Excellent food! We were visiting the town and looked for a highly rated unique cuisine and found this place. The place is nice inside, welcoming and selling some cool things alongside the food items. We both had a platter, one with falafels and the other with the marinaded chicken. They played had incredible salad and a red cabbage salad. Both were excellent! The bread was sold and warm and very fresh too. Then there was some white rice included and it was delicious too! It was jasmine rice and very tasty. We will have more items in future visits. Also, the platters came with a cup of their lentil soup, which for us was slightly different as it must have been made with tomatoes. Stop here and give them a try. You will love it! read more

I can't even begin to explain how much I loveeeeeeeeee Bodrum. I lived in Sicily and was overseas for a few years when I was in the Navy, and Bodrum's incredibly fresh food brings me right back there with each and every bite. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. My usual go-to will be to start with the Shepherd Salad and one of the Shish Kabob or Gyro platters which comes with your choice of shish or gyro meat, rice, salad, and some kind of carrot or cabbage drizzled with an olive oil mix dressing. Just delicious and hits the spot every time. I've eaten at Bodrum a handful of times, but have ordered for delivery probably a bit more and everything is just as good as if you are sitting right there in the restaurant. However, I do love eating in because the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful with the owners not leaving out one detail to make diners feel right at home. We are so lucky to have such a wide swatch of Mediterranean restaurants throughout Jacksonville. Bodrum is right there at the top. read more

I ordered online and the meal was ready in 15 minutes just as the eta stated online. Off to a wonderful start! When I entered the restaurant, it smelled like a mixture of vomit and old garbage. I have not ordered from here in some time, because my last meal was mediocre. I like to give people another chance. I've never smelled this foul smell here in the past. My falafel seemed old, dry, tasteless, and seriously overcooked. The hummus here is usually bland so no surprise there. It's a protein source. The crappy falafel hurt my heart though. The tabouli was okay. The rice was weird but edible. For $15, I won't return. It's sad to see local spots decline. read more

Don't judge the restaurant by the outside, once you go in the decoration is on point with a Mediterranean feel and filled with Nazar Boncuk or commonly known as the blue evil eye in Turkey; even the wooden tables have it. As for the food the hummus was creamy and delicious. The lamb gyro was pretty standard with tzatziki sauce and a lot of fries. We dined in for the first time this week. We were seated in a front corner with plenty of privacy. The servers were attentive and happy to answer all questions as well as make suggestions for our meals. We loved our lunch here! Stopped in because we were in the area, and I'm so happy we did! Got the grape leaves and mixed grill to share, they gave us free soup to start which was delicious and so comforting I loved the lentil soup! Grape leaves came next, delicious served warm, the leaves were tender and had that delicious lemon pop to them. Then the mixed grill came out, steak and chicken grilled skewer were SO good!! Wow; I loved the Beef Shish Kebab Sandwich. The Tabouli Salad wasn't my favorite but I tried it anyway. My wife had the Chicken Shish Kebab Sandwich. She loved it as well as the Tabouli salad. The gyro sandwich and fries were both plentiful and delicious. Sandwich could have used more tzatziki sauce and tomato and onion though. Bread wonderful. The spanakopita used to be our fav, but no more. The new wrapping not nearly as good as old one and only 4 now per order. They need to go back to the old recipe. Take out was ready promptly when said and Les than 15 minutes. Ordered take out so can't speak to ambiance. The on line ordering system only lets you do 18% tip and up or no tip - don't agree with that for takeout. read more

I crave Mediterranean food and have no problem driving from the beaches to visit Bodrum, as it's the best I've found around Jax that resembles the food I had when I was in Turkey. What an amazing spot in Jacksonville! This is only a few minutes away from the front gate of Base so it was ideal for us as we were visiting town. We read reviews and they were excellent so we had to go in. Once walking in, we were told we could sit wherever we liked. We opted for a booth. We love the decorations on the inside of the restaurant. The blue and white color aesthetic was visually pleasing. For our meal, we opted to get the chicken gyro and the appetizer sampler. With the appetizer sampler it is a pick four so if you look at my picture, you may end up ordering something different than what I did. I added a side of Taziki as well. Everything in the appetizer sampler was excellent. We also ordered a pistachio baklava to go, and unfortunately forgot to take a picture. It was excellent though! If we visit this area again this restaurant will absolutely be on our list of places to eat. read more

We have been carrying out from Bodrum for years. It has consistently been a place we could get great Turkish/Greek food. Whenever I picked up, it seemed to be less crowded than I expected. This past Friday we decided to find out why. My conclusion: I have no idea why. There should be a line outside to get in. Our entire experience was excellent. The wait staff was on point, attentive, polite and pleasant. The interior consists of clean, rustic lines with Turkish and Greek accents. A great use of space that includes some private tables. The tables themselves are beautiful as well and the place was just extremely clean. There is a Happy hour with a unique selection of beer from all over the world and every type of wine by the glass or the bottle. Our appetizer was the Hummus duo. The spicy was very good, the original was very good as well. The pita was fresh and soft, just not enough for the hummus provided. good. My soup (Chicken Orzo) was perfect and my Gyro platter was the star. The Gyro was amazing and the vegetable sides were extremely fresh. Saving the best for last: I don't know what the flavors are, but the rice is far and away the best I've ever had. That's right...the rice. The taste, the texture, it's amazing and just compliments everything else on the plate. We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. read more

On the table today: Appetizer sampler- Hummus, falafel, grape leaves & sauteed eggplant, homemade pita. A little bit of everything. I could easily get this as my meal. Babaganoush, Sigara Borek- bomb!, Lentil Soup, Chicken Sautee, Beef Shish Kebab, Lamb Chops, Limoncello Cake, Tiramisu, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Hot tea, Sangria. These were my first thoughts as I walked in the door to the cute looking establishment but my last thought were that was a great meal. Thanks to a recommendation of a fellow Yelp bud my friends and I stopped in for dinner. We picked a quaint corner table in a nook and promptly was beckoned for our orders. I ordered the chicken kebab. The plate on delivery was a wow factory with impactful colorings of the purple cabbage next to the bright orange of the fresh shaved carrots the rice perfectly molded onto the plate was full of flavor but that chicken tho! Smoked and tender goodness. Every taste of my plate exploded delight in ny mouth. Bodrum was the best family meal experience we've had in quite some time, with delicious food and service to match. We had hummus (both regular and spicy) and preferred the spicy, though it was definitely not spicy. It was however very flavorful. From the chicken gyro to the beef platter, everything was as hoped. The falafel was good but really should have came with a side dip of tzatziki- it had some white stuff on top but it was minimal and didn't really taste as I thought it would, so I'm not sure if it normally comes with a side and they just forgot? We started with a complimentary lentil soup. I don't like lentil soup that much because of the seeds, but they have the purée type soup which I love. I heart lamb so I had the grilled lamb chops. Char broil grilled deliciousness! Four pieces of flavorful chops with salad and rice. The best I've had - flavorful, tender, and juicy! You'll love this dish even if you're not a lamb fan. It also came with complimentary pita bread. I also had a couple of bites of their Lamb Saute and Grilled Chicken Kebab. Both were very good. You can't go wrong with any dishes on their menu. They also provide a complimentary Turkish tea to complete your meal. You had to roll me out of there because I'm so full.
