Great restaurant! Amazing flavors. We love the ambiance, and the lighting is great. We were greeted with a smile, and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and quick & attentive service. Food is tasty and full of flavors! We got the sigora borek for appetizers and it was filling. Baba ganoush with the puff bread was a great combination. Shepard salad was packed with seasonings and full of veggies. Will come often!

Since I saw a review about this place on Facebook, I thought I'd go with my wife and daughter to check it out. I didn't realize how new it was until talking to the owner. Anyways, we didn't know where to start as there were so many good options on the menu. He recommended the Mixed Grill, and I'm glad he did. For a family of 3, it was more than enough food to eat as we took two take out boxes. There was chicken three ways (kabob, cut, thighs), beef two ways, and sliced lamb (he gave extra since my daughter wanted to make a gyro with the bread that comes with it) along with rice, carrots, and cabbage. My favorite was the sliced lamp and chicken cubes, which seemed to have been marinated with something that I need the recipe for. So good. Anyways, he also provided yogurt and garlic sauce (which I was hesitant to try but was pretty good). Anyways, he was attentive, especially being a new owner, and I wish we could have tried more, but I'll save that for another day.

Food was incredible. I got the chicken shish. This was the best Turkish food we have had in town.

The place is nice inside, welcoming and selling some cool things alongside the food items. We both had a platter, one with falafels and the other with the marinaded chicken. They played had incredible salad and a red cabbage salad. Both were excellent! The bread was sold and warm and very fresh too. Then there was some white rice included and it was delicious too! It was jasmine rice and very tasty. We will have more items in future visits. Also, the platters came with a cup of their lentil soup, which for us was slightly different as it must have been made with tomatoes. Stop here and give them a try. You will love it!

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. My usual go-to will be to start with the Shepherd Salad and one of the Shish Kabob or Gyro platters which comes with your choice of shish or gyro meat, rice, salad, and some kind of carrot or cabbage drizzled with an olive oil mix dressing. Just delicious and hits the spot every time. I've eaten at Bodrum a handful of times, but have ordered for delivery probably a bit more and everything is just as good as if you are sitting right there in the restaurant. However, I do love eating in because the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful with the owners not leaving out one detail to make diners feel right at home. We are so lucky to have such a wide swatch of Mediterranean restaurants throughout Jacksonville. Bodrum is right there at the top.

I immediately noticed the shwarma cooker in the corner looks like it's no longer in use.... Time to put it in storage since shwarmas are no longer on the menu.... The menu is extremely limited, but it didn't matter as I just wanted the lamb.... "Sorry, we don't have any lamb tonight...." Ok, I'll take the cabbage rolls.... "Sorry, we don't have any cabbage rolls...." Questions as to what the other items were met with a perplexed look by the girl running the counter and answering their phone, despite being unable to speak English well enough to communicate basic questions (she couldn't even say what type of meat was in any of the handful of dishes).... The attempt to order was extremely frustrating, as despite the fact that I was early for dinner they didn't have anything in stock.... I needed up ordering the beef stew and a gyro.... The beef in the beef stew was DRY.... And the stew badly needed salt.... Their gyro was like any other premade gyro that's heated up.... But as I was leaving, $35 lighter, they brought out a beautiful meal (giant feta salad and LAMB) for a local patron.... Incredulous, I informed the hostess/server that I did not see any of that on the menu..... To which she replied, that was "The Special...." Really...? I asked for lamb when I walked in and because you didn't have the lamb by the pound you forgot to mention that you had a lamb dish with as The Special...? Pro Tips: 1) Hire a hostess that can speak English 2) Don't show favoritism to your local guests 3) I had planned to come back with a large crowd to give you another chance, but now I'm just going to give you the review you've earned 4) Expand and improve your menu, as most of it is just ready made food they are re-heating; the $3.50 Aryan drink was the only quality portion of my $35 meal

I came in as a solo diner and was seated quickly, although my table was kind of nestled underneath the high outdoor bar. That meant hearing some of the bartender's phone conversations. I ordered a glass of Lebanese rose wine and liked it! But my meal wasn't impressive. The vegetarian grape leaves (one of my favorite dishes, generally) were OK, although several were split up on my plate (but hey, it happens). I thought the flavor was underwhelming; there was a lot of acidity but nothing else. I also ordered a side of "extra crispy seasoned potato fries" which just turned out to be generic crinkle fries with salt. Definitely wouldn't order those again. I thought maybe there would be some sort of twist on them? The big frustration was service. The restaurant was far from full when I went -- I counted maybe a dozen seated tables. After I finished eating, I spent more than 30 minutes trying to get my waiter's attention to get my check even as I sat with my plates pushed away, glasses empty, and credit card out. He walked by multiple times to wait on and check with other tables, and I saw at least five other employees working in the front of house and walking by me. Even when I got his attention for the check, it took quite a few minutes to get it, despite him walking out to other tables. (Although I will note he seemed busier than the other employees!) My check before tip came to $24, which felt on the pricey side for what I got. I hope I'm wrong, but I got the vibe that I wasn't exactly their favorite type of guest -- a solo diner who wasn't smoking hookah. (I noticed another solo non-smoker go similarly unnoticed by staff.) Maybe they heavily favor regulars, too. But they weren't at capacity, and I'd have gotten out quicker had I been able to pay. Maybe it was just an off night. But it's just not a great feeling to be ignored.
