is excited to return. The wife had the southern grill breakfast which includes eggs, grits, meat, home fries and toast. I got the veggie omelet with french fries and an english muffins. I had the veggie omelet. The omelet was small to the oodle of french fries on my plate. The omelet was tasty. Once you pay, the wait staff does not follow up. A sign says thank you for coming. This is the only down fall. A hostess at the front would be a welcome addition to a well oiled machine of a restaurant.

Are the Southern Grill's burgers fire grilled, like a backyard grill? Are they a regular thick burger, not a smash burger?

The goal is to try every item on their menu. It's Mediterranean (Turkish) cuisine folks, which I call "guilt free, healthy eats". What to try you may ask. If you are striving for that "Olive Garden Salad + Bread combo"... let me suggest Kofta's version which is the Coban Salad and Puffy Bread. They're not offered as an all you can eat combo, but it should keep you filled between the two. - Coban Salad (5/5): A must try, soooo delicious. Fresh ingredients. The dressing, I could drink them in shot glasses. - Puffy Bread (5/5): It's made to order. Comes out nice and hot and puffy. Plenty to share with others. - From the Grill menu. Kofta Plate, Chicken Shish, Adana Plate are all good choices (5/5) - Sandwiches/Wraps: Their Doner Wrap was just okay to me (4/5) Service (5/5): no complaints here Pricing (5/5): Best value when you eat during Lunch. But Dinner items are not too pricey. Lastly, Buffets are also offered...on Sundays I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it definitely gives me a great reason to come back to Kofta.

Inside, the waitress (who I believe is the wife of the owner of the restaurant?) kindly greeted us and seated us immediately. The menu was extensive, plus they sometimes have off menu specials like fish. We ordered the adana lamb and adana chicken, as well as the mixed appetizer plate and calamari. It was way too much food for two of us, but it was all delicious. The meat was a little bit salty, but it was balanced out by the rice and other vegetables on the plate. The mixed appetizers were delicious. I don't think I would order the calamari again. Overall, great Turkish cuisine, owned by Turkish couple who moved to the United States a few years ago.

This hidden gem offers an intimate indoor dining room along with a charming outdoor patio. I highly recommend making a reservation, as seating is limited. Othello is a tapas-style restaurant, and we loved ordering a variety of dishes to share around the table. It was the perfect way to experience different flavors, and every dish we tried was beautifully prepared, fresh, and packed with flavor. Even the less adventurous eaters in our group left impressed. Some of our favorites included the whipped feta (don't skip the bread for dipping!), the roasted half chicken, and the butterflied branzino, which was perfectly cooked with a delicious char and bright, fresh flavors. Every plate that came to the table looked as incredible as it tasted. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions about the menu. One thing to know before you go: the chef has a very specific vision for each dish and generally does not allow substitutions or modifications. For example, one person in our group wanted the aioli removed from the tuna, but the dish was only served as designed. It's something to keep in mind if you have picky eaters or dietary preferences. We were so full after sharing so many plates that we had to pass on dessert, but that's just another reason to come back. Othello delivers a memorable dining experience with creative flavors, excellent service, and a fun, shareable menu. We'll definitely be returning.

I came in as a solo diner and was seated quickly, although my table was kind of nestled underneath the high outdoor bar. That meant hearing some of the bartender's phone conversations. I ordered a glass of Lebanese rose wine and liked it! But my meal wasn't impressive. The vegetarian grape leaves (one of my favorite dishes, generally) were OK, although several were split up on my plate (but hey, it happens). I thought the flavor was underwhelming; there was a lot of acidity but nothing else. I also ordered a side of "extra crispy seasoned potato fries" which just turned out to be generic crinkle fries with salt. Definitely wouldn't order those again. I thought maybe there would be some sort of twist on them? The big frustration was service. The restaurant was far from full when I went -- I counted maybe a dozen seated tables. After I finished eating, I spent more than 30 minutes trying to get my waiter's attention to get my check even as I sat with my plates pushed away, glasses empty, and credit card out. He walked by multiple times to wait on and check with other tables, and I saw at least five other employees working in the front of house and walking by me. Even when I got his attention for the check, it took quite a few minutes to get it, despite him walking out to other tables. (Although I will note he seemed busier than the other employees!) My check before tip came to $24, which felt on the pricey side for what I got. I hope I'm wrong, but I got the vibe that I wasn't exactly their favorite type of guest -- a solo diner who wasn't smoking hookah. (I noticed another solo non-smoker go similarly unnoticed by staff.) Maybe they heavily favor regulars, too. But they weren't at capacity, and I'd have gotten out quicker had I been able to pay. Maybe it was just an off night. But it's just not a great feeling to be ignored.

After a short wait, my food was delivered, and I noticed a small container of red sauce included with the meal. I wasn't sure what it was at first, so I tried it with my fries. I originally thought it was curry, but it had more of a thin, runny consistency with a spicy kick. It worked okay with the fries, but I chose not to put it on the gyro. Unfortunately, the fries were the biggest disappointment. They were extremely salty and mostly made up of the small broken pieces you usually find at the bottom of the bag. The gyro itself was good, especially after adding some white sauce my friend received with her order. We ordered the exact same meal, so I was surprised that she received three sauces while I only received one. Overall, my first experience with 904 Saffron was lacking. Between the overly salty fries and the inconsistency with the orders, I expected a little more for a meal that cost over $15.e
