Super friendly and helpful resort staff! Located in a great part of Key West! Very kid friendly and across from the Butterfly Conservatory!

Sticky floors, odd smells from the bathroom, really low water pressures and overall just underwhelming.

Got a deal on this spot. A bit pricey otherwise. Spent 5 nights here. Great location to all of…read morethe things-very walkable. Resort fee is a bit much given you don't really get anything for it. Rooms were clean, bed was a little too firm for me and the pillows were flat. Different activities throughout the week. Only downside is housekeeping slamming doors in the morning when cleaning rooms-if you were trying to sleep you wont be.

We were so excited to find out there was live music every day at the pool, only to be disappointed when most of the time it was not that good! They also allow locals/ non guests to come in which we heard several times while we were out from people and it was proven true! The bar/restaurant hours were so odd and it closed pretty early for being the only food in the place! Do not expect early check in or late check out- they do not accommodate this even though they text you to ask when you will be arriving! We only had someone clean our room once during the 6 days we were there! We ended up bringing our own trash out everyday, finding someone for toilet paper/towels, etc! This trip was for our honeymoon and it was just disappointing to spend so much money to get the bare minimum!

The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and Nick made it even better by offering us a complimentary breakfast, which was a lovely surprise. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable--perfect for a relaxing stay. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink that truly set the tone for a tropical getaway. One of the highlights was the pool area--it's stunning, with a great hot tub and plenty of space to unwind. We especially enjoyed having our complimentary breakfast poolside, which made for such a peaceful and enjoyable start to the day. A special thank you to Dina, the concierge, who helped us plan our day and recommended a visit to the Key West Butterfly Sanctuary--it turned out to be an unforgettable experience! Also, the resort's free shuttle service to downtown was incredibly convenient, and Jackie, the shuttle driver, was so friendly and helpful. Overall, this resort offers exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and thoughtful touches that make your stay truly special. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Key West!

The rest were visibly lazy. The music was absolutely terrible and way too loud into the night. Having a pool side room is HORRIBLE. We had trouble getting the room serviced. Had to ask for that to be done. Much of the room needs to be repaired. Peeling paint and broken tile. The food has become nasty and not good at all. This is advertised as an adults only place. There were ALOT of misbehaving kids here that took over the pool which is absolutely terrible. I was told havan cabana tried no kids for 6 months and lost bookings ----- well I'm here to say WE WILL NOT BE BACK. Expensive for what you get and especially what you don't get!!

Hop aboard The Galleon and set sail for a wild ride around the Florida Keys! Wait, wrong type of…read moreGalleon. The one I'm writing about is more of the grounded/foundation/building kind, and on my recent trip down to Key West I had a pleasant experience at said establishment. My travels were with a handful of coworkers as we escaped the NY cold to get some Florida sun. They had come to The Galleon two years prior and stayed in quite an odd and anything-but-enticing room. Luckily, adding me into the mix gave the need for an upgrade to one of their larger quarters that faced the marina. We walked in and there was some awe to our reactions. Maybe it was all the negative convos I had overheard about their previous place, but this was quite the space (too much rhyming?). Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a spiral staircase, a kitchen and dining area, and a breathtaking view (complete with balcony). We kept those balcony doors open most of the time just to really drive in that balmy feel. Beyond our rockin' room was the pool and beach area. Well, the pool was exactly as stated (a pool), but that beach? It was more of a tiny, sandy spot with a few chairs and no real waves. Hey, it was a way to get into the ocean and there was one of those floating wooden docks you could climb up on so it had that going for it. The rest of the outdoor area included a deck with plenty of tables and lounge chairs as well as the majority of this exterior section: the tiki bar. Hanging out back here really let the laid back Key West feeling sink in. So why not five stars? Despite the beauty of the room, by the third day, you could notice some wear and tear in spots that took away some of that original luster. Plus, it should be noted that The Galleon is really more of a timeshare, so housekeeping isn't an everyday occurance (we learned the hard way when we ran out of towels). Staff is also few and far between, but we ran into no big issues so this wasn't a problemo for us. Overall, The Galleon does deliver the essentials for a relaxing time when in Key West. You've got everything you need right there (including a nice happy hour special at that tiki bar) and a short walk away from the bustle of Duval Street. My coworkers are planning a return trip in two years and you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be shacking up again aboard the ship...er, um establishment that is The Galleon.

I returned to the hotel to check out early, only to be told I had to pay for the full 5 night stay. We had only spent one night. Just be aware the management will only allow refunds during hurricanes. In addition, the unit was run down and seriously outdated.
