The facial with Christine was amazing. The spa overall has great amenities and was very clean. The attendants are on top of it and service was helpful and friendly by all the staff there. The lounge spaces are comfy and relaxing. Beautiful space, the showers are a bit older with the Spanish tile and the robe I got was a bit more worn. When I'm in need of a recharge, the spa at Omni La Costa is my current obsession. You can get a day pass on Resort Pass for under $40, which gets you access to the facilities for the day and includes lunch and a drink! It also includes the use of pool slides and robes during your stay. The spa is serene and they restrict the number of guests per day to maintain a calm atmosphere. The outdoor pool and hot tub are great -- they even have sunscreen there for guests, and poolside service. There's also a co-ed lounge with snacks, tea, and infused water for self-serve. In the locker areas, there is a dry sauna, steam room, and two salt rooms, along with an indoor Roman bath. They have hair dryers for use, as well as disposable hair brushes, mouthwash, lotion. It's such a great value for the money and I always feel so pampered. My favorite part is the Luxe Lounge, which unfortunately was closed for renovations during my last visit. The relaxation chair and calm ambiance of that room is worth the visit alone for me. Excited to see the improvements during my next visit. I haven't requested a service during my two visits, but hopefully will indulge in a massage in the future! I'm a fan of Glen Ivy but Omni La Costa is smaller and less crowded with a greater value for the amenities to use. Plus, it's a faster drive from San Diego so it makes for an easier daycation recharge. The spa will be back to 5 stars for me once it's open for sure. read more

Enjoyed the day here for my birthday R&R. Beautiful spa! Friendly, CLEAN, well maintained. I booked the body scrub and it was the best I've ever had. The therapist was top notch, friendly and skilled. You can definitely tell the spa treatment therapists there love what they do. By the way, the booking price of each treatment includes automatic 20% gratuity and parking. I enjoyed the steam room, dry sauna, jacuzzi, pool, Himalayan salt room, but my all time favorite was the Mind-Sync chair experience. I did two 20 minute sessions and I slept SO deeply during the "soul soak" session. Give yourself extra time to arrive at least an hour before your appt to find parking and walk to the spa building, check in, locker room, etc. Spend the whole day there if you can, it will go by fast because it's such a great body and mind reset. The pool area has towels, water, Sunscreen and poolside service from the Cafe Spa. Try the smoked turkey panini for lunch, it is SO delicious. Poolsode waitress Jocelyn was so attentive and friendly. Amazing amenities in a spectacular, serene space. My masseuse (Rosalia) gave me the best massage of my life--she was the absolute best, I have never felt so relaxed! Rosalia embodied every ideal of a massage therapist; she was calm, kind, patient, thorough, and strong. Take your time and spend an entire day when you book--sit by the pool, order lunch (the crab tower and vanilla Panna Cotta are delicious), and enjoy! The only reason why they don't get 5 stars is because the services are outrageously expensive. Also, my entire massage I could hear people drinking and chatting by the pool which was a great distraction. I also think the pool menu could be expanded. They have very minimal options. The spa itself has a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, showers, a pool and offer poolside service. An 80-min hot stone massage is $300 and they automatically add a 20% tip to all services. HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!! Okay so the first time I came here was in 2016 (had the best time) and the more recent reviews almost deterred me from booking a spa day. I'M SO HAPPY I CAME HERE and here's why- I booked a signature scrub and massage (80 minute) at 2:30pm (SOO happy they were able to book me same day and on a holiday weekend). I was able to check in with the spa at 10am. They provide a locker, quality robe, slides for your feet. There is a private pool just for the spa with a jacuzzi and Roman showers (a must for the shoulders and back). They have a cafe and poolside service for lunch, snacks, drinks- the waitstaff was great, present but not at all annoying. If the poolside menu is a little more than you are looking to spend, you can take a short walk to the resort's Market Place where they have an epic Caesar wrap, pastries, coffees, alcohol, snacks, etc. There are fresh towels everywhere as well as cold, citrus flavored water. They offer sunscreen, hair brushes, mouth wash, deodorant, hair spray, blow dryers, shampoo, body wash, conditioner and more. Inside the spa you can utilize the steam room, sauna, showers, indoor jacuzzi. This place is so clean and the staff is amazing, constantly refreshing everything. In the spa waiting area they offer teas, dried fruit, nuts. Needless to say, you may pay less at another place, but you get A LOT less than here. Andres was my masseuse and OMG he was sensational- so strong and so fluid. He is truly a gem and if you are able to snag him I 10000% recommend it. I ended up staying till about 4:30. Gotta come here at least once. It's a great spot to hang out with gf by the pool ALL DAY. The pricing in expensive but you get to use the services for the entire day. I'd get there as early as possible to snag a good spot by the pool. I have to say I was most impressed with the food. Usually poolside service food is meh but not here. Ugh this used to be (like... for 15 years!!) my all time favorite spa. I would brag and brag and drag everyone here. Well. I'm not sure what in the heck - Covid I get, but the customer service (is there even any?) is terrible. :( No one answers the phone, no one is ever available. Either shut down or add staff. And to continue to charge the ridiculous prices for a spa that is 1/3 closed (there are tons of fully open spas ladies! You can go to Aqua spa for steam, suana, salt room, the works for $20 for day pass or $90 for 90 minute massage- Open every day 9-8:30!!) La Costa is down to Thurs-Sun only. What happened to the $60 day pass, or 1/2 day for $30?? What happened to Spa under the Stars?? What happened in general? Things are literally falling apart within the spa :( Ugh.. I still love La Costa. But.. they REALLY need to open back up fully, and re-staff and clean the place up.. freshen up! We are paying astronomical fees for less than an 8 hour day. With nothing to do except sit outside and use a tiny jacuzzi. Gone are the days of the indoor wet rooms there. Not sure they'll ever be back. Happy days are here again -- a hair/nail/makeup salon that is open 7 days a week!! In LA I could never get my hair done on a Sunday or Monday, but not so with La Costa. The hairdressers are the best: Jackie, Steven, Christina and Lora are the ones I visit. The place is cheerful, beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and efficient and they're almost never late. It's a calm, soothing environment. Plus they'll bring ya a glass of wine if you want. If you come at a meal time, you can order from the Bistro 65 restaurant on site and they'll deliver to the salon. They also have a great little clothing section, with really fun stuff, summer casual long dresses, workout stuff, pajamas, etc., and also beauty products. Not your cheapest place but the value is there, as far as I'm concerned. Usually $50 for a shampoo and blowdry, $35 for an express manicure, more if you want the whole treatment. The employees are so friendly and very helpful, and my dog Joey has the run of the place. There are valets if you want to park your car (complimentary; just give a tip), which is very convenient, but they also have self parking not far from the Spa. Great place, La Costa. We checked into resort on Wednesday afternoon. The Spa was open until 5pm. However because they were short staffed, the only service I could get was a facial for that evening at 4pm. As a spa client you can use the other facilities (steam room, hot tub etc). Since myfacial ended at 5pm, there was no opportunity to use the other areas. I asked if I could come back the next day just to dip in the hot tub for 10 min. The Spa manager said I could buy an additional $100 pass to come back and use it for 10 minutes, which of course I declined, she then said she would make an exception if I could assure her that it would only be 10 mins. Which was off putting and lacking in any customer service. After finding out the resort had many hot tubs at poolside, I didn't go back. What I really wanted was the 80min lux pedicure because my legs were sore after hiking so much. Again because of no openings (staffing issue) I could only get a 50 min pedicure on Friday that was supposed to be $70. I booked my apt and got the most minimal pedicure I have ever gotten. When I went to check out, the bill was over 100$. I asked why, when the listed price was 70. I was told the additional $30 charge was to take off my existing nail polish. I explained that I was never informed about the additional charge and all she said was she was "sorry". But didn't offer to adjust. Terrible customer service. Mediocre facial and minimally passable pedicure for 100 plus bucks. NEVER AGAIN! Bad ending to an otherwise nice vacation. It's lovely to go get a massage and spend the day at the pool and eat a nice spa lunch with a Mimosa... but since Covid the prices are outrageous!!! and they automatically add a generous gratuity to their outrageous price so you can't get a basic 50 minute massage for under $300. When I checked in, I was informed that the outside spa was closed due to renovations which was a huge disappointment as I was with a group of friends who would have loved to enjoy going in on a chilly day in January. But then she also proceeded to tell me that the sauna was out of service. So my 2 favorite spa experiences aside from the massage, I could not enjoy while still being charged full price. I called to inquire the price for a couples massage since pricing wasn't listed on the website. The spa representative told me it would be $185. I confirmed "$185 for both of us" Yes ma'am. I also confirmed there wasn't an upcharge for any lotions or deep tissue. Imagine my shock upon checkout we were charged $480! I called and spoke to Morgan at the spa and she told me the price was $240 per person. She admitted it was a miscommunication and a mistake on their end not to discuss the bill and the end of the service (which they started 10 min late). I had a luxury manicure and pedicure by Teresa. She took her time and was very careful with my cuticles. The spa is more expensive than a place at home to get these services but I thought it was worth it. The level of care and expertise is there. As I look down at my nails, I am so happy with them. Fantastic 5+ star experience at the spa yesterday. The resort is gorgeous! Everything is in bloom. The Spa is amazing! Very clean, everyone so nice and professional! I went for the day and bought a package that included 2 treatments (facial & massage), lunch and Valet parking. Sat by the pool, used both indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, steam and sauna. The services (as was the lunch) were fantastic! This is now my go to spa, as I live less than 30 minutes away. Highly recommend! read more

The nail services at this place are great. I got my fancy luxe pedicure from the amazing Monica! She treated my poor, battered feet with some much needed TLC and was fantastic. Beautiful resort campus, but I've had better massages. I did not have a preference for male or female masseuse but if I decide to try this facility again I will try with a female. Lights were not dimmed during my massage and I never really got that super relaxed and de-stressed feeling after my massage, so I spent the rest of the day trying to get that with the other amenities. This was perhaps the most puzzling and hilarious CX (customer experience) I have ever experienced. I was trying to purchase 2 guests at this "resort" and in the end La Costa makes it near impossible to spend money at their "world class resort." I had one woman tell me that it would be easier for me to purchase a bottle of wine from an outside source and have it delivered to the guest's room than it would be to buy a bottle of wine from La Costa and delivered to their room. She even said it might be faster. Guess they are doing so well that they don't need the business. I wonder what the board of directors thinks about this? "Well done Omni employee, we have a chance to be more profitable with the markup on a bottle of wine and we can't make this happen? WTF?!!!" The supervisor was explaining how they needed 7 days in order to prevent fraudulent charges, but directed me to purchase a gift card and the guest could use it immediately. When I asked her what the difference was between me buying a massage and me buying a gift card, she was stumped and said it was policy and proceeded to be short with me and quite rude. I have stayed at many a resort both in the US and abroad and I have never experienced something so ass backwards. They might as well have me send cash via a carrier pigeon. So, if someone at Omni Resorts comes across this review, perhaps you should investigate this issue/problem and resolve it so that your guests can truly experience a "world class resort." Until then you will be losing profitability that you are completely unaware of... or maybe you prefer to losing out on heavy margin items at your resort like massages and bottles of wine. Let me know when you arrive in 2021. Until then I will be staying at a place that wants to make my stay pleasurable and takes a credit card. read more
