Dr. Mikal welcomes you in with the Hawaiian spirit that I've known to grow and love. I recently been suffering a stiff neck and shoulder pain and Dr. Mikal knew exactly what was going on. He explained to me the process and what causes the issue. Super chill guy, and natural comedian. The actual procedure is a bit scary at first, but I had full faith in Dr. Mikal. Originally went here back in 2019-2020 when they were at their old location. I delt with really bad SI Joint pain for years. If I had put a number on it. I'd say at least for 12 years. I used to lift (50lbs) boxes at work loading trucks. Thought this was a normal feeling. Fast forward to 2020 (during the pandemic lockdown) I was working night shift at work and my SI joint decided to no longer work.... lol the amount of pain I felt was too much that I was literally almost crawling to the bathroom. I setup an appointment with the doctor and he took me in. He and his partner understood exactly what was wrong and he adjusted my SI joint. It was so bad it took 3 weeks to heal. But! I was having really bad lower back pain to the point I had to go to the ER. I was given tramadol and suggestions on what to do for back pain. The tramadol masked the pain but didn't fix my issue. First time here. My co-worker highly recommended this place. They take insurance! My Co-pay was only $15. It was 20 dollars extra for the ice and electrical stimulation. You have the option of declining the extras after your first visit. So for $35.00 I had Dr. Jessica and Mikal Barchenger treat me. It has been years since I was adjusted. Dr. Jessica spent time educating me about the back spine, nerves, and muscles, which I appreciated. Dr. Mikal added some additional information about the treatment procedure. I really appreciated the amount of time spent on me. They told me that after the first visit, I wouldn't have to go over the orientation portion and could just sign and get my treatment immediately. They are a husband and wife team. Very nice individuals and professional. I liked how they explained everything as the adjusted my back. Dr. Mikal worked on me and boy did I hear some cracks! It was painless and comforting. The office is in the same parking lot of the 24 hour fitness. The office is clean and private. I highly recommend this place for your chiropractic needs. My husband and I walked in to have my husband adjusted. He had been walking around in pain for the past couple of days before I suggested he get adjusted. He has been adjusted in the past, years ago, but it didn't ultimately result in anything. Today, straight away, we were acknowledged and welcomed. Mikal was immediately open to treating him. He took the time to explain how they work and their philosophies of treatment. They were sensitive to payment methods (either insurance or cash) and went the extra mile to find out what our coverage would be. By the time my husband walked out of there, he was walking with a straight and upright posture (he was leaning to one side, a bit hunched over) and minimized pain. I came in here with my boyfriend, Alvin-- which I have to point out was very hesitant towards this because for some reason he hates getting massages or anything regarding his back. We recently got into a car accident and that's what really pushed us to come. When we came in, and were greeted by a husband & wife duo, we also had a short informative orientation on our spine, and with everything that they did for us, they would walk us through which was very much appreciated. During the readjustment, I was super shocked at how much my spine could crack. I was twisted in half like a Twinkie and it felt soooo good! (It hurt a little at the beginning, but what's good results without a little pain?!). I wanted to write this review for anyone whose skeptical, anyone who thinks they don't need a readjustment: DO IT! Take care of yourself, we all need it! No matter how young or old, come get a maintenance! We were recommended to come back 2-3 months, but that was for us. And they were very very helpful with anything we had concerns about, or just in general. Super duper reasonable prices, $15 for me because they accepted Kaiser and that was my copay (wooooo, they can also check your insurance for you). But my boyfriend who just recently lost his insurance was $50 which is honestly really good too! (I paid extra for the stimulation thingy and ice pack, do it your back will thank ya!). I have been suffering with lower back pain for years but the last couple of months the pain has become more of an issue. I went to my doctor for the typical cortisone shot in the back and anti inflammatory prescription. After the third or forth visit to my primary and a car accident I decided it's time for something different. I decided to see a chiropractor. Never been to one before. The spine Chiropractic has the best reviews of all the ones I read on yelp so I called and made an appointment. The consultation went really well. Jessica (forgive me if that's not your name) explained how the spine works in detail. Very educational consultation. I was nervous about the adjustment but Michael made me feel comfortable and worked on my problem areas. I walked out feeling better. Came into the clinic on a Thursday afternoon because of my problematic hip that I've been dealing with for two years. My left hip been popping in certain positions, but Jessica and Michael took the problem away within one session!! The main issue was my left hip, and they fixed every other problem in my spine. And I couldn't believe how relieving the adjustment was after one session. Boy can I tell you these two Doctors are BEAUTIFUL GENIUSES. They educate you on spinal health & the nervous system upon how it affects the rest of your body. Then they examine your spine, and they are able to figure out what parts of your spine and inflamed, tight, or "stuck". They are very patient and communicative when adjusting you. So don't worry if you are a nervous wreck, cause I was that person. And trust me i was basically screaming every time they adjusted my spine. You'll be laughing the entire time, and if your nervous don't worry they are super super comforting. Needed to find a chiropractic care with the right mentality. Before I went to the spine chiropractic I went to this other chiropractor who told me on the first day that they wanted to see me 3 times a week for the next couple months, and I soon as I heard that I new I needed to find a better chiropractor. Within the first 5-10mins of the session I was told they didn't want to see me often, which implied they wanted to fix me up and have me on my way. Which as a busy college student, I appreciated that immensely. Extremely welcoming and caring, Mikal and Jessica are such a great team. I was extremely busy that day and Called in that morning and they were nice enough to set up an appointment for me that same day. My insurance was accepted there which was great. Mikal adjusted me and during the adjustment he knew exactly where my pain was without me even telling him exactly. Working long hours in the operating room can take a toll on anyone's back . I've been a patient for over a couple years now. There has been times where I was having spasms and walked into the one place where I Trust most , and walked out feeling like a amazing.
