When I walked in I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. Now the bad.. I wanted to do a SELF SERVICE DOG WASH. And was told it's by appointment, it was about 12p and the next available was 4pm. I was stunned as to there being by appointment when I am going to be the one washing my own dog. Not them. So I asked "why by appointment since is a self wash" I got a response with how busy they are and that people make appointments (in essence) which doesn't necessarily answer my question. I was looking for "oh we have a limited number of baths available" or "we need someone to supervise while the bath is going" etc. anyway. Instead I said "ok understood, thank you" I got no response. Then I said "have a great day!" And nothing. It may not rub some people the wrong way but it did me and reduced my stars on this place. For food I would say this location def has variety and the possibility of special diets etc. but the self bath I would say call ahead. Don't walk in.

We dropped Smaxwell off at 7:30 with a very friendly young lady who explained everything to us and told us about posting pics on Facebook. We were a tad late picking him up because the train was running behind but they said it wasn't a problem and we got him just in the nick of time. They even allow dogs to spend the night, if the train is late, free of charge!! Since I don't speak dog I can't 100% say how Smax enjoyed himself but he seemed tuckered our and happy to see me at the end of a long day of playing! I highly recommend this place for pups because they are very affordable, friendly staff, and located right down the street from the train!

Heartbroken and Disappointed…read more I really tried to help this groomer when she came to Montrose to groom my four golden retrievers. I had mentioned do you know anyone that needs a dog stroller, she said oh we could use one so I gave her mine -- it cost me $189.00 but I wanted to support her. I also gave her a new $50 dog bed and cover I took a glance inside her trailer and honestly it was very dirty, but I chose to look past that and be kind. She told me she traveled often between Durango and Dolores and offered to trim my dogs' nails in the future. I truly believed her and appreciated the offer. Later, when I reached out for that nail trim, she told me she wasn't coming back to this area and that I could either drive two hours or seven hours one way to meet her. That was incredibly upsetting. I'm caring for a husband with dementia -- long trips like that aren't possible for me. I gave from the heart, without expecting much -- just a little follow-through. Instead, I was left feeling used. It hurt to be treated like that after doing so much to help her. All I can say is this business is very self absorbed. I truly understand that the drive economically would Not be beneficial. I even offered to meet in Montrose I visit all The time. I think the bottom line she did not want to trim four sweet goldens with an exception of one being difficult. This is why I tried my best to compensate. She was the one that told Me of course I come To your area just call. Plus her cost to trim four dogs was 100.00 so on that day she made out with 339.00.
