If I could give them 10 stars, I would. We stopped by based on the recommendation of a friend, and had an intricate design chosen that we found on Pinterest. The salon was clean, everyone was friendly, and our tech (Jimmy) definitely had an eye for detail. When it came down to the design being drawn, he called on a friend to come over. Not only did she knock it out of the park, it looked even better than what we had shown them in the picture. There were lots of staff coming over and watching the design being drawn, suggesting different techniques, and products, it was great to see that type of camaraderie and friendships. I've been going to a nail salon in Moore for about 3 years, but moved to the city about 8 months ago and continued driving back to Moore to get my nails done. I had been trying places closer to me and each one has been subpar to my usual place, until I went to Gloss. I called and asked if they had availability in half an hour to get a dip manicure and they did, and I immediately received a confirmation text about my appointment. I walked in and the nail tech was waiting for me at the door and took me back right then. She asked me what I wanted and had me check her work before each next step. I was there for 3 hours. To start off I asked for acrylic with tips, the lady refused and instead of acrylic she did "gel build" and I told her that I wanted acrylic. I also had the design pulled up on my phone which they have done it for me before and they couldn't get it right and they knew it didn't looks good and tried to be done with it. They were doing the design with the wrong color and they were being were sassy when I was asking them to re-do it. Eventually I had her re-do my nails and she was skipping steps and was just rushing to get out. And it was still around $130 after being there for a long time. To top it all off the nails were very flimsy, they started breaking 2 days after I had gotten them done. read more

I keep coming back here hopeful each time will be better than the time before so that I can leave a rave review, but it's not. If anything, it's worse each time. Every time I go I'm assigned the same technician, and each time I leave annoyed that I spent $80+ on a painful pedicure and rushed mani. You can see around my big toe where she dug around the nail and let's not forget to mention the thick, poorly placed polish or the rough skin on my toes. I have been going here for a long time - about 3 years total but I won't be going anymore. I got a gel manicure & gel pedicure and the total not including tip was $103.00. I totally understand paying for a service but when handed the pamphlet and being told a pedicure is $32 but you aren't told that "taking off gel" costs an extra $25 (which is INSANE) it can be really really frustrating. My mother, boyfriend, and I went to get mani pedis on 4/22. I asked for a gel mani & signature gel pedi (French tip on toes) my boyfriend got a signature pedi and gel clear coat mani. My mother got a regular polish pedi. I used the same color for my nails as I did my French tip which I chose from the gel polish selection. My mom was done probably 30 minutes before I was so she just waited for us while her toes dried. The woman cured my toes, but not my fingers which I thought was weird, but didn't say anything because I didn't want to question her work. The next day my finger nails & my mom's toe nails were already chipping. I called & spoke to a very nice woman & explained the situation to her & she said we could come in a day of our choice to get my finger nails & my moms toe nails redone. When we got there the woman told me I didn't ask for gel & she remembers bc she did them & had to fix a nail while I was there & my mom was told she just didn't wait for her toes to dry but they'll fix them anyway (not true because my mom was done before I was.) & I also ended up being charged $20 for them to fix our nails. We will not be going back & neither will my sister who usually goes there. I checked to see how much my boyfriend's card was charged (he & I were on the same ticket) We were charged $191 & tipped $10 on the card & $20 cash I did the math - $40 gel mani X2 $48 sig pedi X2 with a $5 extra for French. So how did I not ask for gel but I was charged for it?? In the future, we will go to a place that doesn't blame the customer for the mistakes/misunderstanding of the staff. & actually cares about the quality of work & the experience for the customer. The only reason I am even giving one star is because the women I spoke to on the phone was so nice & it is a clean salon. read more

The original nail tech I had rushed through my nails and so I called and asked if they would redo that nail, which they did, and by Friday night, another one of my nails had cracked. I am not rough on my hands by any means, so pretty disappointed to pay $45 plus tip just for them to last less than a week. read more

I had the rudest nail tech. When she asked what color I had on my toes already, I told her I had dip powder on. She basically said I was lying and that it was gel. When I proceeded to tell her i had gotten them done not long ago and it was dip, she responded "nope it's gel" not sure why i would lie about that and if you thought you knew what it was then why even ask. To preface, I have gone to this salon for 3 years & brought many friends/relatives with me to this salon for manicures and pedicures. I have not had an issue until the last 2 months. All of my visits have felt very rushed. Quality of work has been poor as well. I have tried both dip & gel manicures and all have chipped within a week of my visit. On one visit, the technician asked my profession to which I shared & she proceeded to talk poorly on the company I work for and my profession during my manicure. Today I checked in and asked for a soak off gel and a manicure with no polish or dip. I intended to receive a proper soak off, nail trim, cuticle care. Instead my technician took a manual tool and scraped off the gel polish, buffed each nail & sent me on my way. Another thing to add is that, all of these visits have been at times the salon is slow. There is really no necessity to the visits being so rushed and below standard at least that i can see to my eye. read more

I went with a friend to get my nails and toes done before my engagement pictures the next day! While my feet were wrapped and I was still sitting in the massage chair where you get your toes done, they started doing my dip nails on the tiny arm rest on the chair. While she was doing my nails she dropped the acrylic top coat and it got on my shoes. She then proceeded to wipe my shoes with acetone, which I stated would ruin my suede shoes. I let her know that i paid $45 for the shoes and have worn them 3 times. After my services were done and my shoes still ruined, she stated that she would take 10% off my $100 service and not pay for my shoes! Every single person in the salon had their shoes next to the chair and i let her know that and that if she didn't rush doing my nails while she still hadnt finished my toes that my shoes would be on the proper place at the nail station. She stated it was an accident and expected me to pay for her mistake. They called the owner to see if "they were liable" for ruining my shoes. In the end I paid $55 out of $100. Not to mention that my nails were the wrong color that I choose from nail color selections. I held my finger up to the color I choose and showed my friend. I wanted a light pink, almost white. What I got was bubble gum pink... She made an excuse that newly opened dip powder looks different than the nail i selected on the palette. I left with shitty service, ruined shoes, and messed up nails. If I could rate them a -5 I would. DO NOT GO. Poor poor customer service. read more

If you're short staffed, don't take walk ins or book appointments! At the end, all they did was offer a $5 discount for my sister. After an initial miscommunication with my nail tech (I was behind a brat!!), the owner stepped in and completely took such insane care of me. I definitely didn't deserve it. Did the thing. Broke down and went to get a manicure with my girlfriend. She wanted dip nails. I'm quite the simpleton when it comes to that stuff. I just get them buffed and shined with no polish. My girlfriend got paired with Nancy and I got paired with Danny. Immediately felt comfortable in this place. Danny started and finished my nails in no time! He did such a great job, though! Don't let the time fool you! He was VERY efficient. Nancy was talking to us and helping the time pass. By the time we walked out, it had been an hour and a half and we weren't even mad about it! Nancy did such a great job on my girlfriend's nails that she is still talking about them days later and getting a ton of compliments.
