This is probably one of the worst gas stations I have ever visited in North America. I am talking about from Texas to Canada and California to New York. The bathroom was out of order and they charged me $0.50 for debit fee even though I used my credit card. Additionally, the credit card machine outside at the pump did not work. I don't have a problem paying 50 cents. It bothers me this gas station/mini mart does not inform the customers in writing or verbally beforehand. If the cashier had told me when I handed him the credit card, I wouldn't have an issue. He didn't and that wasn't right. I also didn't feel comfortable coming out here at night and I had to drive about a mile from Highway 99 to get here. Never again. A waste of time and a waste of five dimes.

The lot was a bit cramped and I had to back into the spot to get to a pump with diesel. The pump worked fine, asked for a zip code to go with my card--like any Valero. Afterwards, I was going to use the restroom and get a drink, but they didn't have an available restroom, and I thanked her, and walked back to my car.

There are some deals on the drinks, but everything is pretty much marked up since your grabbing snacks at a gas station. The store was pretty organized and clean inside, but the restrooms were okay. It wasn't the cleanest restroom, but what can we do since we were traveling and we needed a place to stop. Staff was nice, our whole party kept dropping stuff at the register to pay all together, so we are glad they had the patience for us. I got when they open. I put a lot of miles down adding to my carbon footprint. Putting down mileage requires me to leave early. So I have the rotation set up where I stop in here in the morning and grab my fuel. I would recommend stopping in during the morning. It is a breeze in and out. If you wait until the afternoon, get ready to camp out waiting for that awesome mix tape to drop. Those lines make you burn a gallon of gas waiting to get through. I will say that the savings that I have saved by using Costco fuel is worth the price of membership. Plus how often do you need a life time supply of toilet paper....always!

Most of the lines you have to go through the parking spaces to get to them making the last 3 pumps more packed as those are the only easy ones to get to. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the pump to fill up. As we were leaving we seen 3 workers standing at the booth just chit chatting instead of trying to direct traffic to the open lanes to make it run smoother. They need to get it get it together and help make this place run so much better.

This Chevron is right off of the freeway (99) in Bakersfield and it's very nice, clean, well…read moredesigned so you can just pull in to its many stations and get gas or wash your windshield. I love stations with actual soap in their windshield squeegy areas because it tells you that they care! This station is also very convenient if you stay at the Hampton Inn's because its in the same parking lot. It's well lit, but the only gripe is that they don't have a very big mini-mart ... so for traveling purposes you might not find much that you need here.
