    Terrible Unprofessional Bartending Service

The Springs was an amazing venue at a great price. Everyone was super nice, courteous, and flexible on our wedding day. One thing I do want to point out despite my 5-star rating is the fact that we were limited to only 2 bartending services. One that was all inclusive and really expensive (more than the venue itself) and another that charged $800 for 5-hours of bartending service and we provide everything (liquor, beer, wine, sodas, napkins, cups, straws etc.) , they go by the name of "3-Bartending" we went with this option, they were by far the worst Bartending service experience that we've ever had. Many of our guests complained about being forced to tip, and being harassed by the male bartender to tip or being plain rude to them. Many of my male friends expressed how all females would get a 16oz cups for drinks but males would get the 9oz cups that were purchased for wine and not necessarily drinks. Female friends even told us that the bartender would mention "I'll make you that drink if you tip me" comments like that. Given they already were paid and had a tip jar out, which we were fine with. But to be rude to our guests was totally unacceptable. At the end of the night our wedding planner mentioned that the bartender would not leave until we gave them an additional tip, after them having a tip jar all night, harassed our guests and had already been paid $800 for 5-hours of bartending service. Many people also complained about the lack of liquor in each drink, telling us they were very light which caused them to go for more and more, and each time they went, guess what happened? Even after them already tipping once before, guests were harassed to tip again! Lack of supplies, was not an issue on our part; we had plenty of cups, alcohol, beers, mixers and ice left over by the end of the night. It just seemed like this was done intentional to charge our guests for a drink that we had already purchased and paid for their service. Prior to the event we even had to do our own research for the ingredients and measurements of each drink that we wanted to offer. That kinda then surprised me that a bartender wouldn't know how to make a jack & coke, a cherry sour, or a screwdriver and why do we have to provide instructions to a bartender on how to make a drink, after literally being paid $160/hour to do their job. The least they could have done was do a simple google search prior to the event if they didn't know. I really do and blame The Springs on this one. With very little bartending choices and the only choice to have an a la carte option, we were stuck with a horrible service from "3 Bartending" I would write a very negative review for them, but to their luck, they are no where to be found on Google, which I'm not surprised, by the service they provided, they probably would receive many other negative reviews if they were easily found. The Spring, I really highly recommend you get a replacement or offer additional bartending options other than the only 2 options given

I didn't even bother to ask my Spanish speaking BF to translate it for me, thinking all I needed to know was the date, time, and location. Secondly, I have never been to a 2 in 1, wedding and reception all at the same location, so I really thought this one would be just like any other receptions I have been to. I'm so glad I went and had the honor of being there to witness the beautiful ceremony. This venue is literally out in the middle of nowhere. it's secluded and very intimate. The setting was perfect, overlooking the lake, the barn, and some hays too. The only thing missing was probably some horses. After the ceremony, we moved right inside for the reception. I love the fact that the reception hall was like a huge garage. It has rolled up doors that 2 full sides could be wide opened if the weather permits, which it was a perfect day for it. It's a location worth checking out and considering if you're planning for your big day. Just a heads up tho, the parking lot is all gravel, be very careful if you wear high heels. It was a real pain in the ass for me making that short walk to and from the car, but I suck at walking in high heels, so u might be just fine ;)

Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.
