So I've eaten here many times enough to say it deserves a 5 Star and more rating. They're not the closest restaurant to me but given the chance, I try to come here as much as possible. The goal is to try every item on their menu. It's Mediterranean (Turkish) cuisine folks, which I call "guilt free, healthy eats". What to try you may ask. If you are striving for that "Olive Garden Salad + Bread combo"... let me suggest Kofta's version which is the Coban Salad and Puffy Bread. They're not offered as an all you can eat combo, but it should keep you filled between the two. - Coban Salad (5/5): A must try, soooo delicious. Fresh ingredients. The dressing, I could drink them in shot glasses. - Puffy Bread (5/5): It's made to order. Comes out nice and hot and puffy. Plenty to share with others. - From the Grill menu. Kofta Plate, Chicken Shish, Adana Plate are all good choices (5/5) - Sandwiches/Wraps: Their Doner Wrap was just okay to me (4/5) Service (5/5): no complaints here Pricing (5/5): Best value when you eat during Lunch. But Dinner items are not too pricey. Lastly, Buffets are also offered...on Sundays I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it definitely gives me a great reason to come back to Kofta. read more

Found this restaurant on Yelp and arrived around 1:30 on a Wednesday. The restaurant was completely empty so we were a little hesitant at first. Inside, the waitress (who I believe is the wife of the owner of the restaurant?) kindly greeted us and seated us immediately. The menu was extensive, plus they sometimes have off menu specials like fish. We ordered the adana lamb and adana chicken, as well as the mixed appetizer plate and calamari. It was way too much food for two of us, but it was all delicious. The meat was a little bit salty, but it was balanced out by the rice and other vegetables on the plate. The mixed appetizers were delicious. I don't think I would order the calamari again. Overall, great Turkish cuisine, owned by Turkish couple who moved to the United States a few years ago. read more

Newly open Turkish-Mediterranean restaurant located in the Winn-Dixie plaza on Beach Blvd and St. John's Bluff. I came in sometime after the lunch rush hour and it was quiet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was nicely decorated and the love the color schemes of the chair covers and walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was very nice and welcoming. They had a lunch and dinner menu out. I ordered the Chicken Shish and Falafel appetizer. The chicken shish had marinaded/seasoned chicken with rice, carrots, cabbage and garlic sauce. The chicken was very tasty with a nice blend of flavors along with the rice. The falafel was fried well and was also very good. They brought out this bread with sesame seeds and it was toasted very good. One of the best breads I've eaten. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the staff were very thankful. It was just the 2 of us for a casual dinner on a Saturday night and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was really good, the waitress was a very pleasant young lady who made sure everything was going well with the food etc. The food was very tasty. They serve a warm bread as part of the dinner service. She had chicken kebabs & really enjoyed them. I had a lamb shish which was also very tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was interesting. Since I saw a review about this place on Facebook, I thought I'd go with my wife and daughter to check it out. I didn't realize how new it was until talking to the owner. Anyways, we didn't know where to start as there were so many good options on the menu. He recommended the Mixed Grill, and I'm glad he did. For a family of 3, it was more than enough food to eat as we took two take out boxes. There was chicken three ways (kabob, cut, thighs), beef two ways, and sliced lamb (he gave extra since my daughter wanted to make a gyro with the bread that comes with it) along with rice, carrots, and cabbage. My favorite was the sliced lamp and chicken cubes, which seemed to have been marinated with something that I need the recipe for. So good. Anyways, he also provided yogurt and garlic sauce (which I was hesitant to try but was pretty good). I have eaten at Kofta Cuisine twice. The food is amazing. The appetizers are great, including everything on the (large appetizer platter). We loved the lentil soup with a squeeze of lemon and the puffy bread. The dried Turkish sausage pide was delicious, the Adana kebab perfecting seasoned and the lamb chops were exquisite! Oh, and the mantoo! Delicate tiny dumplings with the perfectly tart yogurt sauce! The server is engaging and responsive.
