I had the massage and my therapist was very sweet, asked the right questions and then provided the experience that matched what I shared with her. You can choose your scented oil and it was so nice I asked if I could buy some. The only thing keeping this from a 5star rating is that the massage table wasn't super comfortable fort body type and it was quite warm. Went there with a friend for her birthday for facials. Neither one of us thought it was worth the time or the money. The tech was new and didn't seem to know what she was doing. She just randomly put different product on and wiped it off complaining that the owner doesn't give them what they need to properly service the clients. There was very poor lighting for her to work in which was her first complaint. Her inexperience was very evident as well. My friend also said she was not happy with her experience. Wow wow wow... I am still living in bliss after my AMAZING Swedish massage by Harold. My husband and I came in for couples Aromatherapy massages. He was looking for a combo of Swedish / deep tissue to work out some of the knots / tensions areas, while I was looking for something more relaxing. Harold gave me the one of the best massages I've ever had, and I typically get a massage every month or every other month. He did techniques I've never had that pretty much put me to into a haze between being asleep and awake . My husband said I was making noises, and honestly - when I turned over for the front side massage, I realized I was drooling LOL. Harold had such good pressure with a soft touch - 10000/10 recommend and if we ever come back to visit Orlando, we will be coming here and requesting Harold and Anastassia again!! My husband called to make a reservation for me, my mom, and him, for manicures and pedicures for my mom's birthday. (My dad died unexpectedly a few months ago and this was my mom's first bday without him - so we wanted to make it special). From the very first phone call, to the moment we left our appointments, everyone was EXCEPTIONAL!!! There was even an opportunity for mom to get a massage - her very first massage ever!! Her massage therapist (Marc) was so informative, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. She now wants more massages! The ladies who did our nails were SPECTACULAR!! Not the best experience. I can never speak to a manager about anything specific. I live out of town and wanted to surprise my daughters who live there and my wife but they made it more difficult. I also had a gift card that expired hoping they'd be able to do something (valued around $200). That was in the past. Today I call and get Andy, the Gatekeeper and he won't let be speak to anyone but him. The website says he's the owner (I truly hope not). We were charged in full for our services at the time of booking, which led us to believe we would receive VIP treatment. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon arrival, we were told there was so much to see, but what we were shown was a VERY small room that seemed to be reserved for "bridal parties" mother daughter rooms ETC we noticed a few girls getting their nails done in another room, an outside jacuzzi for after massage first of all the jacuzzi looked old and dusty it was a potable one sitting right outside a room exposed to the world lol but that was about it. After that, we were directed to a waiting area where we sat for 30 minutes without any updates. When we were finally called back, I was disappointed to find out that they had no equipment available for the facials and the estheticians were to just use different products, (mind you all the same products to wash our faces) that was it I. This was not only frustrating but also unprofessional, especially given that we had already paid in full. When brought to the 2 very unprofessional managers attention they had the nerve to be upset and confrontational with me. Overall, I expected a luxurious experience, but instead, I left feeling undervalued and dissatisfied. I wouldn't recommend this spa based on my experience. Recently joined The Spa as a member for nails - I'm so glad I did it! I get a pedicure once a month already. So when I found out that their nail membership price for a mani-pedi is less than what I pay just for a pedi elsewhere, it was a no brainer. The Spa's new location is much bigger and so nice. Everyone is friendly and kind - you don't feel rushed! They take time to educate you on products being used as well. The free booze is great too. Best spa experience I've had in a VERY long time. I found this location via Groupon and I'm so glad I did. I booked an afternoon appointment for a gel manicure and express pedicure. Upon arrival The Spa smelled so good, with a calming essence throughout the space. The receptionists were so friendly and helpful. I checked in and was offered water, juice, coffee, or wine! HEY NOW, you know I picked the red wine of course, perfect pairing for my nail treatment. I was given a tour of the entire space, each room I passed was clean and neatly decorated. The location it pretty big, with two relaxation (waiting) rooms for you to decompress, sip on your beverage of choice and pick your nail colors. The tour highlight for me had to be the hot tub in the back of The Spa, which I was not prepared for at all. The hot tub is included with your nail service so please bring a swimsuit with you when you come. There's are showers/complimentary robe and lockers for your belongings so you can walk around feeling light and free. My nail tech was Alexis, she was delightful, sweet and did an amazing job with my nails. Her hands massaged my feet into pure bliss and if I didn't have to go back to work I would have just fallen asleep in the chair. I picked a festive red color for my hands and toes. I got the mommy to be massage which the technician did a great job on my low back. However the moment you walk in the door they are trying to sell you their packages for massage and nails. They did this very fast awkward tour that made me start my massage a bit late and could tell the woman had to rush through when massaging my arms and legs because of that. The set up for the massage was awkward as the head support had no forehead support which actually made my neck cramp more as I left( since I can only be on my belly with the cut out). Then soon as you leave once again they are pressuring you to get their packages. Atmosphere is just okay, nothing special. Overall I'd give the massage a 4/5 but the pressure not buy packages and set up definitely made it less than desirable. read more

I definitely have mixed reviews. My sister had found a deal for three of us to get our nails done together while on vacation. I have a nail lady back at home that I've been loyal to for YEARS. So that being said, I noticed some unusual things. For one, I was not at all impressed with their sanitation of tools or stations. I actually watched a technician not wash the bowl you soak your feet in between clients. It made me very uneasy and unable to relax. Not to mention my nail technician was VERY rough to the point of pain.Again, I get my nails done on the regular and the technique and aggression was entirely unnecessary. The staff at the front were very informative and professional. However, at one point we were stuck at the airport. We had thought we would not make the appointment and attempted to reschedule. However the staff was not willing to work with me and told me it would be considered a cancellation not rescheduling. Which ultimately would've cost me $75. The female on the phone said she would speak with her director about a potential solution. Hours went by and no call came, I don't think it ever would have either. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I scheduled a spa package for my mother and I for $715. I caught a cold from my child two days before my appointment. I called a day before (24 hours beforehand) to let them know I had a cold but I didn't have a fever. She said to come in unless I had a fever. Well my cold got worse that night and I had a fever. So I called in the morning to cancel my appointment or to reschedule for another day. Andy Swart took my call. I told him the situation and he said well you didn't call before the 24 hour notice, and I explained the situation. He very rudely said I don't know why you're explaining this to me. He proceeded to tell me to come in sick (I had 102 fever) that he didn't care and if I didn't come in I would lose my $715. I asked him to speak to a manager which he said all front desk employees are managers. But he would check to see if I called within the 24 hour period, which I have proof I did. I let him know I needed an answer before 10am because it's a two and a half hour drive and I would have to come sick if they wouldn't refund me or reschedule. I told him I am not going to be out my hard earned money because I unfortunately got sick. He proceeds to call me back and say he couldn't find out who talked to me and to just come in sick. He told me to come, no regard for the employees getting sick, or other paying customers. I said to him you really don't care about me infecting other individuals. He flat out said no just come in sick or lose my money several times. I went through with it not to be out the money, and the place is beyond disappointing. It doesn't even look like a spa, it's in a bad location and run down looking building. Inside was just as bad. The massage room was just white walls and massage table. Nothing about it was calming and peaceful. My massage therapist even had to unscrew the light bulb to "dim the lights"!!!!! The facial was a joke, it was just rub some cream on your face and wipe it off, over and over again for 50 minutes!!! All the towels in the bathroom were stained, the nail salon was just as bad. The chairs were very uncomfortable and they didn't even clean my nails. I couldn't even finish my spa package because how poorly I felt. The employees felt horrible for me. Andy the "receptionist" asked if I was ok knowing good and well I was so sick! I asked who the owner was so I could speak to them and they told me it was ANDY SWART!!!! The guy who was so rude to me and made me come in. I was in complete shock!!! That as the OWNER he didn't do what he should have done. I'm disgusted at his behavior and how he treated me. He should be ashamed of himself and how he treats people, endangers his clients and employees. I would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy. I would give it zero stars if I could. I still tipped the employees because that's the right thing to do. ANDY SWART should be held accountable and I will be doing everything I can to warn everyone about him and how he runs HIS business. We picked this place because we were told we would have a room to hang out w/wine, spa water and a hot tub to use before or after our massage. The room was provided. The hot tub was outside covered with leaves. we were told it didn't work. Had we known, we would have stayed closer to home. We Came with bathing suits and it was awkward for our guests. Next time just be transparent so the patrons can adjust accordingly. Wine and water was not convinient to access. It was located in a small low fridge you had to bend down to open in a kitchen not easy to carry or enough for the guests in room. Most spas have a spa water dispenser That is easy to access. They had a glass with water in fridge. We would have brought our own Wine and water. The music during the massage sounded like the mythical game of thrones music with scary at dark undertones. I had a very frustrating experience with The Spa Orlando. I recently made a booking reservation over the phone with an employee for an appointment that is for this weekend. Now, I'm trying to cancel (more than 3 days before, keep in mind) and get a refund, but they are refusing to accommodate me. I was shopping around at multiple spas because it is a birthday gift and I also do not live in the state of Florida. I would not have agreed to give them my credit card information if I had known it was non-refundable or that it was being charged honestly. I thought I was just giving the card number to hold the appointment.. as one does for every spa appointment. None of that was mentioned. No mention of no refunds should I decide to cancel. Despite more than 3 day cancellation period, despite not having the service, not wanting the service because I don't live in Florida. Their website doesn't provide any readily available information about their terms and conditions for "packages" because apparently it's because I booked a package is the reason I can't have a refund. The person I spoke with on the phone failed to mention that refunds aren't possible. This lack of transparency and poor customer service is unacceptable. I will not be recommending this spa based on my experience and I will be disputing this. I have booked reservations at many spas, even high end ones like Four Seasons and the Ritz -- which is where I decided to go. I am so upset. I did not see this happening. It does not make any sense to me why a refund cannot be granted. They said something about "losing business due to the booking" -- yes, that's an issue for EVERY business. Which is why they make cancellation policies (usually before 24 hours but hey what do I know). I tried to cancel THREE days in advance. Again, did NOT have the service. Do not WANT the service. I do not LIVE in Florida. Will be disputing. What makes it even worse is the fake "nice act" that customer service employees love to pull. I have worked in customer service for years. I know what's genuine and what is not. They did not care. Nor try to do anything or come up with some way to compensate. Other than "I will try to train my employees better" -- okay great. My sister and I booked a spa day package for my Mom's birthday and had high hopes that this place would live up to its "reputation." Since we're from out of state and our Mother lives in Orlando, we booked this appointment over the phone and emphasized that it was a birthday gift. After her massage, she was asked if she had any more treatments (Is your team not trained to write notes in guest files when they're coming in for a birthday gift?), and then she was sent to different waiting rooms. Her massage therapist said she didn't need a bathing suit and had a confused look as though this wasn't a normal thing to bring. (Why did you tell us to have her bring one when I booked the appointment??) Not only did the staff not acknowledge her birthday, but after her massage, the nail technician didn't even ask her if she wanted anything TO DRINK let alone offer her "complimentary wine." When my Mother had to ask for wine, the nail technician (who told her that she was just hired two days before) brought her a glass and PUT IT ON THE FLOOR. Are you kidding? Is this even sanitary??? It gets better. After a MASSAGE, she's seated for her manicure next to a 5 year old child who was making a ton of noise and throwing things on the floor. You can imagine how relaxing this must feel after a massage. The nail technician didn't even cut her cuticles or paint her full nail, and was "shaking the entire time." What kind of spa are you running? I work with several spa clients in Boston, and I have never heard of anything like this ever happening - especially being voted as "Orlando's Best Massage" on TripAdvisor & Yelp. I'll start off by saying my pedicure was great I got gel. My aroma therapy massage was not. I got a forearm rubbed up and down my entire body non stop. If I ever want to recreate the massage I just need to tell someone to move their forearm up and down my body for an hour. It was not relaxing at all. The room I got my massage in was right by the break room of the employees and there was this man with a loud laugh and talking to other employees joking around "what do you want?". I also wish the lights on the room were maybe dispersed because the one light was pretty bright so when I was asked to turn on my back I could see the bright light with my eyes closed not the dark rooms I'm used to during a massage with very small lights. Also the first massage where the therapist uses my arm to balance while massaging my back and then when she massaged my legs put one leg over the table lol. Maybe the business should invest in a white noise or rain sound machine to block out all the employees nearby and dimmer lights. read more

My 2 best girlfriends and I had a last minute girls weekend getaway and chose The Spa Orlando with an afternoon complete with massages, facials and pedicures. We were so excited until we were given the tour of the facility. The place itself felt like an old medical facility- not warm and welcoming as a spa should be. There were random sitting areas, hallways with unfinished flooring and dirty bathrooms showed to us during this tour. The cherry on top was when we were brought outside to the "jacuzzi" area on an old, dirty fenced in porch and told that it was the best part of the spa. It is 100 degrees outside and the the last thing anyone wants to do is sweat their ass off outside in a jacuzzi that was DIRTY as hell. The bathroom floors had not been cleaned and there were dead bugs, lizards and clumps of hair behind all doors. We changed into robes and waited in a common area for our first services to start. We were greeted with complimentary wine that tasted like it had been in an open bottle in the fridge for weeks- it was disgusting. All of our appointments were delayed which was fine but I know I was definitely gypped with time off my hour massage and facial. I went in 20 minutes after both of my friends and came out the same time they did. No one knew who was coming and going. All of us had the same services but had way different experiences. Two of us had steam during our facials, one of us didn't- two of us had an exfoliating scrub during pedicure and one of us didn't. Nothing was consistent- Your nail salon did not even have a way to take gel polish off a client. That is INSANE- and because of this- I was told I couldn't get a French polish because the tech was trying to rush since my friends were so far ahead of me. Please invest in one- every nail salon should have a drill to remove gel. ALSO the pedicure chairs and floors around the chairs were absolutely filthy. You could tell they haven't been wiped down or well cleaned in WEEKS. The pedicure chair remotes were ineligible due to wear and tear and everything was just dirty and OLD. The staff was mostly friendly but there was another client in the waiting area telling me that it was normal customer service at the spa because it is always unorganized even though they have good technicians. Absolute waste of money. Do not go here! Staff was nice and they all wore masks however the place is outdated & dirty. I went in for a facial, mani and pedi. I get facials often so I know what to pretty much expect. I asked the facial rep about the procedures of my facial & she said this was a relaxation facial & that the machine that extracts blackheads is something the owner was not interested in investing in. The facial she gave me was the soap cleaner, toner and moisturizer. There were no extractions of white or black heads and it was a "procedure" I do on the daily at home. Again, she was very sweet but I went in for a facial not a relaxation face massage. The nail tech was sweet but she was not experienced.She only cut my nails and painted them. There was no cutting around with a cuticle cutter pushing back cuticles. She shaped my nails with a nail filer and painted my toes. I had gel nail polish that needed to be removed From my hands and she took the nail filer began to file it off on top me by standing over me on the side and letting the debris go all over me. It was so uncomfortable and cringeworthy that I was desperate to get out of there. (Please see pictures attached to see the mess she left on me on both sides Of my pants). Not only was there was mess, she flooded the pedi tank by not shutting off the water So my sneakers got wet and water spilled all over to the sides. The manager came over to dry the floor but at that point my sneakers were already wet. Since this was prepaid, I still had a manicure to do. I didn't have her paint my hands because my toes looked terribles she buff out my finger nails and I left. I didn't even want her to paint my nails because my experience already there was a tragedy. I'm a first time mom to a newborn and I really needed this time to relax and be pampered. This was a total disaster and I regret leaving my newborn at home for a wasted 3 hours. The outside of the building does not do justice for the quality of service you will receive inside. Gabby meet us at the front door and greeted us with a beautiful smile. She was very quick to take us around and show us the facility and explain where everything was. She also explained how each service would go and where we could wait. Both staff members keep a constant check on us to see if we need anything. Destiny was the lady who did my hot stone massage and she was fantastic. She check with me before starting and want to know what areas need more attention. One of the best services was the facial. It was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it. My husband and my friends husband booked us massages while we are on vacation. We frequent the Orlando area and like to explore more than the typical tourist areas so we were excited to try a new place out. My friend had a great experience with her masseuse. I on the other had probably The worst massage of my life. The lady was older and perhaps she lacks hand strength but my massage consisted of her rubbing her fists all over me. I've never had a massage where they didn't use their fingers. Then she covered my body with the sheet and continued to fist rub me down and the sheet was so old and rough it was uncomfortable. The room was also very bright and not relaxing at all. Mind you it was only 1 light but it was bright not dim. The facility was so worn down and had the audacity to charge $130 for a 50 minute massage. My friend paid for me, so I didn't get a chance to voice my displeasure. Popped over to Yelp to see who I should select. Brandon had a great review so I chose him. Arrived early and was greeted by a cheerful and pleasant lady who didn't give her name. She gave me a tour of the facility including a well appointed waiting room, beverage cart with coffee, tea, white wine, red wine, water and juices. There is also showers, lockers and a secluded outdoor space with a jacuzzi tub that you can use after your services. They also offer manicure and facial services. At the appointed time Brandon came and got me and led me to a room with soft instrumental music. He asked me about my lifestyle and what I was hoping to accomplish with the massage. My old LMT went on to be a PA and I've been looking for someone as good for a long time. Brandon is it. Very professional with an excellent massage technique. Got deep down into my muscles and released tension and knots. And let me be real, he did a superb job on my gluteus where a lot of my pain resides due to an old back injury. You ignore my bum, I won't be back. Which is why up until today I've been looking. It felt like he spent the most time where I needed it most, rather than some places where you get the same massage as the last person. Thank. You. Mahogany. Seriously, I could die at your hands and I'd go happily. Looking at The Spa from the outside, you wouldn't think it would be as spacious on the inside -- it's like a TARDIS. Park in the private lot in the back and walk through the vine-covered awning to enter the spa. Inside, the decor is simple and classic; neutral colors with beautiful accents. It felt very open. I arrived roughly five minutes before my appointment and the receptionist greeted me, offering me a complimentary beverage of juice, water, wine, or coffee. After completing the necessary paperwork, they took me on a tour of the facilities. I was very excited to see that they do reflexology -- the room was gorgeous; floor to ceiling windows look out onto the green walkway. They also have a nap room, which I find hilarious/amazing. You just come in and nap before or after your treatment. I signed up for the Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage to deal with the knots in my back. Oh, how Mahogany delivered. I walked out a new woman. She was very professional the entire time, making sure to spend time on the places I indicated as problem areas as well as feeling out other issues I had, but didn't list. I was so sad that it only lasted an hour! I don't get massages nearly enough to justify buying a membership, but subscribing to their email newsletter also provides you with special deals as well.
