I was gifted a massage here and have to say, as a former massage therapist trained in Russian Medical Massage, Cristina gives one of the best back/full body treatments I have had in my life. This hotel is not much to look at, but the quality of treatment was outstanding! I went in with target areas that caused me problems turning my neck and left 100% pain free. Cristina performs a true deep tissue, in the future I am more likely to go with a regular treatment because at times it was too deep. FANTASTIC! read more

I got a 60 min deep tissue massage with a reflexology add-on. The massage was okay. Very sporadic with no flow. The reflexology just hurt. I actually limped out of there and for the next day because of the reflexology. The pain was caused by over pressure on the top of my foot bones. I enjoy firm pressure I get massages 1 - 2 times per month so I'm not new at this. I would find a different place. read more

My girlfriend arranged a girls' spa day at The Spa at 10 North for two of our friends' birthdays and we had a wonderful time. I had never heard of it prior to today. It's somewhat hidden in the downtown OKC Renaissance Hotel. They offer manicures, pedicures and massages. The two birthday girls had pedicures and massages and the rest of us had massages. The girls were very accommodating. They allowed us to bring our own snacks and drinks to make mimosas. They also gave us space to store our items while we enjoyed our day. Naiesha (possibly spelled wrong, sorry!) gave me an amazing deep tissue massage. She started out by rubbing my forehead and cheeks, which was not something I had experienced, but it was perfect for getting me into a relaxed state. She worked a couple of my problem areas and I feel better than I have in months! I will be sending my husband to see her soon. They gave us the key to the hotel pool area where we enjoyed some time in the hot tub. Another good tip for those driving to the hotel - they provide fee valet when you are there for spa services. I would definitely recommend checking it out! read more

Yikes, I hate giving a one star review, but I just can't give any more. This spa is located inside The Renaissance Convention Center Hotel. We were staying at another hotel in the area that didn't have a spa, so I looked online to book pedicures for my husband and I on a recent vacation to OKC. The scheduling was a little tricky (maybe not a lot of folks getting pedis during the winter in Oklahoma, I get it). There were several emails before we could agree upon a time. After it was locked in, it was changed again, and the scheduler offered us a free bottle of wine for being flexible. We arrived and were ushered into a private, quiet room. We were never offered anything to drink. (After 45 minutes, I finally asked for water.) The ladies were nice, but I proceeded to receive the worst pedicure of my life. I had gel polish on my toes, and I could tell that was going to be a problem from Jump Street. (One of these days I will learn to just walk away.) In the future, Spas of America, please just advise clients that you are not familiar with gel polish removal and move on with your day. I am home now, still nursing the two major and three minor cuts on my toes. She never trimmed my toenails at all; when she was getting ready to apply polish, I had to ask her to trim my nails. She said she could only do three on each foot. Whaaa? She also didn't scrub the bottom of my feet, so I still have calluses. My 'technician' also appeared to have dirt under her fingernails. Why am I being so very specific? Because I have had literally dozens upon dozens of pedicures, and this was by far the worst. My husband called to speak to the manager the next day. We were offered massages (NO WAY!) and a feeble apology. The whole point of any spa treatment is to be relaxed, pampered, and come out feeling better than when you came in. This spa experience will probably haunt me in the future. read more

I had a very positive experience with the The Spa at 10 North, it is a day spa that offers a wide variety of services from body treatments, to nail and hair services. It is located in the downtown Marriot, so you are able to lounge around the hotel bar, restaurant, or pool if you have time between services. My massage therapist, Amanda, was warm and professional--the massage was fluid and relaxing with good pressure. I would definitely ask for her again at my next visit. I have talked to a few others who have used Amy, and they have said nothing but wonderful things about her. This is a locally owned spa located within the hotel, and it seems like the staff really cares about clients and are passionate about their professions. I believe it is the primary spa for surrounding hotels, so if you are visiting from out of town, this would be the place to go. For locals, it's a good location if you work/live downtown, or are planning an event around Bricktown. The spa provides free valet parking, which makes it easy if you are driving in from a surrounding area. I give it five stars because I really liked my service, the spa facilities are clean and well-decorated, and the staff is very professional. For me, that completes a relaxing experience! read more

When I arrived early as per their website for spa etiquette you can just stand in their entrance or go to sit in the HOTEL lobby. Where is the relax and prepare your mind for your special treatment???? (Spa Etiquette....We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to give you an opportunity to check-in, change, relax and prepare your mind for your special treatment.) We experienced fantastic service here! I had booked 4 appointments ahead of time for massages for my daughters birthday. Of course, with only two masseuses these massages were booked back to back. When the first two went in for their massage the other two hung out in the pool and dry sauna and vice versa. Tonya went above and beyond to deliver the ultimate spa party. The Spa at 10 north and Cassidy and Co. are sister spas with one downtown and the other in Nichols Hills. This review is more directed at Cassidy and Co, but the two businesses are entwined even on Yelp. On the day of my experience they told me they were fixing the website to split the two spas contact information apart as it caused a lot of confusion as to where your massage would be. Just now I've looked and the contact information is indeed split apart. My experience was a poorly designed website that made it appear that I was getting a reservation at The Spa at 10 North when in actuality the sister spa was taking my reservation. After driving downtown and discovering I needed to be back in Nichols Hills I was pretty upset. I was more upset when both spas expressed how often this happens. They were accommodating enough to take us 30 minutes late, but if they had just mentioned that there were two different locations on the phone when I made my reservation none of this would have happened. The Cassidy and Co spa in Nichols Hills is in the Waterford Hotel and athletic club in the basement. They have a pretty small parking lot, but there is a parking garage across the street. In order to get to the room where our couples massage was given we had to get on the elevator to go to the third floor to a conference room right next to the elevator. It is not very relaxing to hear hotel guests yelling and screaming in rooms as well as chit-chatting while waiting for the elevator. Also the cheap fold out massage tables were off-putting because the face rest could not support your head without falling an inch or so every couple of minutes. The rest "clicked" into place and if you relaxed your neck completely the rest "clicked" down a notch. It was very counter-productive to a massage. I wouldn't call this a "spa" experience. The masseuses were talented and very nice ladies. While this was a plus, the negative severely outweighed their skills. Maybe next time I'll get the reservation downtown, but as these two businesses are owned by the same company it would be hard for me to try the other location. The only reason my rating is 2-stars instead of 1-star is because I've only experienced the Nichols Hills location and the other reviews for the downtown spa are glowing. read more

The Spa at 10 North is 5 star when it comes to Swedish massage, and Amy is part of that reputation. I have been looking for a place to get a massage for about a month, and even reading Yelp reviews to find the right place. While other places had more reviews and great ratings, I wasn't sure they were what I would be comfortable with as I am a bit of a priss. On Friday I decided I needed a massage immediately. If I had to make an appointment for a week out, my frugal self would decide it was an extravagance I couldn't afford so I was very pleased when The Spa said they had a Friday afternoon appointment available for a one hour Swedish massage. I didn't ask how much because I just wanted to enjoy a relaxing moment for myself. The Spa is inside the Renaissance downtown, but they offer free valet parking to spa guests. They were busy Friday when I got there just before 3 and the valet said he would have to park the car and give them a call when I was done, because it would take 10 minutes to bring it around. If they aren't busy, they leave the car out front so you won't wait. Spa check in is in a small room away from the actual massage area. Amy met me in the check in area and walked me over to our massage room. She was pleasant and friendly. Her massage was FANTASTIC. She is thorough and applies the right amount of pressure. I didn't realize it, but I was beginning to doze off because when she was instructing me to roll over, I was drooling!!! Do not mistake this to mean her massage was too soft. She was kneading my muscles. The roll over was handled with respect and grace on her part. She must be accustomed to very relaxed customers, half asleep, trying to roll over without exposing themselves or falling off the table. Sigh, and too soon, the massage was over. I was booked for an hour massage and I received a full 57 minutes of relaxation! The massage was $85 and I left her a $15 tip, not quite the customary 20%, but I will next time. I also tipped the valet $2 bringing my massage to $102. A bit pricey to this full time pharmacy student, but worth every penny. My neck is tender to the touch this morning, but there the tension in my neck and shoulders is gone. I will be going back for sure. read more

Let me start by saying my massage service itself was great! She did a great job with the 90 min warm lavender massage with just the right pressure. Now to everything that is wrong with this "spa". For a hotel such as Renaissance I am shocked by the lack of this spa ESPECIALLY because of the price. A hefty price tag so just the service. There is no pampering. There is no dressing room. No robes and slippers. No hot tub or private sauna. No relaxation room for waiting. No snacks or cucumber water. You are basically led back into the hotel lobby/atrium to go into another door and taken to the room where the technician leaves and you get undressed and slide under the sheet. I was very disappointed in the experience because there wasn't one. Our appt was at 4:45 and when we arrived 25 min early to start relaxing we were basically sent back out to sit in the hotel lobby. The part of my massage that I didn't like is that it was supposed to be a warm lavender massage. I could feel the "warm" when she poured the oil on me but that was it. I never smelled lavender. If it is sold as a relaxing massage because of that, shouldn't you be able to smell it? It should be knocking me down in my opinion. Ugh. The facial was strange. She didn't remove my eye makeup. She never told me what she was using or doing. There was no extractions process. I had the Flaxx C facial. Being that it ended around 7, she told me, why I don't know, that she used day moisturizer on me versus night moisturizer. I thought that weird. When I got upstairs to my hotel room, I realized I still had some of the facial mask on my face. Ugh. I have no clue how others can give 5 stars for this. Seemed like a complete ripoff. If you travel and want to be pampered...don't go here. It's a joke. But if you simply want some knots worked out, go for it, just be prepared to pay out the wazoo for what you could get at a cheap Massage Envy chain place. read more

If I could give it zero starts I would. There is no relaxation room so expect to wait in the hotel lobby. The spa rooms are horrible!! After nearly freezing in the room, we asked for the table warmers to be turned on - which one never came on. There were bright lights tho...and no music until the end. Oh yeah - and if you tell them an area to focus on they'll give it 5min of attention at the end. And don't expect a foot massage either during a 90min massage - I guess they don't do feet here. This is NOT a spa! No tea or wine either. Just awful. read more

This is a hole in the wall. Looks like they took a closet and turned it into a spa. The massage room, is freezing. I go to a lot of spas, and this one is horrible for that they are charging. However, the massage was ok. The girls were polite. But my massage should have been $70 instead of $120. No amenities. No robes. No water except bottled water.. cold air blowing on your the entire time... no happy. I messages the owner, let's see if I get a response. read more

My massage therapist was, indeed, good at getting the "kinks" out of my muscles. She was also friendly, as was the receptionist and another therapist I encountered during my visit. However, I can't say that there was a relaxing moment during my 60 minute massage. To start with, the bed was not warm. The lotion was not warm, even the therapists hands were cold. Not conducive to relaxation. Second, when I lay on my stomach, my nose automatically gets "stopped up". I realize this is not the therapist's fault. However, it only takes a little menthol or even lavender to relax the sinuses and I've never been to a massage therapist who didn't have something on hand to address that issue. So I couldn't breathe. Adding to my discomfort was the noise around me. The music was not "spa music", it was more like creepy indian burial ground music and very loud. I believe the loudness was an attempt to cover the banging noises and people's voices on the other side of the wall. This did not go on the whole time but the loud weird music did. Although the therapist was proficient at "working out the knots", the rest of the massage was odd. It was like she was in a race. Movements were fast, jerky, and random, reminding me of what is must be like for a 5-year-old when his mother attempts to get as much of his body covered with sunscreen as possible before he runs off to jump in the water. After ALMOST 60 minutes, I was given instructions to dress and was met with a lukewarm bottle of water (from a package on the floor on the way out) and a bag of chocolate kisses. The therapist was so friendly and sweet. I've often thought that being a massage therapist has to be a tough job and I so appreciate the people who commit to this profession. As a consumer, though, I appreciate when people are honest about their experiences. Spending money on a massage is worth it when, for a complete hour, I am whisked away from all the stressful happenings around me, placed in a warm, quiet cocoon where I can clear my mind and enjoy the sensory pleasure of being human. If you are traveling, away from your regular therapist, and desire a "quickie" just to get the knots out, this is a very convenient place to go. However, if you are like me and really want to have a nurturing experience and mini-vacation from the daily grind, savoring and enjoying every moment in the hands of an "expert", this is probably not the right place for you. read more

My friend and I met in Oklahoma for our annual Galentine weekend. We always indulge in a spa package on our trips. We picked this spa because it was close to our hotel and the reviews were decent. We both booked the Detox Duo separately and were offered the sauna and hot tub if we arrived early. When we arrived 90 mins early, we were given a key to our lockers and slippers. One of the keys didn't work and one of the slipper pairs were two left feet. They didn't tell us that the spa, hot tub and sauna were in the hotel lobby and available to all guests. So we had to go back and forth to the spa through the lobby two times (in a robe) to get a new key and slippers with a left and right foot. When we finally made it to the pool area, we were not planning to share it with the most obnoxious family in the state. They were yelling, running, and jumping in the pool, giving no care to other guests. At one point, the father started doing cannonballs into the pool. There was no hotel or spa management checking on the pool area to monitor these kinds of activities so we gave up on a peaceful hot tub soak and went to our appointment early. When they finally retrieved us and walked us to our massage room, as soon as we undressed, the fire alarms went off and we had to get dressed and walk out to the lobby again. Eventually we were authorized to go back in and the services provided were not very good. My facial involved inexpensive creams and no extractions (the esthetician said they don't do that at this spa). My massage was so bad, my neck was tweaked during the procedure and it stayed tweaked for over a week. My friend's facial was cut short by 15 minutes for no apparent reason. The spa staff offered nothing to us for our poor experience; no discount, coupons, or even an apology. This was such an awful experience, I will never return. read more

Facials are meh here; massage was good. Mani and pedi was a JOKE. I won't be back. Wasn't even offered a bottled water - and waiting in a hotel lobby at a SPA is crazy. No pampering AT ALL. I expect more of a spa experience - especially at a Marriott property. Loud noises in mani/pedi room - that seemed more like a sweat shop. Facial was not appealing at all - but massage was good. I will start by saying I booked a mani and pedi for my wife and myself. The couples experience was good. The two technicians were good conversation. My issue, being a male that has never received these services before, is that during the entire treatment I did not even once get a nail trimmed. Doing a lot of manual labor in the shop you can imagine I needed some TLC. Again, I never got a single nail out of 20 clipped or trimmed. After the treatment I even had residual dirt under my nails. This was concerning. Now I did get a nail file to them but that was it. At the beginning the technicians told me that I didn't order the paraffin wax treatment that my wife had ordered, but they said they would throw it in for free seeing that they had already prepared it. But at the checkout the technician said, "he got the spa treatment also." We have attempted to contact management for a discount, but have not got a return call. I wouldn't recommend this spa to anyone. read more
